Visited this store yesterday last night I ordered 2 salads, usually they always warmed up the tortilla in from of you but this time it was already on the plate when I came, I asked the person who was making my order if the tortilla was fresh and he said it was with a rush attitude , but totally not because what I got was a stale tortilla and burned from one side I couldn’t eat it 👎totally disappointed I really like this place.
The staff member Jennifer made my entire experience amazing! I was unsure of what I wanted but she informed me about the whole menu and was patient while I asked questions. I got the pollo asado and it was a great recommendation! Definitely my favorite location 10/10

I will always pick this over chipotle. The salad with creamy ranch is addictive. Their salsa is fresh and their tortillas are made in house right in front of you. Try all the different sauces and dishes.

"The Salad" is my favorite, especially with steak. It's huge, with chopped romaine lettuce, Pico, rice & black beans, guacamole & cilantro. It also includes a tortilla made fresh in the store , along with their house dressing. Delicious!! ♥️
Love this place! Our favorite Mexican fast service restaurant! I had the 2 Enchiladas (One Shredded Chicken & the other Sweet Pork) and those two meats are my personal favorites. We really miss our Newport News location & whenever we are in the area we always stop in on our way home for dinner. The Salad is awesome too. And the Nachos are great as well.Definitely try this place. We like it better than Chipotle. (And we like Chipotle too) but Cafe Rio is 10x better.

It was a wonderful experience savouring the Mexican dish, Pollo Asado, in a niche restaurant as Cafe Rio.
Hot fresh food delivered quickly. The enchiladas and tacos were great. I had never had tres leche, so the very nice manager gave me and my friend a sample. It was so delicious. Will definitely return.
