Great atmosphere, wonderful service, amazing food! I had the scallops over goat cheese grits and wow! So yummy! We had Antonio as our server and he was very attentive. I highly recommend the Newport old fashion, it was so good!

Great food, calamari was a little light on portion but grimelli shrimp pasta was awesome. Train came by 5 times that was loud but not restaurant fault. Great decor and atmosphere!

I've discovered a fabulous new seafood restaurant in Carlsbad and you get the heads up, my seafood loving friends! Of course, they have other items on the menu, but good, fresh, and sustainable caught seafood is increasingly difficult to find. You owe it to yourself to try this restaurant. As my appetizer I chose an absolutely perfectly prepared and presented seared Scallops w/ Roasted Jalapeño Aioli, Tomato oil, chopped bacon and fresh cilantro. Rainbow trout amodine, with scalloped potatoes and Charred Blue Lake Green Beans with Almonds and Shallots. Since I walked there, I even indulged in a glass of house wine, a wonderfully smooth Chardonnay with a crisp apple finish. Yummy!! If you show them your lunch/dinner receipt, you will get a 10% discount on everything in the fresh seafood and meat case. I took home smoked Salmon (Alaskan wild caught), and fresh smoked (in house!) Tuna and a container of an incredibly delicious Manhattan Clam Chowder with a loaf of complementary sour dough bread. Foodies, don't miss this one!! Amazing place! Lots of parking. Dogs allowed on patio. You don’t have to make a reservation if it’s under 6 guests. Beautiful ambience. Great service!! Swordfish was incredible. Will definitely be back. My hubby and I were there for Sunday brunch.

We were walking down the village when we saw Bluewater Grill. We were amazed with the food from appetizers we had of oysters, Ipswich clams and artichoke and dip. The entrees of hot lobster roll, Louie salad, poke bowl, tuna melt and chicken tacos were delicious. We are definitely coming back.

Scallops to die for! Freshest oysters from British Columbia, briny and sweet. And sourdough bread, warm, crunchy on outside, soft flavorful butter-melting doughy interior. Love our bartenders, YaVonne. Great selection for Happy Hour on drinks & eats! Our new Go-To Fav place ���

Walked to dinner- everything we ordered was fabulous: smelt, ceviche, calamari, fish tacos and drinks (all at happy hour prices) were top notch! Entrees were amazing and service was exceptional. We will be back soon!!!

I went there for lunch last week before the official opening. My friend and I loved it! For starters we had the scallops, absolutely delicious and the presentation was beautiful! I had the salmon and it was delicious! Can't wait to go back and try dessert! Highly recommend this place. Welcome to the Village!

We celebrated my recent birthday with dinner at Bluewater Grill. I was floored by the service from Brittney but we were also impressed by the quality of the seafood platters we ordered. My hubby was raving about his Chioppino, comparing it with Vintana’s which he had just a few weeks ago! Only con I can come up with is the bday ice cream I was given with a candle. I wish the dessert could have been a bit fancier since it was a special occasion!

Found this place searching for seafood on Google. Wasn't disappointed at all. The atmosphere was great, the server was very nice, and the food was amazing. We had oysters, very fresh, fish and chips, cooked to perfection, shrimp pasta with scallops, amazing, and the New England clam chowder which was phenomenal. Definitely a place to remember, a bit pricey though.

Great place, great service. Scallop dish with grits was awesome. Fillet mignon was tasty too. The pasta with shrimp wasn't too great, but great place overall. So we will be back. Oyster shooters are the best!

Really good food! This is the third time I’ve been here. I wasn’t sure about which clam chowder to get so I decided on a combo of both..really good. My wife got the the red snapper and I went with the spicy ahi tuna. So good! Service was prompt, friendly and helpful. Will be back next time we’re in town!

Omg, all the food was amazing! We went during happy hour after hearing about their crab and artichoke dip and it was so worth it! Their Dynamite Shrimp was our favorite part and their baha fish tacos were so good!

This place was amazing. First time there but will be back for sure. Quaint atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. This restaurant has a fresh fish market on site that you can buy fresh seafood catches of the day from Swordfish to Mahi Mahi, to Rock fish to Oysters to Scallops. We started with crab cakes and clay chowder soup. Both very good and tasty. The bloody Mary and mojito cocktails were done right. Oue entrees were the Salmon and Swordfish plates. Both excellent looking and tasting. Th finish the great meal with key lime pie and coffee was a good ending to a great dining experience. Amanda, our server, was very professional and friendly and answered all our questions and was on top of things.

Nice restaurant where the older fish house Vera Cruz used to be. Good outdoor seating in the sun facing the street. Their sourdough bread is awesome. We had the crab and artichoke dip which was really good. Sanddabs grilled just right. And a nice ceased salad. I tried their beer sampler. Nice place to visit in Carlsbad if you’re looking for seafood.

Wonderful, wonderful. Such amazing people work here. A+ Service. The ambience was lovely. I enjoyed the sound of the Coastliner as we dined al fresco. Late October evening air wasn't an issue, there were plenty of outdoor heaters that kept the chill away. The food was amazing. I enjoyed that little signs of consideration were in everything from the lemon skewered on the giant toothpick over the glass (in case I didn't want lemon in my tea, no need to ask), to the extra crackly sourdough bread that's to-die-for and we didn't even have to ask, let alone run down a wait staff member as I gladly would have to get another serving of that heaven. They timed my difficult meal to perfection as we enjoyed our steamed clams appetizer and then swordfish and trout. Too full to force more but unwilling to finish the night without dessert, I got our key lime pie to go. A peek in my to-go bag and I've got all the treat I need this Halloween weekend.

First, this is the ONLY place I've found in my 10 years in CA that knows how to make true MD style blue crab cakes. Second, the service here is amazing. Third, the open doors and being so close to the beach provides a great breeze throughout the restaurant. Lastly, the decor and vibe is very relaxing. I'll definitely be back for many future visits.
