Stuffed Pepper Soup. Very rich & hearty
The Best fish fry I've had in years! Huge portions. The fish was nicely cooked, super crispy. Homemade Mac salad-so good since many places don't make their own. Fresh cole slaw. Had to take home leftovers. Friends had lobster Mac-amazing!
Mac n Cheese heaven!. I can't tell you how many places I've been to that have said they have the best Mac n Cheese in town and its been terrible. I was reluctant to try it any where else but Mooney's unique flavored choices dictated I try. I tried the Stuffed Hot Pepper Mac n Cheese and its out of this world, amazing taste and you get a HUGE potion for $5.95. I also tried an order of their Nachos and 2 of us could only eat about half, really huge portion. I can't wait to go back and try the other flavors of Mac n Cheese!
While attending both the Soup Fest and Pizza Bash this year, a couple restaurants popped up on my radar. Mooney's Sports Bar and Grill was one of those restaurants. At the Soup Fest their Buffalo Wing soup was Alli's favorite and at the Pizza Bash they were offering California Crab Roll pizza that wasn't the most delicious pizza but a very creative idea nonetheless. So we put it on our wish-list and thought that maybe we'd make it there in the near future. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when Alli and I were sitting around and trying to think of something new and causal, Mooney's fit the bill. The casual atmosphere is welcoming/typical sports bar ambiance.
The only thing we didn't like was the waitress gave us to-go boxes while we were still eating.
Their mac and cheese is amazing and they have lots of different options available. The rest of the food is good as well and the bartenders are friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere to sit down with the family or have a seat at the bar and enjoy some drinks.
Delicious food, tons of Mac and cheese options. The only drawbacks are the deafeningly loud atmosphere and the long wait times. I would definitely recommend it to friends looking for a sports bar with great food!
A small group of us from work went on lunch. We did not expect it, but the place was packed. I don't know who was working the bar or kitchen but there were only 2 people on the floor. They both took care of us in a timely manner and were very nice. The food didn't take long and it was on point. I find that hard to accomplish during these times. I've always known Mooney's to be good but this location. They've got it.
Classic Buffalo bar, fantastic for visitors, or a family dinner. They have a good-sized bar and plenty of table and booth seating. Great spot to watch a game.
They have an extensive menu with some absolute gems. The lobster Mac and cheese is unbelievable....actually any of the mac and cheese dishes are killer. Great burgers, wings, you name it, they have all the Buffalo staples.
First time here for fish fry. It was great. Been here before and food is really good. We had a great waitress and have to be honest I thought she was going to mess the whole order up because she took our table of 4 order which we all ordered different food and drinks and didn't write anything down. I'm like something coming out messed up. Guess what everything came out perfect. So I tipped accordingly because I was impressed. Mooneys you Rock.
We order takeout from here about once a month. Usually get a double finger in a whole basic mac and cheese. It's fantastic! He's our family of three with a growing preteen boy, usually with a little left over. If you haven't had their mac and cheese definitely do so. I compare just about all mac and cheese to theirs.
The original mac and cheese and french onion soup were both amazing. Our server was excellent and everything was presented wonderfully.
