This place is fantastic! The atmosphere is awesome! Our server Mickey was one of the best servers we have had in a long time! Everything was so beautiful and delicious and very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great ramen.
Was brought here for my birthday !! Did the noodle bowl challenge (see photo) and won!!
$60 meal + 25$ tee shirt are free if you finish :)
I join the noodle legends!!
Maybe I didn't choose the right meal, but it was fair. I had good portions. The pork chop meal disappointed me. It's just a lot of rice with shredded pork. There are no pork chops. There were two or three thin slices of roast pork. My husband had fried chicken and salad in a big bowl. That was okay, too. Perhaps I thought the Japanese food selection would be more exotic and exciting.
I love the restaurant! Their dishes are good and authentic enough to Japanese. We ordered Miso and Tonkotsu ramen. All of them were good but I personally prefer their miso ramen. Plus, servers are attentive and bright. You can hear upbeat Korean music here! Twice and Ohmygirl :)
My favorite place around Indy to get authentic ramen! There was about a 25 minute wait when I got there but well worth it! The service was kind of slow and they forgot two of our appetizers. It was very busy and the quality of food was still delicious! Definitely will be going back, hopefully on a less busy night.
This was a really great place to eat ramen! I highly recommend it. The service was amazing she was nice and shook my sake also very intentive. I had the vegetable ramen witch the broth was very good I added tofu witch I wish was fried but it came cold witch was way different. I didn't know what to think. and my friend had the garlic tonkatsu Witch they said was very good and I think looked on point. Over all great atmosphere and I would recommend this place
Waitstaff is always friendly and prompt.I do wish there were more of a description for each bowl type but once you go a few times you kinda memorize it. The food is very reasonably priced for the amount you get.The bathrooms were very clean and even offered free mouthwash with cups.
I have tried ramen all over Indiana in hopes of finding the best. This. By far. Takes the cake. Absolutely rich and delicious broth, perfectly cooked egg, and the slice of pork was the most tender I've had. Highly recommend the popular garlic tonkotsu shoyu ramen.
Update - I have now been here twice and it is JUST as good, still the best I have had and their consistency is unmatched. Great appetizers and saki.
A good ramen spot for a friendly or family get together. Food was great, plenty of standard options which you can customize with additional toppings for a couple dollars more. Staff is very good about checking for dietary restrictions and making recommendations. Food came out quickly and staff was nice about letting us stay a couple minutes past closing. Quiet enough to have a conversation without shouting.
I work right around the corner from Kizuki and have had lunch here almost everyday. I enjoy the atmosphere as it feels like a piece of Japan. As a love of Kirin malt beer, it’s so refreshing to be able to have it on tap. The authenticity of the “Welcome” to the minute you leave is very fulfilling as I’m practicing Japanese myself. The workers humor me every time I come in there when I try to practice. I am huge fan of the chasu don and takoyaki. Chasu don is such a rich umami flavor to it with perfectly charred piece of pork and beautifully cooked white rice. It’s almost poetic the flavor. Followed by delicious takoyaki which is filled with the cleanest tasting squid you could ask for. The soft bonito flakes still wiggling around just makes the dish more alive and delivers a heart warming flavor when it hits your mouth. Not much of a secret, but with a hot day in Indiana, just a nice side of cold thin home made ramen noodles hits the spot to finish off a nice meal. To the owners and workers, I humbly bow. The best affordable ramen I had in Indiana so far. Personal favorites are Spicy Miso Ramen(which is not very spicy) and Garlic Tonkotsu. Garlic tonkotsu is a bit too salty for me tho. Side dishes like takoyaki are also worth trying. The vibe is perfect and generally don’t need to wait too long for the food. But most of the time this place is full of people so plan ahead.
Fantastic Ramen restaurant. Modernist-traditional decor inside, ample staff, a kitchen you can see and a small bar area are some of the details of Kizuki. The menu has plenty of dishes that can be further customized with extra toppings, along with "sides". Drink selection is a bit sparse, but that's yo be expected, as the ramen is the star of the show. Waiting times can be a little long on weekends, but pretty fast during the week. Overall, a fabulous choice for Ramen in one of the most unexpected places in Indiana.
The garlic Tonkotsu ramen was amazing, one of the best ramens I've ever had. The service was also really great. This was our first time in. And the server was kind enough to explain everything on the menu and answer our questions.
My absolute favorite ramen place! I've been several times over the past few years, and have never been disappointed. Every type of ramen and all the izakaya dishes are so delicious! They have a great bar selection as well. Highly recommend this place!
Definitely an authentic ramen experience. We’ve only ever had the ramen (tonkotsu for me and spicy for my wife). Overall it’s consistently good. Service can vary based on the staff, there are some great servers here and some, not so much. My only complaint if they changed pork meats recently to a pork belly. The pork belly is generally a fatty piece and it’s not usually very good, sometimes rubbery. I wish they’d just go back to the old pork cuts and then it would be 5 star again.
Tried this joint out, we ordered a couple of different things, the appetizer I didn't like it, however the main course was very flavorful.
