Unfortunately, all I have are blurry photos and some videos but that is a FANTASTIC sign. Lizard Lounge was great, the local bands and artists that played were extremely talented, something I wouldn’t have expected had I not read other reviews. I ended the night talking to a few of the folks playing and they were down to earth and humble of their work. Although there was only one bartender, he was friendly and worked hard. Loved this little spot.
The Lizard Lounge is one of my favorite all time clubs. The atmosphere is cozy and the music terrific. I especially love the intimacy of the place. On any given night, you're sure to find folks at the top of the Boston music scene!
Cool venue, nice pub style food. Not pretentious or over the top. Great that you can watch some interesting local bands while sat eating. If there was table service as well it would be 5 stars and probably my favourite place ever. Nice for a chilled evening with comfort food
If you're either a visitor or a resident, the Lizard Lounge is a must-see. The restaurant side has everything you can want: great food, large portions (seriously, the chicken nachos will feed a family of 4, easy), a friendly staff, and reasonable prices. The lounge side is cozy and always hosts the best musicians. Bear in mind that the lounge is 21+. The only drawback is that the cover charge can range from $10-$20, which I don't necessarily agree with; however, the music/poetry night is always worth it. If you're looking for a new date night spot, a place to hang with friends, or a new solo adventure, the Lizard Lounge is the perfect place for you.
Talk about intimate. The venue is cozy. You're so close to the band you can hear what they're thinking. Staff is nice. No problem parking. I saw Parlour Bells, and it was great.
Always a good time here. Shows, poetry, solo artists, all great stuff in my experience. First visit was in 2015. Rediscovered it upon moving here in 2018, and am so happy I did.
I'm a big music fan, so when the music is right my mind is right. Went to this spot to check out a drummer friend, stayed for so much more. It was a super funky experience.. words won't do justice. it's worth checking out. I'm going back soon to check out another band by the name of Dub Apocalypse.
The musical part of the venue is in a sub level and may feel a bit claustrophobic for some, but once you order a beverage and begin to absorb the music, you'll be fine. It actually enhances the experience You can almost get close enough for the musicians to sweat on you.. If you're into that stuff (..and who isn't)
On my first trip I got the chance to see 3 bands.. all very good! Think funky, jazzy, Erykah Badu, Parliament. Vocalists were on point and very entertaining.. and the music? FugetAboutit!!
