Great little breakfast spot in capitola!! Love the small quaint homey cozy feel. Only a handful of tables but the wait isn't that bad! The staff and food is awesome!! Love their homemade chili sauce... didn't have sriracha but opt for the sauce and it was as good as it gets!! Feels like you're having breakfast at your friends house.... that type of vibe! Had their two stacks with sausage & eggs over easy... wanted a small portion of just one of each.. or maybe order from the kids menu next time. The special of the day was perfection (breakfast quesadilla w/bacon) the homemade chili sauce added more flare and flavor.. it was delicious!! Overall.. love the experience, food, service was exceptional! Walking distance from the main busy spot.. and right across the street from the police Dept. I'll be back again next time!!
Such a cute place with amazing service. Such a great place to grab some brunch and enjoy a mimosa
An awesome breakfast with even better service!! Carnitas Eggs Benedict and Chorizo omelette and Chorizo Eggs Benedict are amazing!!
Hands down my favorite breakfast spot in the Capitola Village. Great food, decent prices, amazing vibes. I just wish it was a little bigger so waiting times weren’t so long on busy days! ❤️
GREAT place to eat. Friendly staff, INCREDIBLE Chicken Fried Steak. It's a small cafe, and waits may be a little long at times, but it's WELL worth it.
This place is quaint, has a friendly staff and the best breakfasts!
Great brunch and mimosas. Great service, too! Highly recommend when you're in town. Small place but worth the wait if you have to. We didn't; got a table right away.
I love this place! I come every opportunity that I have and love bringing new friends to share this gem!
Mini weekend getaway, started with a delicious breakfast...and a little salsa music. Great service, food and atmosphere. Between the Chorizo and Eggs, Eggs Benedict with Avocado, Pancakes, and freshly squeezed Orange Juice...Breakfast Delight!
The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were wonderful!
Will be back again!

I had a club sandwich and it was delicious. Really nice and quaint cafe!
2nd time we come to Ave, and again it did not fail us! Love the area, love the service, and the food amazing! If ever in the Santa Cruz area you have to come have breakfast at Ave.
I had the Southern Style Benedict and it was very good. Friendly staff as well. I'll be back.
We love Sal's place. The food is always fresh and delicious! His homemade salsa is the bomb. Hash browns are my fav.
Always excellent coming to Avenue Cafe. Everyone is all so nice and we like the fact it's a little down the road from the Tourist area :) Oh the Potatoes are to die for!
Went there today (Thanksgiving morning) and the coffee smell alone was so very good, that packaged along with a perfect avocado Benedict I had the best of breakfasts in a while. I want to go back and try the burgers next. The crew there were extremely friendly and totally on the coffee refill ball. The place itself was very beautiful and cozy.
Can always count on a bomb-diggity Benedict & excellent service from Olaf & Roberto. They are always there to deliver & I’ve never received less than delicious.I work close by, and the service is timely. Thank you! The photo I attached is the Florentine Benedict. - Alexandra (Ali)
Avenue cafe was delicious and fast. We got the breakfast burrito and breakfast quesadilla, both were incredible. We were in and out in 30 minutes.
Support local!
Super friendly service, very good food. Well will be back for more.
Good selection of eggs Benedict. I had a smoked salmon and avocado. I really enjoyed it.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was good not great. Opted for the Capitola Chaos. Girlfriend had the Chorizo Benedict. Mine's needed seasoning. She loved hers. Fast service. Didn't wait terribly long to be seated. Prices were decent. Would go back.
Cute little place for breakfast/lunch in Capitola. The carnitas is really good! I preferred the home style potatoes to the hash browns, but both were good.
Small place in a corner by Capitola beach. Staff is really friendly. Sitting is inside or outside. Food is good.if you go between 10-12. Is the busiest time and you might have to wait a little for sited and food. I only saw 1 waitress, the cashier and 2 busboys so can be a wait for RF of coffee and drinks is understandable with small staff I was there in a Saturday before mother's day so kind of busy. Feel free to ask staff if you need anything they are nice about it. Price is reasonable not expensive. I will definitely be back to try more food.
