Spirito's Italian Diner - Carlsbad - Photo album

Great little deli-style, Italian restaurant. Featured on Guy Fieri’s “Dinners, Drive-Ins, and Dives”. This is our second time here. For this trip, we had the chicken parmigiana and the meatball subs. Their red sauce is excellent. The sub rolls are the perfect consistency - soft on the inside with a
Great Italian food. Prepare for a wait. They get busy. We live about 30 mins away and called ahead and then drove down to pick up our food and then ate there. Friendly people. Two of the younger girls need to learn how to pick up the pace. The one poor lady I felt was picking up all their slack. We'
Small family owned place with good food. I had fabulous spaghetti with meat sauce ... and a sausage!!! Generous serving with plenty left over for my lunch tomorrow. Though the menu is somewhat limited (compared to some other Italian restaurants), you will not find anywhere with a better tasting sauc
Wow with all the great reviews we were so excited to eat here. Well I don't know what happened but everything was flavourless. The tomato gravy was blah, the meatball didn't taste like anything, and their garlic dressing just tasted like oil. Also we ordered 2 servings of spaghetti and there was b
Featured in Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, we had to try the recommended menu items. It hit the spot and made me want more! I had the cheese ravioli with meat sauce added for an extra charge The dish looks pretty small but it fills you up. Wife had the egg plant parmigiana and wished she had got the
There was a time when I would have told anyone who was looking for a great slice of pizza, a great meatball, or a great plate of pasta with a sauce that only Italian angels could have made, that the place to go (if you lived within a reasonable distance) would be Spirito's. I first saw them on Diner
I have been to Spirito's in Elizabeth, NJ many times and came on vacation to Carlsbad and tried this location. Didn't think it would be as good, but it was. Their gravy is awesome and the Ravioli's are just like I remembered. The Pizza was really good, but not as good as the original, but close.
This is the best Italian food around! The best dish I’ve had here is the eggplant parmigiana, it’s soooo good, just like a Little Italy in NYC. I’m very picky about my pizza and it’s also the best around. It’s annoying as hell to get in touch with them and when you do it’s so noisy in the background
