Hubs & I tried this place on a whim. We've been to Jamaica together a few times, so we were absolutely thrilled to find a place like this so close by to us! They had my favorite soda of all time (Ting), and the [I believe] owner asked if we'd ever had oxtail (we hadn't!) and she let us try some. It was SO GOOD that I ordered it for my meal, and my husband got the jerk chicken plate. The rice & peas (which, for my southern friends, was essentially red beans & rice) were so good, and the plantains were the star of the meal. My husband's jerk chicken was also fantastic and just the right amount of spicy. I loved it all, and for just a few minutes, hubs & I were back in Jamaica. Really wonderful little place, and I'm so excited to return to this local spot.
Highly recommend the Jamaican chicken plate. It was sooo good. Very well seasoned and the chicken was juicy and fall off the bone. The rice and sweet plantains are a must too! I will be back for sure. Oh and the lady running the place was absolutely lovely and so helpful.
GREAT PLACE! I get the ox tails and goat meat and it is awesome!!! Love the flavor and they give good portions too please support them you WILL NOT be disappointed! See you there.....
Great combination of the BSL menu from the past with a mix of Jamaican fare. My food was delicious. Small town Cafe feel with a friendly staff.
Amazing little spot we discovered while in the area on business. Saw the older menu online and went in for the renowned burger plates but were pleasantly surprised to find a new eclectic menu featuring favorites from days gone by PLUS several Jamaican dishes. Had the curry chicken with fried plantains and it was amazing!
Can't say enough about this place. The owner came out and personally greeted us to see if we were enjoying her cooking. Great food, great music, even imported Jamaican sodas... In Camden, SC?

We accidentally ended up here just looking for a burger and fries. This *ANGEL* brings us sample bowls instead, and BAM! We're hooked! Jerk chicken and curry chicken with rice 'n beans, and plantains. Oh.My.Gah. THE best accident I've ever had! Staff are all so super sweet and family-friendly. Only wish I lived closer so I could work my way through their menu!!!!
An absolute delight! Young girls waited our table were so very polite and helpful! Grandma who cooked made excellent food. Our first visit, but not our last!
