Great spot to have a cheesesteak. It's not a traditional take since it's on a poppy seed bun but it's so delicious! I loved the spicy pepper mix and loaded up my sandwich with it. The spicy pickle and stuffed cherry pepper were also great additions. Couldn't ask for more!

Great cheesesteak, even in western Canada Donkey’s Place’s reputation is known. It did not disappoint. The sandwiches are huge so come prepared. Best eaten fresh in the restaurant as they will get soggy if they sit in the bag too long. If I lived anywhere close I would certainly come back.

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the sliced meat was a bit hard to eat - you really have to bite through and it slides out of the bun.
Top 3, possibly best, steak of my life. The owner took care of us, very friendly guy, pours a great Guinness, and made us up the special ketchup/oil mix for our fries. Great experience and I left completely stuffed and happy.
Great little place tucked in the city. When you make one thing delicious you build the menu around that. The cheesesteak on a round roll was a game changer for us long roll enthusiast. Very tasty, the carmelized onions made the dish. Wings were amazing but not on the menu daily. We got lucky. Thanks
So often you hear so much hype about a place to eat that it’s hard to live up to the reputation. Donkey’s Place did not disappoint. Anthony Bourdain and The Goldbergs got it right! The Best Cheesesteak in the Philly area is in Camden NJ!!!
