We were in the area for a different restaurant that ended up being too busy so we came here. For a Friday night it wasn't busy at all, got our food quickly and the server was fantastic!!! Food was also good and kid approved, mango margarita was good but was too tart to finish.

Islands Restaurants, known for its signature burgers, ice-cold drinks and laid-back surf-inspired atmosphere, is partnering with Southern California-based Left Coast Brewing Co. to create an exclusive new brew just in time for summer. Beginning June 13, Islands guests can enjoy the brand new Hula Bay IPA along with seasonal menu items including the Heat Wave Burger and refreshing Colada Sunset.
The food was great! Our server Ben was highly attentive and the ability to make lower calorie substitutions was excellent. I had the Maui burger with a turkey patty, and it was spectacular. Chicken tenders were lightly breaded and good. Fries were crispy and light. Menus show calories which can be daunting, but it did force me to make better choices. I would definitely return. Great job.
Burgers. Not great but not bad
Good Food, Horrible Parking. If you've eaten at the Islands chain before you know what to expect. This is a good location but it's usually busy and has one of the worst parking lots with tight spots and one way in/out traffic. Get past the door dings and the expected Islands experience is good. Menu standouts are currently the Kilauea Burger and the Cabo Loco pork soft tacos.
Nothing amazing, but consistent.. Good food, good service. There are a ton of options on the menu, so it's a crowd pleaser. This isn't one of those restaurants you love and recommend to everyone though. Similar to Chili's and restaurants in that category.
I'm a little biased since I use to work at the one in vista but the place is still great. I know how fresh the ingredients are and how they are clean freaks. I love the food and will be a customer for life.

I got the China Coast Salad & hubby got the Tiki Tenders, we LOVED them both !! The salad was something I will definitely return for again !! The service was excellent too !
Amazing food, Amazing staff, a must stop if upu are hungry, food the entire famcan enjoy. The truffle fries are awesome! we will be back.
Ordered the Maui burger with turkey wrapped in lettuce. It was delicious, fresh, hot and did not take long to receive. The person that took my order provided excellent service both over the phone and in person.
My only issue is with the two hostesses inside the restaurant both of whom completely ignored me when I entered the restaurant even though they were not assisting anyone after sitting in the previous family.
The restaurant was not overly busy at the time.

Editing my review. Last night my wife and I stopped by for a second time to give Islands another shot. I really do love their food; some of the best burgers I’ve ever had. They are quite busy each time we’ve gone, and this time they were not too busy to give personal attention to us. The young woman on staff is probably one of the best waitresses we’ve had while eating out. She gave me and my wife everything we asked for, checked on us regularly, and we were out the door quickly like I prefer.
I think I jumped the gun too quickly with my first review because really, since it’s the best burgers in town of course there’s gonna be times they’re overwhelmed and might miss the attentiveness sometimes. I also observed how staff treated other guests last night and they appeared to not only help in a timely professional manner but they also seemed to really love their job. I’ll be going back!
Great food AND drinks. I love the truffle fries! The atmosphere is laid back and chill. Took my son here after his birthday outing and they gave him a free desert, very much appreciated their kindness.
