Did dinner one evening after attending Scarborough Fair in Waxahachie.
The food is pretty good - at least 3.5+. What is interesting, and makes it higher for me, is that they have reasonably priced appetizers for single diners. It can be so annoying ordering an expensive appetizer portioned for 6 or 8 when you are by yourself. You just know you won't be getting to the entree you ordered. These guys fixed that problem with great appetizers and soups in reasonable sizes for one - and at reasonable prices.
We ordered an egg roll, vegetable tempora, and hot & soup soup.
We ordered Asian Pecan Chicken and Schezuan Beef entrees. Also selected sides of white and fried rice.
Each item ordered was well prepared and tasty.
Service was excellent and attentive.
The atmosphere is strip mall casual.
The sushi was ok, on the bland side but delicious when dipped in the sauce from the General chicken. The entree was great, the fried rice wasnt the best Ive ever had but still good. The customer service was excellent and the place seemed very clean
There are a number of Taste of Asia's around Tarrant County. This one is better than most in both service and food. From the moment I entered, I was immediately seated and cheerfully given a menu and asked what my beverage preference would be. My server returned within a minute with my drink and asked if I was ready to order. I wasn't ready, so she gave me a few extra minutes. There is no buffet at Taste of Asia, and their menu is quite large which is surprising for a restaurant of this size. Besides the usual Asian plates they also offer sushi rolls.
I decided on the General Tso's Chicken lunch special which came with steamed rice and an egg roll. Fried rice or brown rice substitution is 50 cents extra. I did not have to wait long until my lunch arrived. It was plated very nicely, and was a good size for lunch. The General Tso's chicken had a sweet sauce in line with the normal recipe, but this version actually had a little kick spice-wise. It seems to me at most places you can't tell the difference between this, the sesame chicken and the orange chicken except that the sesame chicken is covered in the seeds. Flavor is normally all alike. The flavor here, at least with the G.T. chicken was superb. The steamed rice was a perfect portion. I usually never have enough rice. This was a nice change. The rice was the sticky steamed kind.
The only misstep was the egg roll which probably was cooked with so many other egg rolls, the oil temperature dropped and resulted in them being soaked in oil. Also there was no hot mustard to be found. Their iced tea was phenomenal. If you love tea as much as I do you will like theirs. It has an actual strong tea flavor and is not watered down.
Service continued to be great throughout the meal. My drink was replenished a couple of times and the check and fortune cookie were brought timely. So all in all I was quite pleased with this Taste of Asia.
Service great, food always hot and fresh, large servings you won't leave hungry.
Pad Thie beef was very tasty and egg roles excellent.
Easily the best in town and NOT a buffet.
The hot and sour soup was really good, and agedashi tofu was tasty. The chirashi was absolutely horrible, unfortunately the fish was lukewarm and not fresh, and shrimp dried out and rubbery, although the rice was good
We love it! Best around! Great food and fast delivery!
We eat here often and it's always good and hot. They are always consistent which l like. They have always been nice and very friendly. It's very clean and I like it NOT being a buffet.
I like this place. It's clean and the staff is friendly. I like that they deliver. Unfortunately, they dont deliver to my neck of the woods...
Order all the time!. It is Burleson & there's not a ton of choices for good Chinese. Taste of Asia is a chain but it's by far the best in town. Love that they deliver! Sometimes they have a lady answer the phone who hardly speaks English (reminds me of the Dude Where's My Car, when they argued with the speaker) anyways...as long as they understand you, they are very nice, punctual. I prefer delivery to eating in dining room as food can be slower. We do love this place though & eat their every week.
Love it here!. This is the best Asian food in Burleson. Stay away from the buffets.....go see Willie at Taste of Asia..the best chicken fried rice ever.....
Great Chinese!. Always ate at the one on Bryant Irvin and was so happy when they opened one in Burleson. Friendly, helpful staff. We have had everything on the menu. Try the green tea ice cream!
I drive way out of my way for this place. We live quite a ways away and can usually only manage to dine here once every couple of months. Every dinner has been perfectly done, portions are generous. Service is very good.
Love it. I love sushi. And Taste of Asia has the best Sushi in Burleson that I have found. The portions are large and artfully prepared. Be mindful, this is not a buffet. This is a great Asian restaurant that has great service and great food. I have been over 10 times and have never been disappointed at all.
Best in Burleson. Waited a long time for a decent Asian place in town.
Wonderful!! Best there is!!!. My family and I eat at Taste of China at least twice a week and very often even more! We eat lunch, dinner, snacks, just whatever! The people who work there are VERY friendly and aim to please! If you have any problems, just ask for Willie Bob - he's fantabulous! Their food is good and I've never had anything there that is not good. Now, I will say that I don't eat sushi, but I have friends and family who do and they say that Taste of Asia has GREAT sushi! The reviewer who said it's not good and expensive and that the staff lied and didn't tell her there were mushrooms in the dish - well, something crazy happened to the food, the staff DID NOT lie as the dishes are designed for one person and the staff is NOT psychic to read your mind and know how big your appetite is, AND did you ask if there were mushrooms???? If I could afford to eat out every nite, it would be at Taste of Asia at least 90% of the time!
Love it. I was so excited to see Taste of Asia come to Burleson. I have been a fan of this restaurant's other locations, and I have to say this one is just as good. My personal favorite: green tea, miso soup, Asian Pecan Chicken (I'd guess the staff would know who I am just from that order.. LOL). This is one of my favorite places to chill out with a book or my laptop on a Sunday afternoon for a great meal. Matter of fact, take away lunch today is Chicken Fried Rice :)
Great Food. This restaurant does have really good food. Yes, the portions are a bit big but it also depends on how hungry you really are. To the first reviewer, I have shared a dinner plate with another person before because we weren't that hungry but my other friend finished a whole plate by himself. I'm pretty sure the person who took your order doesn't know how hungry you are. It's not like she's psychic. But anyway, the food is great, the servers are great, and it's just a great atmosphere.
