Small space but amazing food! They serve breakfast all day and their lunch options are delicious! The staff is super friendly and it's right off the main street so you are close to everything, walking distance to the bay!
Edit: we came back 9 months later and it was even better then before!! John Wayne (his real name) was such a character and was a pleasure to talk to. Not only did he make great food recommendations but sent us off on a great adventure for the day! Glad we came back, it's a great place to eat!
A safe bet for a solid breakfast. Somewhat unconventional service style- Once you get a table, you go up to order at the counter, get your own coffee and such, and then someone brings you your food later. Table service lite. Regardless, it was an amazing meal. The interior is broken up into neat little breakfast nooks and the staff seems to all be chipper high schoolers on summer vacation. There's a motorcycle on the wall.
I love this place. My boyfriend and I have come multiple times this year. The buckwheat pancakes and breakfast tacos were gluten free so he could eat them too! The staff is always super friendly too.
Great spot for breakfast. Coffee was good and the skillet was delicious. Everything tasted very fresh.
A very cool joint with great food and coffee. We had the chorizo skillet and the brisket hash.
Loved this place! Wish I had one back in my home town. The atmosphere, to the funny signs, and the yummy breakfast. I like that the tea and coffee were self serve so you could make it how you like it. I even bought a piece of art from a local artist. Great staff!!! Please go here, you won't regret it.
So we ordered 4 breakfast wraps, given the serving sizes at other breakfast/lunch joints in Camden , this seemed reasonable. Y'all...... I was not prepared for the hog leg of deliciousness that awaited me. I am stuffed and barely made it through one. My only thought now is that I wish we gave this place a shot a lot sooner. Dont be like us, get y'all a hog leg now, you'll be glad you did.
I don't just enjoy Boynton McKay I freaking adore it! It might be my favorite breakfast spot on the entire planet!
I was visiting Maine for the first time. I was staying nearby and decided to check this place out, and it was delicious. It has a signature flavor and a signature atmosphere. The service of the employees and chefs were great as well. We came back twice before we had to leave. I would highly suggest trying this spot!
Cute little breakfast and lunch nook. Today was my first time and I will definitely be back! The chocolate chip pancakes are by far the best pancakes in Midcoast. The restaurant was incredibly clean and I loved the art on the wall. Service was A+. Phoebe is absolutely phenomenal, professional, polite, and makes you feel so welcomed.
Awesome bakery and cafe! From their locally sourced ingredients and produce to their homemade baked goods this is a special place for breakfast or lunch or some homemade doughnuts to go!!
Fantastic breakfast. Large portions. Make sure to ask for the house hot sauce. It’s not very hot, but adds a lot of flavor. They have Ruckus donuts, too!
Best breakfast place I've ever had the pleasure to eat at - my husband & I ate there on a cool, rainy morning, but it was an upbeat, cozy vibe inside. It was very busy when we arrived and were weren't sure what their seating process was like, but the staff was very friendly and assured us we'd have a place to sit soon, which we did. My husband is a mushroom forager and was beyond thrilled to see they used actual wild mushrooms in their wild mushroom omelette (which tasted amazing too!) Food was great, coffee was amazing, and the blueberry bacon doughnut was out of this world. Wish we lived closer so we could go visit again - keep up the great work!
Had the biscuits & gravy it was excellent. Plenty of sausage gravy and great biscuits just crunchy enough for texture just soft enough to absorb the gravy without falling apart. The eggs on top cooked perfectly as well, I had sunny side up and yolks oozed without being over cooked and hard. Great atmosphere and just a nice vibe overall, the coffee and mocha latte surprisingly good as well and worth a visit for them alone.
After years of being a Camden Classic, new ownership has taken it to new heights of taste and quality. Some old favorites remain on the breakfast menu, but nearly everything else has changed. Seating is more comfortable and more abundant, the coffee is excellent, and the baked items are the best in town. The menu is a lot of fun, but I never use it. Instead, I prefer to let them serve me whatever they choose!!!
Friendly staff, down to earth vibe, cool Italian-inspired decor. No-nonsense, but great food at a good price.
