Everything about our visit to Mucky Duck turned out great. They have a great location with a marvelous view of the Gulf of Mexico and serve up great meals that the whole family loved. Their crunchy grouper sandwich and seafood pastas from the Specials Board today were excellent. We were concerned when we pulled in about finding parking, but there was an attendant whose job was to keep the non-customers from using their lot and showed me a place I could park that I would have assumed was too small because it was on the end. Parking border the beach itself, so without the attendant, beachgoers may try parking here. My car fit, so we parked and went in. The inside was small too but we got a table without waiting. We ordered and were served by a friendly and efficient waitress. She checked in with us frequently as we dined and kept our drinks filled. A tip for those who visit that are taller than 6'2 or so - Watch Your Head while walking through the place, many ceilings are very low for tall folk! Also, check out the place's history by looking at the walls, ceiling and menu, and find the reason some call it the Lucky Duck. It's a remarkable story. We plan to return to Mucky Duck. It seems to be the type of place where everything on the menu is really good.

Great location right on the beach that you can watch the sunset. Plan on getting there a little early to secure the best seat! We have had appetizers and meals and they are always good. Service was great our most recent trip- Cody was super friendly and kept making sure we were taken care of.

Great little place located right on the beach. Food was decent, nothing spectacular. Prices were more than fair. Our order came out incorrectly, we ask for no cheese on the Shrimp Tacos. Server apologized and put a new order in. We sat outside and the view of the beach was spectacular.

Place is beautiful and atmosphere is great. The food is basic. We tasted the clam showder that was not the best we had. But the place is relly nice.

The food was good. We had oysters Rockefeller and the captiva sandwich. Rum punch was also good. Great view of the beach and the water. Our waiter was very attentive. Bathroom was clean.

The food was tasty, and the beach view was the bomb. Had calamari and bay shrimp that both tasted so fresh, like it was just picked from the ocean and flash fried for me.

So excited to finally try the Mucky Duck after being an island visitor for many summers. Service was friendly and well coordinated. The food was good - especially the oysters Rockefeller! Salmon en Croute, Chicken Piccata & Fish and Chips were also enjoyed by our group. Don’t forget a prince of mud pie for dessert☀️

We went to Mucky Duck for a late lunch on Mother’s Day. They said it would be an hour wait, which we were fine with… it was Mother’s Day after all! Boy were we surprised, 30 mins! That was our wait time! We had time to use the potty and get settled in the lawn chairs they provided to soak in the amazing view and our name was called. We were shocked and thrilled! We ordered oysters, see pics, they were super fresh and chilled perfectly! Super yummy! Both my 8 year old daughter and mother tried them for the first time ever and loved the oysters too! We all pretty much ordered the fish and chips which was also cooked good and super yummy. The coleslaw was out of this world as I don’t like it too drenched in mayonnaise. The tarter sauce had a great dill flavor too. But what made the experience is what Mucky Duck is known for… that view! It’s so wonderful that Mucky Duck had next to zero damage and it was great to get back on the island and soak it in post Ian! We will be back!

Restaurant is in the best spot to catch the beautiful beach sunset! They have both indoor and outdoor dining. Staff were super friendly. Food was good and their rum punch is pretty tasty! Parking can be tough as their parking lot fills up but they do offer a parking attendant that offers assistance. Definitely add this to your dining spots if you are in the area!

A Captiva icon! I’ve been eating/drinking here since the early 1980’s. So glad they were mostly spared by hurricane Ian. Excellent Crunchy Grouper Sandwich, although a little pricey at $27. Mucky Duck Red Lager is refreshing with just a smidgen of bitterness. Service ok, but I observed servers on the patio coming out and going to one table in their section, then going back inside without even glancing to see if their other tables need something. Very inefficient. You really have to watch for and wave the servers down. Extensive and fairly priced beverage menu. There are few Adirondack chairs on the beach where you can relax while waiting for your table when they are busy, grab drinks from the bar inside and get yourself on “island time” before your meal. Very friendly parking lot attendant helps take the stress out of finding a spot. Highly recommend!

Love the Mucky Duck! Apparently God does too since it was spared from Hurricane Ian's wrath! To be local and have places like this to enjoy is priceless. We are spoiled!

A quirky English-style pub with a fantastic array of options has probably been our favorite spot to eat during our first trip to Captiva! With each visit, we’ve tried something new and never been disappointed yet. Personally, their Super Chili Dog was my favorite - probably one of the best I’ve ever had and that’s saying something. Literally on the western shoreline of Captiva with an unfettered view of the gorgeous Gulf Coast sunsets. A diamond in the currently (understandably) rough state of the island options post Hurricane Ian.

It’s so nice to be back at the Mucky Duck, post hurricane. Our relationship goes back to 1980. It’s a fun place to eat , food is very good and the beautiful beach is footsteps away .

Really cool location and dining options. Free parking onsite and the outdoor space was really nice overlooking the water. The food was great.
