Price was reasonable, food was AMAZING! I had the pulled pork dinner with fried okra and Mac and cheese. The bbq sauce has a mild bite to it and went perfectly with the smoked pork.
It was by far the best brisket that I've ever had in my travels across the country. The pulled pork was fantastic as well. Mustard sauce was delicious. Worth going to Carlsbad, NM again just for this BBQ.
Stopped in for for something different while out of town. WOW! This is what is missing in Texas. Friendly beyond belief without being intrusive. I think I tried everything except for the chicken. Cooked the right way, not burnt, undercooked, dry and served plenty of each. Sides were even good. Had to buy some of their sauce for the house.

There is no better place for BBQ in Carlsbad than My Daddy's BBQ! The spicy mustard is in a league of its own.
My husband and I tried this place for my birthday last November when we were still living in Carlsbad. A friend had told us that it was (close to) REAL South Carolina pulled pork BBQ with mustard sauce. It was LEGIT and so very tasty! We talked to the chef and owner - great man.
Being from the home of real BBQ, I can honestly say this brings a little taste of South Carolina to the Southwest.
Out of towner's looking for a good bbq spot, this is it!! Flavorful and filling. Good portions at reasonable prices. You won't be disappointed.
I loved this place! I tried the pick three meats with sides. The hot links were great and the BBQ sauce was delicious! I recommend you try the spicy BBQ sauce. The service was very friendly and efficient. This is a very small location don't blink you might miss it but so worth the stop!
This place is excellent!! Everything we had was scrumptious! The barbecue sauce had excellent flavor. The brisket was tender and flavorful. The coleslaw was delicious and the okra was the best I've ever eaten. I highly recommend this place.
They have some good gumbo on Thursday's. Also their turkey legs are the best!
