@Bruce K. AKA Salt Of The Earth Projects Sheraton a pretty champagne cocktail named Fizz Blossom. It's made with vodka, lemon juice, lavender flower syrup, sparkling wine and purple lavender floral sprigs. Another floral beverage is the lavender lemon spritz made with Tito’s Vodka, lemon juice, lavender-infused simple syrup and sparkling wine served over ice with a lemon twist and a lavender flower. Both are ideal starters out on the patio at sunset, while listening to live music.
Chef Eddie makes some creative dishes that include hibiscus coconut shrimp ceviche with tangerine & chive flowers, and a hamachi crudo decorated with cilantro flowers, citrus flowers and radish flowers.
Try hIs fennel arugula salad brightened with fennel flowers and pansies.
For an entree the mustard flower crusted lamb has beautiful arugula blossoms.
Be sure to order the rooibos-orange blossom cake sprinkled in a mosaic of pretty flower petals.
Sean at the bar was absolutely fantastic. Delicious drinks and outstanding service. We only had the chips with onion dip for bar food but it was tasty as well. Had breakfast here and ordered from the menu. Brioche French toast was delicious.
Recently, I was invited to Twenty/20 Grill & Wine Bar in Carlsbad, located in the Sheraton Resort & Spa. I rarely go all the way up to Carlsbad, but S and I thought that it’d be a fun experience!. It’s a pretty fancy hotel restaurant, with plenty of outdoor seating and a beautifully decorated interior. We were seated promptly, and I noticed as I was glancing around the restaurant, that Mary, of This Tasty Life, was there too, along with Jake and his son S (haha, I just noticed that there were two “S”s at this meal!). We were pretty excited to see each other and asked the hostess if we could just all sit together, since the more the merrier, right?
Had one of the best filet mignon steaks ever. Service was attentive. Atmosphere was quiet and elegant when we visited in September.
