This is real pizza & real people. I read the other reviews for this restaurant and I agree with the first 2, but. I have to vigorously disagree with the poster who said they were "frauds" and his complaints about the crust, the sauce , the cheese etc and at the same time went on and on about their supposed experience. Tommy and his sister & their dad do hail from Brooklyn from the heart of Little Italy. I've eaten there 5 times since they took over this pizzeria a few months ago and I used to go to his restaurant over in Fort Myers. Twice I've had pies, and the other 3 times Tom has made me a calzone with pepperoni, both olives, banana peppers, mozzarella, and onion..it was to die for, the crust ~ the right amount of crisp to chewy and it was so very tasty. I know that Tom makes his dough on premise, hand stretches each pie, makes his meatballs, his sauce, his dessert using his family's recipes. In an age of homogeneous chain restaurants where more and more items of the menu are pre-made and shipped in, its refreshing to find people who love pizza, who care about putting out a good pie and have the personality that brings you back... Eat in is a cozy feel, with New York emblazoned and enshrined on the walls, and Sicily the ancestral home of this family enshrined on the other. It's not fancy, its sure has the feel of those hole in the wall pizza places that adorn New York, except you find it in Cape Coral on the South Florida Gulf Coast. I love it, they make you feel like family. Come hungry because when you leave you will be full and happy. I love to find a great small local owned business in this age of the chain, its the local taste and flavor you can't package that. Its still part of the American dream: Cook it and they will come.
Best Pizza Ever!. Salvatore's (formerly on College Parkway in Fort Myers) has the most authentic Brooklyn style pizza south of New York! Light, flaky crust made by hand every day, superior sauce and perfect amount of cheese takes me back to the quality pizza I remember growing up in the northeast. Don't miss out on the best pizza in SWFL!!
They're Back. Salvatore's Pizzeria is back, recently moved to this new location in Cape Coral. Still the best pizza in SW Florida. Perfect crust, sauce and cheese. The specialty pies, especially "The Signature" with gorgonzola, mozzarella,escarole, garlic, and peppers and the Margherita , which Tom makes with marinated tomatoes, fresh basil, and olive oil, are my favorites. I'm a pizzaphile from NY, and this is most authentic pie in the area.
The food here tastes like home. I love this place. The spinach roll and the margarita pizza is as close to Brooklyn pizza i have tasted this side of Florida. The owners Tom and Jo are so friendly, they make you feel like family when you are there. I enjoy my meals at Salvatore's Pizza... Oh and the cannolis!!!! Delicious!
Best pizza I've had since I moved out of the Philadelphia area. Anyone who knows what authentic New York style pizza is will love the pizza from this place.
Great pizza, friendly service, reasonable prices.
BTW, their cannoli is outstanding. Perhaps even better than Termini's in South Philly.
Being a New Yorker, I was on a mission to find the best NY pizza in the Cape. After so failed at 4 other so called NY pizza parlors , I found Salvatore's on Pine island 3rd next to Mel's. My search is over! Truly the best NY style pizza in Cape Coral!#
Decided to try this place today! I usually don't expect much down here,being from Long Island Ny. But this is hands down the best pizza we have had since I moved here in 2009. Definitely my new pizza place! Only my fellow NY people truly understand what this means!
Great price for non chain food pizza. People were polite,service was great. Said 1hr 15 min and was here in less time. Pizza was excellent! Hope this place stays in business!
Ordered white pizza, garlic rolls, calzone. Food was amazing- tasted like traditional New York style pizza and service was wonderful! Will be coming more often.
Tried new place ...surprise! surprise!....... delicious food and 20 mins earlier then time given.

Very good pizza I think is the best around here, Sicilian pizza as good as the Italian one, said by an Italian like me ! The place is a little small but the pizza is the number 1 !

Hands down best pizza we've had since moving here in Feb. We ordered pep pizza, wings, and garlic rolls. Awesome food and service!
First Timers: We order 3 totally different pizzas for the office and all of them were exceptional....our new favorite.
