When it comes to Italian food, I become very picky because I am half Italian. Actually I’m not. But I say so because I love the Italian cuisine. Giulia has become one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Boston/Cambridge since last weekend. We had chicken liver crostini with green tomato marmellata to start that we enjoyed very much. The liver flavor was mild enough for people who were not fond of it, and also good enough for people who enjoyed its usual pungent flavor. Beautifully married with marmellata. Our next dish, salt roasted beets with spiced labne, sesame and pea greens was delightful. Vegetables were well cooked, not hard, not soft but good enough to enjoy the texture and flavor embedded with delicious sauce. The anolini ‘in brood’ was a hit. I loved generous portion of black truffle and the depth and multiple layers of its flavor. I’m getting this for sure next time! We also had branzino with Macomber, radicchio, lentils and citrus. The branzino was grilled nicely and it made a perfect harmony with the sauce. Our last course was of course dark chocolate cake with stracciatella gelato and candied orange. Good portion to split between three. And brilliant ending to celebrate me and my friends’ birthdays together.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Cambridge area. Wonderful hospitality, great ambiance, and delicious food with fresh seasonal ingredients and rich flavors featuring both traditional Italian and exotic twists. Their freshly made pasta was wonderful and make sure to leave room for desserts! Come early for walk in or make reservation.

Visiting from Montreal (where we have amazing restaurants), we were thrilled to get reservations @ Giulia’s. We were lucky enough to be seated in Kelly’s section. Kelly was knowledgeable about the entire menu, providing details of the dishes with excellent recommendations. We were four people and enjoyed several different dishes from the menu. All excellent, wonderful ingredients, sublime flavours, prepared perfectly!! Perfect portions, comfortable seating, great ambiance, Sometimes it’s the little things that leave an everlasting impression!! Fresh mint and hot water with a wonderful selection of incredible desserts!!! THANK YOU! Cheers!

Amazing restaurant. As far as seating goes, went right at 5:30pm when they open and they didn’t have any tables, but tons of availability at the bar. Seats didn’t last for long at the bar so you should definitely make a reservation ahead or go right when they open. Waitstaff was super nice and attentive. Drinks were so beautifully made and delicious, not too overpriced either. Got the chicken liver crostini appetizer but ate it too quickly to snap a picture. Very small but tasty dish. They serve good complementary bread, too. For the meal, got the bucatini all’amatriciana. The noodles were incredible, the pancetta added a perfect crunch. Also got the garganelli with mushroom conserva, you have to like mushrooms—but so delicious and creamy and cheesy. Both meals were not heaping portions, but probably what’s considered a more standard portion. I was happy with it because I had room for an app, drinks and dessert. The dessert I got was a seasonal sorbet made with fresh Maine blueberries with some sort of cream and crunch. I’m not entirely sure what was in it, all I know is it was the best dessert I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this entire meal, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Had dinner this past Tuesday at Giulia, a cozy Italian restaurant in Cambridge. For me, the dining experience is equally shaped by the server as well as the food. We had wonderful experiences with both! The restaurant had a warm intimate feel that was made all the more special by our friendly server. The food was excellent. We had excellent starters: nostrale (described as an Italian style spanakopita) semolina cakes with sweet corn and truffles burrata with tomato conserva and frisellel As for pastas, both were very flavorful: paccheri ’alla bolognese’ (with beef, pork, Parmesan ) pappardelle with wild boar SecondI: striped bass ‘en brodetto di coriandolo’ which was good, had a nice char. Lastly, the perfect ending with the chocolate and hazelnut semifreddo with blackberry gelato and aged balsamic. Would definitely recommend !
