The Pork Tenderloin Is Spectacular!
We were in the area for a wedding and knew that Indiana was famous for pork tenderloin sandwiches so we did some searches and went to Muldoon's. We went for lunch and had a nice seat out on the covered patio. Just as their menu says, their pork t-loin sandwiches are award winners so we had to try. My wife had the Mini Breaded tenderloin sandwich ($11.99) with an included side of Kettle potato chips. I had to try the full size Breaded Tenderloin sandwich ($13.99) with included side of french fries. Our orders came to the table and they looked great. The Mini t-loin still hung over the bun by inches and my full sizer was more than double the bun size! I cut it in half and double stacked it. Lettuce, tomato, mayo and sliced pickles accompanied the sandwich. I had them bring me some raw onion. The breading was light and crunchy, the pork had a great pork flavor and was very moist. Now we know why their pork t-loin is award winning. The french fries were tasty also. Twice fried and seasoned with a crunchy exterior, soft interior. You've got to try this place!
An excellent dining experience. Fast friendly service and tasty food. As an appetizer we got the fried cheese (and adult take on mozzarella sticks) and I got the Breaded Pork Tenderloin and my wife got the French Dip. The appetizer and sandwiches delicious. I got a Black and Tan and it was tasty as well. We would not hesitate to go back if the opportunity presents itself.
Such a great area to grab a pint and food. I recommend stopping for a bite and sitting out on the patio. Service was very slow but friendly and the food was on point for an Irish style pub.
Came with a large group of coworkers for a retirement lunch and everything was perfect. I personally had the Pollos Mexicano and it was delicious!
A nice place to have a good hearty meal, in the center of Carmel. Their tenderloin was excellent. They also do very good fish and chips.
The service was good and our waitress came back at regular intervals to check that we had all we needed and to top up our coffee cups
First time visit tonight and it was wonderful! The service was fantastic and food was quick and fresh. I was hesitant on getting the tenderloin because I am picky about them, but went off the recommendations from reviews and I’m so glad I did. The most tender and flavorful tenderloin I’ve had in recent memory. The cheese skewers were good as well. The spicy margarita was on point. Other people in my party got the tuna melt and the buffalo chicken salad and everyone was happy. The place was a little noisy, but that’s to be expected when a place is packed. Thank you for being an affordable, welcoming, and most importantly delicious place for us to have our early thanksgiving at!
Great service - the host was especially nice and you could tell he was working very hard wearing different hats from seating and cleaning tables. Food was outstanding! The only critique is the margarita was very weak or maybe someone forgot the tequila. Overall, it was very satisfying and a cool atmosphere. We will return.
Excellent! Large portions.
First visit.
Appetizer - 9 layer dip with tortilla chips- which I Love and have never seen at any other restaurant- good taste & plenty of melted cheese!
I ordered a breaded tenderloin- Huge and good, seasoned fries are super crispy. Homemade banana cream pie- yummy & the piece was Huge, like a double slice!
Table mates: Huge BLT salad with Slices of bacon not wimpy bits & tuna melt sandwich was overstuffed, also commented the slaw was Excellent!
I'll be back!
I really enjoyed the breaded tenderloin being my first time here! My husband loved his grilled chicken sandwich. Lots of delicious options on the menu and the atmosphere is very welcoming.
I was there for a group event of about 20 people (birthday celebration) and had an opportunity to sample several of their appetizers, which were all quite good. The group chose from four entrees, and everyone seemed pleased with their selections.
I stayed with iced tea, so I can't speak to their selection of adult beverages, but they do have an ample selection.
The serving staff was especially attentive to making sure everyone was well taken care of.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Only note that it is located in a dense business district in Carmel, and parking is a bit of a consideration.
** Update**
We returned after a not so great visit in November. This visit was more like the Muldoon’s I know. The service was good, they were accommodating for our service dog and the food was delicious. I would put their onion rings up against anyone’s. I appreciate Muldoon’s for reaching out and being proactive after our last visit. They quickly addressed our concerns and were proactive about reaching out. While we were not planning on returning so soon, the family decided to give them a try again after spending time downtown. Glad we did!
We have always enjoyed Muldoon’s in the past. However our last visit was extremely disappointing. While eating my tenderloin, I found a long hair in my sandwich. I immediately notified our server. The lack of leadership interaction was extremely disappointing. The server was left to handle the situation herself and at no time did the manager even come to our table. The best she did was walk past our table as the server pointed out our table, quickly turn around and go back into the kitchen. *No one at our table had any hair close to the length of that found in the food*. Can only imagine she wanted to blame it on someone at our table. Wasn’t our server’s fault but to leave the server to handle bad customer experiences is definitely a sign of poor leadership. Definitely won’t be back anytime soon.
Great experience from start to finish. Staff is friendly. We sat in the bar area & Dawn was our server, she was great, experienced & she really seemed to care. Food was delicious. I had the crab cake salad, my friend had the Hawaiian salad & hubby had the club sandwich & the homemade banana cream pie 🥧 salads were good portions but not overwhelming. Everything was delicious. Fair prices & very clean.
🥗🍺 would definitely recommend.
Great local spot for classic Irish pub food in the heart of downtown Carmel. Visiting from out of town so I had to try the tenderloin sandwich, which was great. Went on a week day in off hours so was fairly quiet. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Looks like they have area for outdoor seating which seems like it would be great on a warm summer day! Overall, would recommend. -BJ
Most of our group had the famous breaded tenderloin ... no one was disappointed.
Our 1st time here. We shared a fish dinner & a tenderloin sandwich - both were very good. Highly recommend the tenderloin!
Food was good, we just had an appetizer and bloody Marys. Our server was friendly. We were here from out of town and wanted a place to watch the Bengals game, which was on at the same time as the colts. The bar was accommodating and seated all the out of town fans together in the back room with 2 TVs to watch the game. It created a great environment, even though the Bengals blew it!
This establishment is great. They do an incredible job hitting the Irish pub experience with incredibly made food (try the rueben) to genius, smithwicks on tap. Brenda and Dawn were absolutely incredible. Great service, great pours (yes that is a thing). Will return very soon and for a long time. Great staff.
