Better than home cooking (at least my cooking). This restaurant is my family's go-to spot for comfort food, Mexican style. The chicken soup is delicious, with a rich, flavorful broth. Shrimp burritos are bomb, filled with big, perfectly cooked shrimp. Quality is terrific, the kitchen is clean, and service is fast and friendly. Love it!
This is totally authentic Mexican food. No canned meat, all fresh and great tasting. Prices are good and the value is great. Great heated patio to relax at on quieter street. Easy parking all around restaurant. You can order on phone or internet it’s so easy. Order and walk a few blocks to beach for a sun down seaside dinner. Check for the daily specials !!!!
This place is definitely a spot that you need to indulge in. The food is spectacular. It’s like someone knows what they are doing in that kitchen. Their Shrimp burrito is the best shrimp burrito in North County, hands down. It’s quaint and inviting and outdoor dining w the heaters and fire lighting is perfect. Polla Maria’s top choice in my book.
Solid burritos! Solid food! Absolutely a place to try and return to. I will not stop eating here. Burritos are a good size, but not an ungodly amount someone can't finish. Prices are just right for what you get. A great little place overall.

Decent Mexican style food, friendly staff, amazing outdoor patio dining area with firepits next to the tables. As the name suggests they are known for chicken, which was well cooked, seemed fresh and recent with very quick service.
Food was alright, not great, not bad.... Just maybe above alright. Had the Nachos with tortilla chips instead of fries. My daughter a Asada burrito, wife a Enchiladas de pollo... both OK as well...i guess they're signature food is grilled chicken which none of us tried.
