Reviews Pig And Grits

We had a wonderful breakfast experience. The sweet tea was delicious and smooth. Chicken and biscuits with sausage gravy and eggs couldn’t have started the day off any better. Their grits are on point and I suggest you get them if you enjoy grits. The waffle was light and fluffy. It does have a sugar coating to it which caught us by surprise but still tasty. More like a dessert than a breakfast meal. The staff was attentive and just as sweet as their tea. We were greeted with warm smiles and they were able to help Dizzy decide between the chicken and biscuits or waffles. She can be indecisive at times. Please check them out! I’m sure we will be back to try other items when we visit in the future.

I was hoping for bbq for breakfast (weird, I know), but alas. Nevertheless, the friendly service and modern atmosphere made my breakfast enjoyable.

Absolutely delicious! Best fried Catfish I've probably ever had. Came here for dinner after a long road trip and it fully satisfied my craving for delicious food. Fried green tomatoes with the sauce they give were excellent. It was actually so good for dinner, we went back the next day for breakfast. The chicken and waffles was amazing and the cinnamon rolls they give you were probably one of the best I've had also. Definitely a must try and will be back next time we are in the area! Staff was also great and very patient as it was super busy!

We stopped here on our vacation, and if we could have one of these closer to us we would be regulars. Not only was the food AMAZING, the best BBQ we have ever had, Judy, our server, made our experience even better. She is the epitome of "Southern Hospitality." Super clean, friendly and delicious!!

Very good, reasonable price for excellent food. The service was attentive without hovering and the portion sizes are satisfying. Also, the sauces are fantastic. I very much recommend this as a must have food stop! Edit: I'm going to have to edit this review and say that apparently the dine-in is fantastic but the takeout, especially online orders, might be atrociously slow considering I just had to wait half an hour for my order past the said time that it should be expected to be ready. Definitely a massive drop of the ball so I'm going to take it from five stars to three stars until I see if this improves. Update: They dropped the ball on their takeout side quite a few times again, but I found out the owners have hired a manager fix the exact purpose of fixing the online and takeout service. So I'm giving them back up to a four star for serious effort to improve.

It is very rare that I come across a restaurant that I can see no room for improvement. Pig & Grits is simply on point! The staff, the food, the ambiance...... All are simply amazing!!!!!

Absolutely fantastic experience everything tasted great including the fresh greens. The wife and I love it and the Meat-a-terian is amazing. Update 11/23 brought my daughter and son in law and they're ready to move back to NC after eating here 😁

We've been here a handful of times and the food and the service has always been GREAT. Drinks are refilled quickly and the food is brought out to the table quickly. My only issue is that my husband ordered the loaded Mac and cheese kettle with brisket... the description on the menu says it comes with your choice of brisket, chicken or pulled pork, and the cost is $10.50. However, on our bill there was a $3 charge for the brisket that's not indicated anywhere on the menu. We paid it, and the food was delicious, but it seems they're not entirely honest about their pricing.

We've only been here for breakfast a few times, but it's been a fantastic experience every time. The waitstaff are very friendly and the options are great. The cost isn't so high that I can't justify a couple trips in a week when we're out that way. They start by bringing a warm cinnamon roll to your table(!!!), which is a really great treat to have when you're starting your morning coffee (which is better than I'm used to getting when I'm out for breakfast, bravo!). I'm a traditional breakfast kinda guy, so all you really need is hashbrowns (not home fries) and the ability to cook eggs as requested to satisfy me. The kiddos always want something smothered in sugar, and I can say that the french toast is on point. I added biscuits and gravy to my meal on my last visit and I'm glad I did. Hands down the best gravy I've had anywhere (far and away better than all the chains). I mean, MY gravy is still a bit better, but this is close. Genuinely can't wait to go back.

Can’t believe we have lived here over a year and didn’t come here. What time well we have wasted! The pork belly appetizer was divine. The sauces are incredibly tasty. The Mac and cheese is creamy and the banana pudding seals the deal! A must eat if you’re in Burnsville!

Always get good service, my favorite time to go is breakfast! I live their breakfast dishes! Update! I’m not sure if it’s a new item on the menu, but I’m always trying new (to me) stuff! The loaded BBQ fries are absolutely amazing! This really is a must stop and try place to go to. There are a lot of good places out there, but Pig & Grits is definitely my go to for any occasion. Try for yourself, you definitely won’t regret it.

I asked if they could add cheese to the shrimp and grits last friday night. Oh my goodness! 10/10 good. No joke. Even the left overs warmed up were insanely good. Cannot beat this dish!!
