Iggy's has never faltered in providing the best, organic ingredients in its breads and has always supported local organic producers. Bravo for up-keeping your unwavering quality you offer your clientele. I always bring back loads of bread to Montreal and share with many who just LOVE it. Thank-you!!!

I always enjoyed Iggy’s bread when I bought it at the store. I didn’t realize they have their own little shop over in Cambridge. It’s out of the way, and not super obvious to find, I drove by two or three times before I figured out where the lot was. Call me directionally challenged. Iggy’s sells their bread (obviously), but they also offer a nice selection of baked goods, sandwiches and lunch offerings. Make sure to try their pizza, they have some great topping combinations. I especially love their jam cookies ($2 each) and their linzer cookies ($2 each). They remind me of similar ones that my grandmother used to make. I can’t get enough of them!

Still something of a secret in Boston, the makers of Mike & Patty’s Sandwich Breads retail space located across from a gypsum reclaiming facility on Fawcett Street in Cambridge, Iggy’s Bread of The World features a wide variety of options sold at prices comparable to other local artisans with a whole lot of variety from which to choose.

Truly an artisan bakeshop, oldworld technique meeting all-natural ingredients in the skilled hands of a team led by Igor Ivanovic, Iggy’s originally opened in 1994 before moving to its current location in the old King Arthur Flour warehouse in 1999 and despite having now established a substantial wholesale business the storefront still maintains a mom n’ pop likeness thanks to a smiling staff that appears exceptionally well trained.

Now holding accounts with several hotels, stores and restaurants throughout Massachusetts, but still turning out fresh breads, bagels and pastries for fans willing to stop in, a brief look at the racks and cases provides an almost overwhelming amount of temptation and whether one selects a “mini” or full-sized version of viennoiserie the results are better than most produced at such volume, the Pain au Chocolate piped with a good core within rounds of lamination while the Almond version only fault is that the shell is too soft.

Doing an admirable job with the morning bun, though the larger one would have likely fared better in letting the curl become crisp without drying the center out, both the Bread Pudding and Apricot Brioche were delicious in part due to the fruit but also as a result of the eggy base from which they came from, the Pecan Crescent a “best of the best” bite that reminded me of the Hungarian Nut Horns made by my Grandmother at Christmas, but substituting in even more flavor by way of ground Pecan Flour instead of placing the filling inside of rolled dough.

Staff. I like Iggy's, but everytime I go in there I feel like I am under surveillance. The staff always look so suspicious and scared. Not very friendly at all, not very warm, but overall I like the breads and pastry's.

Underachieving baked goods.. The hard-working bakers here turn out a competent array of breads - all of which look better than they taste. A few are pretty good, some okay, none are great. Your best bets are sourdoughs, water rolls and skinny ficelles. The bagels are distinctive - very tough and chewy - like steamed life buoys. The pastries are dense and coarse, as if made to last long, rough journeys in oxcarts - not much flavor to them. Avoid their dreadful homemade cream cheese and deceptively good-looking pizza. Staff is distinctly and consistently unhappy - like shopkeepers in the old Soviet Union.

Well-crafted artisan bread that’s fresh and flavourful on its own. Honey pecan sticky bun I was surprised a sticky bun can taste so good.  It was flaky with just the right amount of honey.  Not sticky to eat with hand and still gives you that sticky chewiness in the mouth.  The nuts gives a nice crunch to the bun. Great bread and rolls delivered to my door. I so appreciate the quality of their baked goods. The rye bread is exactly like the bread I grew up eating in Germany - it is so authentic. My kids gobble up the baguettes quickly - one of their favorites! It’s always a great day when we open our door and unwrap all the goodness that is Iggy’s. Thank you for keeping us safe during the pandemic - we are grateful!

Best bread in Boston area. My favorite is the sourdough ancient grain. Love to go to their location in Cambridge, but have come to rely on home delivery since they started it during the pandemic. Have to order two days in advance, but it always arrives when scheduled. Iggy’s bread is also available in stores around Boston but it’s usually sliced. I like to buy whole loaves.

We LOVE the iggy’sbread bread delivery service. I have yet to find a better bread shop in the greater Boston area. We love their bagels, breads, and Parmesan toast! The delivery service is easy. It takes me less than 2 minutes each week to log in and order all the fresh bread and bagels for our family of 4.

Iggy's breads are reliably excellent, and I couldn't be happier with their delivery service. The driver went out of their way to protect my bag of goodies while there's construction happening on my house. Support local, and they support you back!
