Hit and miss. Sometimes really good, other times feels like everything is smothered in butter - which in the case of their signature gnocchi is by design. Chicken Parm just like your mom used to make. Just went again for Valentine's day. I'd stick with four stars. Everything was good but not amazing. We enjoyed the filet and it was cooked correctly. Deserts were good but not spectacular.

Excellent food from appetizer to dessert! The service was exceptional. I went there for a private party for work. The room was private but also had plenty of windows so it didn't feel like a cave. The service was great and the food arrived just as we were finished with the previous course but not too early - I didn't feel rushed. The gnocchi was to die for and the eggplant parmesan was notable for its excellent tomato sauce as it was simple but flavorful. All around, a great experience and I'll definitely go back.

I don't get some of these reviews complaining about the price of the food or what they perceive to be poor service. If I had to guess, it's probably the competition. Stella features Northern Italian Cuisine (Chef Matteo is from Italy!) with the best ingredients, it's not a chain restaurant (like that place that rhymes with Schmolive Garden) so yeah, the prices will be a bit higher. Also, has anyone noticed that 90% of the restaurants out there are still understaffed because of the Pandemic? Please give these local restaurants a break until they can operate with a full staff. The owner and staff are fabulous. The outside dining parklet and restaurant areas are lovely, as is the interior dining area. You can even book event space for a group dinner. The wine selection is superior to other restaurants and the food is delicious. My faves are: insalata stella, truffle gnocchi, lasagne, osso buco. If you're a frugal diner you should plan on going here for a special meal and budget appropriately. The ambience, food and location can't be beat.

Stella Alpina has consistently great Italian food and great service. If you're looking for a great wine to try, try the Turley. The truffle gnocchi, the spaghetti and meatballs, the veal parm and the lasagna were all a big hit with my family. You should definitely go!

Family friendly Resaurant — they hv high chairs. Visited on a weekend for a birthday dinner around 5:30pm. There was already a big party and the tables were filling up as it got closer to 6-7. The Place is cozy and the staff is friendly. It gets rather noisy & warm as it fills up. Food was served pretty quick. It’s Good Italian food. Nothing spectacular but comforting. Truffle gnocchi was delicious but the side of mushrooms need improvement. It was bitter and maybe not so fresh? My niece who loves mushrooms took one bite and stopped. Sweet touch on offering us a complimentary berry sorbet to the birthday boy. It was fantastic.

This is one of my top 5 restaurants in the entire US. The truffle gnocchi is incredible, portion sizes are fantastic, and the neighborhood provides a perfect ambience.

Pretty yummy. I didn't take pictures. My date and I polished off a bottle of Italian wine. The gnocchi was outstanding.
