During my recent visit to Harvard Square in early December, 2021. I had the opportunity to visit Tattle Bakery for an early breakfast and it was very enjoyable. The place is very charming with indoor and outdoor sitting....and my breakfast sandwich, chocolate croissant and coffee were exceptional!
Tatte was a wonderful experience! You can taste the care for the products and processes in each bite. I would highly recommend to anyone. There is also an extensive gluten-free menu as well.
Huge fan of tatte. Their pastries are usually fresh and flaky and their coffee is great - with the right amount of acidity to it! This location is very busy as it's in Harvard square but service is fast.
Awesome cafe for brunch, coffee, doing work, etc. so much seating space. Pastries are delicious, I enjoyed the food more than the drinks
cardamom latte - flavor was lacking a bit and too sweet.
summer special iced matcha drink - it was good but also a bit too sweet
Shakshuka - delicious and decent portion
Eggs with sun dried tomato and goat cheese - the sourdough bread was amazing! Overall the dish was simple but very well executed
One of my favourite places to study in Harvard Square! Often quite crowded, sometimes resulting in a longer wait time, especially if food was ordered. However, the atmosphere (especially upstairs) is warm and friendly! The foods are reasonably priced too.
My family and I stumbled upon this restaurant while we were visiting Boston at Christmas. Decided to take the train to Harvard to walk around for a bit. We wanted to go to a restaurant that was known for their waffles but when we arrived there at 12pm on Christmas Eve, they were closed. My son was starving so we stopped here. Thank goodness, this place was amazing. I have never been so impressed with the selection of sweet treats and brunch options. We all devoured our meals and couldn't believe how fantastic the food was. My son had the Egg in the Hole which was two fried eggs in the middle of a sesame bagel. I had the Smoked Salmon and Avocado Tartine, and my husband had the Lamb Hash. Everything was unbelievable! I highly recommend this place to any one who is looking for a fantastic meal.

I used to visit the Brookline location every week when I lived in Boston in the early 2000s, so was thrilled when I noticed a larger Tatte in Cambridge near where we're staying on this trip in 2022. Sadly, the new location doesn't exceed my memories. It's no longer a pastry shop, and now more of a restaurant. I'm excited about their success to achieve that, but the layout makes it very echo-y which makes it very loud and hard to hear your own conversations. On this trip we visited twice. Once I ordered a hallumi sandwich with the Tatte Latte iced, the other I ordered a pistachio croissant and oat milk latte hot. The hallumi was a bit bland and the rest of the sandwich was OK, the iced coffee very nice if you fancy something sweet! The pistachio croissant filling was lovely, but the pastry wasn't a croissant in the traditional sense - it's over baked and the pasty has gone hard and stiff, except for where the filling is. The filling is delish and that saved the pastry, but I wouldn't pick it again. The oat milk latte is nice as well, but seems a bit weak (probably because it's a 12oz so has a *lot* of milk compared to what I'm used to in the UK).
4* because the decor looks nice (even if it's very echoey!), the coffee is good by American standards, the staff are friendly and there are plenty of options for different diets.
Love the food at all Tate’s. I like the vibe and energy of Tate’s at Harvard Square, I always stop by every time I m in the area. The place could get very busy during meal time result in long queue. Anyway like the people watching here. Food is good but staff aren’t the most friendly in the business. The price is on the expensive side. I had grilled cheese sandwich it was not just bread and cheese, it has some tomato base sauce to it, nice texture but a bit too salty for my liking. We also ordered Zucchini queech and salad. It taste good but not the typical queech which is eggy and cheesy.
