Love, Love, Love them! My previous relationship consisted of many many special dates here, multiple times a year, and West would hit it out of the park every single time. Staff is amazing, attentive, warm, and informative. Quality of all different items we've had were exquisite and very consistent.

Who goes to a steak house and orders a burger🍔? I DO! 🍽 Went here with the family and enjoyed it. It may not be the place to go if you're on a budget to get more food for less similar to a buffet. The food and customer service was good, I would go back whenever I'm in town. 📣I don't remember the exact dress code restrictions but they do have some so I would call before going to be sure.

West's service was phenominal, I made a mistake in ordering and didn't notice the salad had Blu cheese on it until it came... I cannot eat Blu cheese. Not missing a beat they offered to remake the salad with what ever dressing I wanted. Had the new yoirk strip wow... And I am really picky with my steaks.
Decently large wine selection and full bar. And though I was too full to have desert I did get some carrot cake to take home... Though I fully expect the wife to find it for her breakfast. Lol!
Would highly recommend the experience but be aware they are not cheap. Main entree was around $60 alone...

My wife and I moved to Oceanside a couple months ago and have been trying to find a bomb ass restaurant. Luckily, we found West Steak and seafood. They served me the best steak I have had in a long time, the wine was fantastic, and the side dishes were remarkable. My wife said the same thing about her lobster and sides. Our waitress was very attentive and the rest of the staff were very respectful. Expensive, but every dollar is worth it. I will be back soon

Tiffanie, our server, greeted us by our names and delivered on point recommendations with an energetic flare. The food was as delicious as the reviews, and Tiffanie, led us to expect. My husband took me out for my Birthday and I chose West Steak and Seafood at 7:00pm for a nice intimate Birthday dinner. We were excited to dine at West and decided to go early to have drinks and appetizers at the bar before dinner. We were greeted by a very nice Maitre d' and went to the bar at 6:10pm. The bartender was nice and recommended the Scallop appetizer. We chose a bottle of wine, a mixed drink and the Scallops. Everything was going great and the Scallops were amazing. At 6:30 my husband ordered another Scallop appetizer.
That is when my Birthday dinner started going wrong! After we ordered the second Scallops the bartender no longer acknowledged our presence and we waited 30 minutes for a Scallop appetizer that never arrived. At 7:00pm the very nice Maitre d' came to let us know that our table was ready for our reservation so we cancelled the Scallop appetizer, paid our bar check and went to our table.
More bad news! We went to our table looking forward to a great dinner. The waiter was nice, shared the Specials with us, told the waiter it was my birthday and we discussed different Lobster options. We chose a 12oz. Filet Mignon and the Twin Lobster dinner to share both. We had two rolls and the waiter came by the table to pour the wine as we waited.
45 minutes later, no food, our rolls we gone and no offer of more! We asked the waiter to check on the food and in a few minutes the food came. Wrong! The waiter had misunderstood and we only had one Lobster Tail instead of two. To make this worse the food was cold and the manager came to the table. He offered to send the food back to the kitchen but after we waited so long we kept it and I did not want the steak over cooked to warm it up. I suggested an after dinner drink and the manager offered dessert and the drink. At the end we declined the dessert and ordered our drink.
No mention of my birthday at all!
All ours for $259.12. The food could have been wonderful had is not been cold and late! Sad

I ordered the crab 🦀 cakes. Omg delicious 🤤. Not breaded, very good portions and just grilled crab meat. By far the best.
My companion ordered filet and lobster and as well was fabulous. Highly recommend this spot.
Our server was pleasant and very attentive.

I flew from Washington to CA for my birthday. My son took me to have my 50th birthday dinner here.
The service was a 5 star however my steak was not!
I asked them to cook it a little longer, they did. It was still raw in the middle.
My opinion for a top rating restaurant who strives to give the best food ever should have the best cook ever. My opinion was the cook is an Applebee's cook not a five star restaurant cook. Paying $95 for steak and lobster was ridiculous when the meat was so small and undercooked twice medium rare is not raw in the middle I personally could cook a better steak then what was served to me. They wouldn't comp on our meal even though I couldn't eat my food because it was raw the second person dining with us as well ask for a steak that was medium and hers too was raw. I will say is a beautiful place, the lady who was our server was amazing. She told us the sorry about the restaurant and their own private gas station by the way is just beautiful. But when you're paying that kind of money for food it should be cooked properly and the right way I honestly feel because my son and his girlfriend were younger and when they talk to the manager they did not take him seriously which is very disappointing. I feel that regardless of your age you should still be treated fairly and I guarantee that if I would have said something that the meals would have been comped the right way but because you have younger generation wining and dining me or even going in by themselves they should still be treated the right way I'm very disappointed as they rant and Rave about this restaurant or very excited and save their money to take me out for a very fancy dinner on my 50th and then I felt like they were treated like we were at Applebee's that's just not right and I really hope that the owner sees this message and has a nice little talk with the chef and the manager running the place. If anybody is ever in Portland Vancouver area sailor Steakhouse is still my favorite they know how to cook a steak

A bit overwhelming! Server overloads you with info right off the top. Tables are too cramped with glasses for everything.( no biggie). Good menu selections but who needs a 20 oz steak especially with the size of the side dishes. (2) ( another way to justify the high prices) Service was good but as a chef of 15 yrs, these cooks/chefs need a lesson on the difference between mid-rare and mid-well. They butchered my meal.....on my birthday no less! I can say I went, but only once. In short, the service is better than the food .......although conceptually they have some pretty good ideas. Lesson the portions and drop the prices. Your servers might not have to kiss so much ss to justify the cost of a meal!

My parents are the most picky eaters. I was super worried about taking them here. I already love this place, I always have great food and always great experiences. So taking my parents here was kinda worrisome. But they LOVED this place..so I did good!!
I just wish they bring back the Chef's tasting menu.. but I will always bring new people here.. and I will always post about my visits here on my FB page, because it is the best gourmet dining in SD North county.... keep up the GREAT work West!!! ;-)

The food at West is good, but for what they charge we expected better. The side dishes were just so so. Steaks are good. Service was just OK too. Nice enough people but not the most attentive. Just felt a little flat and a bit pushy with the drinks and add ons.

From the moment we walked in the door, we were attended to as if we were the only ones there.. even though they were packed...! And now I know why.. dinner was phenomenal and service was amazing.. Karen was our server so I will definitely request her again.. Chris the manager and Bobby the GM came by and spent some time getting to know us.. which is rare these days..and Nathan the bartender capped off our nite with a nice after dinner cocktail.. which was our dessert..!!

We came in from Charleston, SC with friends and we're directed to West via the concierge at Grand Pacific Palisades Resort. The 4 of us raved about the ambiance as well as the "over the top" service. But it was the food and how it was presented. Outstanding!! The Chilean Sea Bass was perfect as we're all the accompanying dishes.

WOW!! This IS the place for steak. I had the Ribeye Cap, and it was done exactly as i ordered it. The creamed corn was unlike any other I have ever had...amazing. Fresh naked rolls, and that lobster tail....literally gets no better. Any restaurant can cook a steak, West excels at it.
