I loved the haddock chowder! It was warm, hearty, and delicious. Some other menu items were a bit pricey, and the service wasn't speedy, but the atmosphere was pleasant for a weekend lunch. Next time I'm in the area, I'll visit again just to have more of that scrumptious chowder.

The best little spot in town with a side of locals that can be quite entertaining. Food will keep you returning and plenty of options with specials as well. Best pickle fries out there!

Very welcoming and homey. Food was delicious. Haddock sandwich & the chicken pot pie both were great. We sat at the bar so service was quick & friendly. Most people greeted Glenn on their way in. It was trivia night in the restaurant and it was well attended & sounded like fun. It’s worth a stop if you’re heading to Acadia NP.

The food was excellent. I had a fish burger that was cooked perfectly, so moist, flaky & delicious! The service was excellent, the waitress was attentive & we loved the atmosphere. It's always fun to look at the decor & Glenn's Place has fun things to look at. We'll be going back soon!

Very bright and clean. We sat at a booth with a lamp which made us feel very cozy and comfortable. The staff very sweet and accommodating. I had a pot roast dinner the roast was delicious and tender. The mashed potatoes were a little bit on the bland side and I didn't like the green beans. I don't like boiled green beans. But overall I had a wonderful time. One suggestion tho, is to have on hand plant base milk for people that don't use dairy products for their coffee. Like me 😊 Thank you for the great service. Good job Chef and front of the house staff! Keep up the good work!

Stopped by here for a drink and was pleasantly surprised by their bar area! You would never realize how much space is in this roadside pub. The bartender was friendly and while we didn’t eat, the food looked great. Would definitely go back next time I’m in the area.

Glenn's Place is a relatively new restaurant in Bucksport, Maine and every time we ride by the parking lot is packed. Today, we decided to stop regardless of how many cars were parked outside and see what the fuss was all about. I ordered a roasted turkey sandwich that came with sliced tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, a dill pickle, and chips. For $.50 each, I added bacon and cheese. For $1.00, you can add fries in place of chips. The turkey sandwich had a generous portion of turkey and was delicious. My husband ordered fried clams that were served with tartar sauce and a good portion of clams for the price. He also ordered a lobster flatbread that came with a nice amount of lobster on top. We didn't go away hungry. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the food we tried was good. We will visit Glenn's again when in town.

While out doing the Midcoast Maine Lighthouse Challenge, we pulled into the usually packed Glenn’s Place in Bucksport, Maine. A relatively new eatery which took over this location just this year, we thought we’d give it a spin. For a new place, it was quite a surprise and earned 5 stars from this reviewer. Here’s why: The place, virtually anytime I ride by is really busy. Now, to be fair, new places typically do well the first few weeks. But I happen to ride by early on, during a “soft”open and parking lot was packed and spilling over into the Rite Aid entrance. Whatever marketing they are using, keep it up. It’s working. The place was spotless clean, I mean, seriously eat off the floor clean. Which brings me to the next point, the decor was simple and seafood/ocean life decorated, but tasteful not overboard or tacky. The mermaids, merhorses, etc were great. Nice touch. From what I was told from someone who had been there previously before it was Glenn’s, it was a 360 turnaround. From picnic tables and a run down bar to nice place to take your family for a meal. Also a section for private parties and a seperate pub. The food and drinks was quite adequate as well. I had a standard burger and it was cooked just the way I requested. My friend had the Lobster Mac and Cheese, and she said there was too much lobster! What ta? I didn’t think that was possible, Finally, the wait staff was polite, fast and really on top of it. They brought this review to the 5 star level. All and all, great experience for the first visit, I plan on returning and if you haven’t already, check out Glenn’s Place.

I had some guests in town and we had a wonderful evening at Glenns. We sat in the bar area, which was really comfortable and welcoming. The mussels were fantastic! I loved the homemade haddock Chowder, haddock appetizer, and sweet potato fries. The others in my party said the baked stuffed haddock was delicious. The local fiddlehead beer (suggested by our wait staff) was the perfect choice. Thank you Glenn and everyone who made our night out in Bucksport so wonderful! I will stop back the next time I am in town!

This is our regular stop on the way to bar harbor. I always get the lobster stew which has lots of meat and the fried cheese curds. My wife loves the mushroom soup and the haddock stew.
