Enjoyed my second meal and fourth experience at the Oyster Rock last night. My first visit here was simply a stop at the boat dock where I enjoyed a refreshing Mojito beside the water as a pitstop on a boating trip. I was so impressed with the friendly service I came back for dinner. The filet was incredible, the mushroom that accompanied it was almost as impressive. I’ve chosen potatoes Au Gratin both times for my side- I’m a steakhouse connoisseur and this side dish is on point with the greats of the Palm and other legends. I dined at the bar both times and the restaurant was busy, so be mindful of a possible wait but I highly recommend this place.
Wow!!! Our family dined here on Sunday evening and it was amazing! The Smokin' Salty Otter Margarita was fantastic and the Trigger Fish was cooked to perfection! Our waiter, Steve, was truly wonderful and on point with everything from the beginning of the meal to the end. I can promise you I'll return.
We loved every single thing about our visit to The Oyster Rock. We ordered the He and She Crab soup, the Peel and Eat Shrimp, coffee ice cream, and blueberry cobbler. Karen was our server. I would recommend requesting her for your next visit. She was so helpful with our menu choices and just an absolute joy.
Absolutely the best oysters ever... fabulous atmosphere..wonderful staff... highly recommend this restaurant

The best food, service, and experience. Hands down the best in Calabash. We will be back again and again!
Todd the manager was a phenomenal host. We reserved enough room for 30 people for a Christmas function and Todd went above and beyond to host us and ensure we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The two weeks prior to our function, Todd would check in periodically and see if there was anything he could do or facilitate for our group. Upon arrival, he came to the table and checked in with us and introduced himself in person. The staff was remarkable. This place earned a 5 star review prior to even tasting any food. The food arrived shortly after ordering and followed suite with the customer service. Over the top. After dinner, we wandered down to the dock at had drinks at The Oyster Pit... The bartender immediately acknowledged us and asked if we were the dinner party for the evening. From start to finish, Todd and his outstanding staff did not disappoint. They made this dinner function truly one to remember!
This was our first time at Oyster Rock. The food was delicious. We had the appy special which was Guacamole with lump crab and shrimp. It was so good! Our tacos were wonderful and had hush puppies that were so tasty! Our server, Jess, did the best job with a huge smile and excellent knowledge of the menu. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the view. We would recommend this spot to everyone who visits the area. ❤️
Everything was absolutely delicious! From the drinks, to the appetizers, to the main dish, to the dessert! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Definitely put this on your list of restaurants to try. Our waitress, Jill, was super sweet and incredibly knowledgeable. A+ experience all around!
A hidden gem on the intercoastal waterway. We came before they opened and glad we did, there was a line out the door by opening. They seated us quickly, love the atmosphere and breeze from the patio with views of the waterway. They have a separate bar area and outdoor fire pit for additional service. My scampi wasn’t the best (lacking in flavor) but both renditions of the swordfish were delicious. They have rotating specials and fresh catch options as well. Highly recommend!
The chilean Seabass was out of this world. I went back two times and almost a third time in a week just to experience the food on this menu. The he/she crab soup was amazing… to be honest was neck and neck with the sea bass. The watermelon salad was so refreshing. The oysters from Connecticut, which were recommended by our server, were superb.
All in all - I can’t wait to go back, worth every Penny I spent! 🤍🤍
Shout all to all the awesome bartenders!
This will be a long one. Let me start by saying, go there hungry. Portions are very nice. If going there ask for Jeff G to be your waiter. Jeff G's care of your dining experience along with his outstanding knowledge of the menu and dinner specials is amazing. This is our first visit and we are already thinking about what we want for our 2nd visit. Tonight we had their 14oz USDA Ribeye Special along with garlic smashed potatoes and an extra side of their vegetable medley... Awesome is all I can say. My wife got the Club Tuna and she said it was off the hook good. I got the You're In A pickle, fried Mt Olive pickles with their homemade ranch dressing. My wife worked on The Hummus Dinger. Both were very good. While waiting for our meal staff will bring you some homemade potato chips covered with Old Bay Seasoning and a shrimp, cream cheese dip with a mousse like consistency. I can't think of enough nice things to say just that it was a house run, A+ what ever you want to call it. We will see you again soon. Give this a review a like if you find it helpful. Check out the pictures of the menu and out side of the establishment.
This is a special place! High-end everything...vibe, food, alcohol, waitstaff, it's all top-notch. One of the finest restaurants I've been to in a long time.
Fresh, fresh, fresh seafood. Wonderful view of water. Our server, Jess, is a pro. We arrived for our reservation and Jess had the table set up along with a bottle of champagne chilling on the table (we pre-ordered that).
You really should try this place!
PS: they have a satellite bar down by the water. You can go there without reservation and get drinks and apps as you sit by the water.

Pleasant experience
Went here as a special dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Did not realize you really need a reservation if you want a seat without waiting an hour. One look at the menu and we were hard pressed to find something we did not want to try. We are slowly trying seafood and we were told this place has the best seafood around. We got the bang bang shrimp (on special) and the tuna lagoons for appetizers. They were fantastic, flavorful, and just enough to not spoil dinner. My wife got chicken and the deep blue sea. I got the grouper, blackened. Both dishes were awesome. The atmosphere is laid back and the wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The outdoor seating overlooks the waterway. There are docks so you can pull up in your boat if space is available. Overall great place to eat, we will be back.
Date night with the hubby. First time trying it out. Fish was so fresh & tender, server was super attentive, didn’t have to wait long & even got to eat outdoors in November 😍 Neat outdoor bar & fire pit area as well to chill with a cocktail.
Great meal and drinks! Had the oyster special that was a play on oysters Rockefeller, bang bang shrimp and the crab dip. Had an espresso martini and all was amazing. Took a star off for service because the bartender seems to be easily distracted and kept forgetting our waters.
