Live in Dalton and this place is more than worth the drive to Calhoun. Great food and dessert. Soups are delicious as well. Very friendly staff and service!

The only place I’ll go to eat a sandwich. My favorite is the BLT on white bread and the Chicken Salad on white! Gotta have the potato salad every time. Awesome soup and salads too.
Good food, menu is varied, desserts are great. I'll definitely eat here again when I'm passing through.

Best French dip in town!! We always have great service whether dining in or carry out. The soups are delicious and the portions are huge!!

Really enjoyed my lunch here! Went during the lunch and was seated quickly and hot fast service. The menu had some creative options and some staples as well. I had the Philly cheesesteak soul and the manhatten sandwich. Both very terrific. The macaroni salad was delicious as well. Would definitely recommend stopping in for a lunch.
Are there a few months back and it was fabulous! Had the salad trio and pie and of course red velvet cake! Service and food was terrific! Going again Tuesday
Only been a few times but food has been very good. Do a good job with upgraded version of the standard turkey sandwich. Has been quite busy each time and the desserts look very good as well. Will go again in the future. Good variety and specials.

A Real Gem in Calhoun!. Historically, Calhoun has been a wasteland of chain restaurants. Christian and Jake's totally bucks that trend!
Good stuff:
* As a vegetarian, I really appreciated their very extensive vegetarian selection (around 15 menu items).
* I had a reuben (with veggie meat), and HOLY COW. Overflowing with a perfectly balanced mixture of sauerkraut, cheese, and veggie corned beef, it's probably the best reuben I've ever had.
* The vibe retro cafe vibe is cool and fitting.
* Their dessert selection rocks. My party and I shared a lemon cream cake and a creme brûlée cheesecake, and both were excellent.
Bad stuff:
* My wife ordered a bowl with veggie chicken salad, potato salad, and pimento cheese. While all were excellent, it really needed more than one roll to accompany them. A few slices of bread would be nice.
Bottom line: Christian and Jake's is a real gem. Their extensive menu, cool vibe, and delectable desserts make it a winner. If you're in Calhoun or driving through the area, you've got to check this place out!

All that & a bag of chips!. Say what?!... Peanut Butter Melt (with marshmallow and bacon)!! Christian & Jake have a suh-weet menu with something for everyone! Two kinds of veggie burgers (garden and black bean), a veggie Reuben, vegetarian chicken salad, veggie dogs and a veggie BLT. I would say that the vegan dishes here are comparable to Doomie's Home Cookin' in LA. One of my faves.
The french dip, reubens, clubs & melts are made with Boar's Head premium deli meats & they have a nice selection of aged cheese to choose from as well. The Manhattan (pastrami, corned beef, swiss, slaw and russian dressing on rye) reminds me of a Canter's Deli classic.
They have a revolving door of over 150 different kinds of pies & sum other magical desserts to boot. No shortage of choices here, no siree Bob. *Drooling* The Praline & Cream Pie is seriously the best dessert in the entire history of ever!! The sweets are truly in a league of their own, and the cherry on top.. wait for it.. wait.. free gift certificate drawings every week!!
The portions are cartoonishly generous & the price is right. Not to mention that good ol' fashioned Southern hospitality.. just tickles me pink ;) Sweet as a Georgia peach I tell ya! They knew exactly how to butter my muffin so you can bet yer bottom dollar that I'll be back for the crème de la crème!
Wonderful place!. We stopped here on a road trip between Florida and Missouri - what a treat! Terrific lunch menu, great food, friendly staff and interesting sparkling clean restaurant.
I've tried many sandwiches & salads all where wonderful! Enjoys the coconut cream pie! Downfall is they need a changing table in the bathroom & better customer service & business hours!

Not only do they offer custom sandwiches and salads, but their dessert case is just beautiful. I have to prevent myself from indulging in Devil's Food Cake or Mango Guava Cheesecake every time I visit!
My fave sandwich, by far, is the grilled muenster cheese sandwich with bacon and corned beef (my own custom) . Dip that sucker in the veggie beef soup, and you are on your way to heaven.
Now, let's talk about the staff. The cooks and waitstaff are super pleasant, but the management is downright scary.
Fast, great service and a good sandwich. Would like to try some of the entrees next time.

Love it!. Loved Christian and Jake's Bistro! The food is wonderful and the service was wonderful!! I love love the desserts! Everyone needs give it a try! I especially love the chicken salad and the key lime pie and the lemon cake!!! Made myself hungry, gotta go!!

AMAZING. Recently opened, Christian and Jake's has been a great addition to the restaurants in Calhoun. It's very clean, everyone's friendly and it's just a good atmosphere in there. The menu options are many, they even have vegetarian options. Last time I went I made chose to make my own sandwich, and all I can say is that it's been a while since I've had something that delicately made and with such great taste. The meats are cooked to perfection and taste so much better than any other restaurant with entrees lower than $10.There are also many desserts to choose from and soups that taste like your grandmother was the one cooking it. Needless to say that I am particularly content with the restaurant, as I went twice on one day! I actually saw the same people I saw at lunch at dinner too.. so I'm sure I'm not the only one that's pleased with the service here. I really recommend Christian and Jake's.

These guys run a great little spot to eat. Many nice vegetarian options in addition to numerous meat favorites. Truly awesome and friendly staff. Sometimes there's a wait to get a table at lunch time but worth it for sure!
Really good sandwiches. They aren't shy with the meats by no means. I would suggest if you get a sandwiche that has any kind of dressing, to get it on the side unless you want to bathe in it. So far, that's been our only complaint. My favorite so far(I forget the name but I think it's Alpine or something like that) has ham, onion, cream cheese with ranch powder, cheese & cucumbers on beautiful rye bread. So good! Our 1st time we were talking to the owner a we paid and he told us the story of how C & J came about. Most if not all of what is served(other than the meat) came from his grandmother who owned a (was it a deli or a bistro or a bodega??🤔🤔) in NY. Be sure to try the Robert Redford pie!! The slices is HUGE and contrary to how it looks, it isn't overly rich & sweet.
It is a huge mistake not to eat here if you're in Calhoun! We were passing by and stopped in and got a Reuben and a Chicken Salad Sandwich (both vegetarian) and it blew my mind. It makes me so happy to see restaurants make a real effort to offer QUALITY vegetarian food! This place is so good, and there are so many options for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike

Wonderful atmosphere and very clean. Love the blue grass music and the food was wonderful. Huge portions you can literally share and sandwich. Will definitely be back!
