The restaurant's full bar was a definite highlight. They had an impressive selection of tequilas and other spirits, making it an excellent choice if you're in the mood for a delicious margarita or another specialty cocktail.
However, when it came to the food, there was a hiccup. I ordered a salad, but it arrived at the table quite wet, which was disappointing. I had hoped for a fresh and crisp salad, but the excess moisture seemed to drown the flavors a bit. So opt out on ordering a salad.
Despite this minor setback with the salad, the rest of the meal was enjoyable. The Mexican cuisine had authentic flavors and a good variety of dishes to choose from. The friendly and accommodating staff made the dining experience pleasant, ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our visit.
This is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in the area. They always cook good food. Our favorites are Chicken Quesadilla, Burrito Loco, and Carne Asada stake. Be careful as the portions are very big. Come to this place and enjoy some good Mexican food with a few margaritas. You will not be disappointed.
My wife and I joined another couple for lunch at Mi Mexico in Wheeling, IL. The weather was perfect, so we ate outside in their attractive, well-maintained garden area. The menu is typical Mexican with a large variety of choices; prices were average for this class of restaurant. The Lunch Specials were many, all priced at $13.50 and served with refried beans, Mexican rice, and cole slaw. Items in the Supreme section of the menu include tortillas as well and are priced at $2.00 more. I chose the Chimichanga with chicken filling while my wife opted for the Expresso Veggie Burrito. Our friends chose Arroz Con Pollo and the Chicken Carnitas from the Supreme specials. The food was freshly prepared, tasty, and not overly seasoned or salted; portion sizes are about average. Service by Santos was rendered in a timely fashion. Overall, we were quite pleased and hope to return again, perhaps for dinner.
We did carry out. Each order was great, med rare beef was tender and tasty, and that overcooked beef was delightful to my friend, (med well), The third of us had chicken. The food was ready when I got there. The staff were nice.
This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. Had so many different dishes throughout the many times we've been there and every one of them was excellent. My husband loves their house margaritas too. Wait staff is always friendly and very attentive. We would not go to any other Mexican restaurant. With all the restaurants out there, why go anywhere else.

Visited for the first time recently with friends who happen to be locals from the area. It is their fav Mexican eatery and I can easily understand their repeat visits.
Despite being a busy Friday evening, we were quickly seated and genuinely made to feel at home. The service and hospitality are second to none, matched only by the quality of the food.
Fresh flavors, amazing seasonings and top quality proteins are just the beginning.
Service was impeccable. It may be a bit of a drive for this Wisconsinite but we can’t wait to return!
Wow that was soo delicious!!🤤 This place is the BEST around, hands down Mexican food. I give it 20/10 on the food, got two large combos for $16 each. You can taste it, it's so authentic & good size food portion. I'm just sad I haven't came sooner 😢 but now I know where is my "go to place for Mexican food, here!".

Excellent food even for vegetarians. Their single order of Fajitas was sufficient for 3 normal eaters and we ordered an extra player of rice and beans. Do not forget to ask them about habanero salsa if you are a true spice lover. Their fried ice cream was so - so but was looking super delicious. Ask about their interiors and they look a perfect spot to have mouth watering food with family. Got lots of dining space and an excellent bar setup 👌
GOOD: Good food. Great selection for vegetarians. NOT-SO-GOOD: Wait staff mostly stood around in a big circle chatting with each other, only coming to our table (sometimes with a frown on their face) when called over. Not the most pleasant customer servic!.

The colorful Mexican decor boosts your spirit as soon as you are in. Food is good . Tried the tamale, fajitas and flan. All tasted good and authentic.
Owner was very friendly as well. Will definitely go back.
Went after work with some coworkers. We had the queso fundido for an appetizer. I was stuffed from chips and salsa and the queso fundido so I just got a steak quesadilla. Food was a little pricey but the quality is there.
Had dinner here with a friend, son and wife had chimichanga's and I had fluatas. All the food was good. I have been to better Mexican restaurants but I have been to many more that were not as good. I would return again. Their bar has a great selection of premium tequila's as well.
Great place serving authentic food. Only problem is that the food is more expensive and they serve less food. Like cmon guys
Fantastic food and very friendly staff. I’m a very picky eater who isn’t fond of mediocre food found in most restaurants, so this review is unusable for me. I had the Chipotle Red Snapper with mushroom sauce. Just the right amount of spicy. My wife had Camarones Culichi, Shrimp in spinach and Poblano crème sauce. AMAZING! Both dishes. The staff is very friendly but a bit slow. Just relax enjoy the place and slow down. Enjoy the amazing food.
Great Mexican restaurant. Their salsa can be spotty in terms of runniness & spiciness, but their dishes are absolute bangers. They provide the salsa on order, while giving a choice of flour/corn tortillas.
Not all dishes will have that freely available however. I had a chicken enchilada deluxe in the photo, topped with beans, rice, greens, and a dallop of guac with some sour cream.
Do come early! Their service speed really dips when you're late, and you could be waiting anywhere between 30 minutes - 1 hour for service.
For the price I paid I, I would have liked more generous portions. I ordered the spinach enchiladas. They were delicious! Except the amount of spinach was small inside the 2 tortillas.
