I LOVE this place. I have made this my birthday spot 2 years in a row. Dogs are encouraged to bring their owners to this lovely restaurant and lounge for Yappy Hour. Patrons sit in a comfy lounge with a martini and their pup. I got to see the marvelous chanteuse Debbie Davis thus last trip. The drinks and food are great and the atmosphere is enchanting. Kudos to Rafael who took great care of us!

I have given overall 5 star mainly for the food and associated price. One of the tastiest food I had in recent days. Portion of chicken Piccata, cypress club was unbelievable. French dip and fish tacco was also good. But star of the show was surely chicken piccata. I would highly recommend. It was a very windy and cold (when in shade) so couldnt enjoy 100% due to the cold as we sat outside. Otherwise super pleased. Highly recommend. For now enjoy the pic.

**Terry's Lounge, Cypress Inn - Carmel by the Sea** Tucked away in the picturesque town of Carmel by the Sea, Terry's Lounge at the Cypress Inn promises an experience that's nothing short of delightful. From the moment you step in, the ambiance captivates you: it's a blend of old-world charm and modern elegance, making you feel as if you've stepped into a classic Hollywood movie. Now, the Prawn Martini here is a showstopper. Presented in a martini glass, the prawns are succulent, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, their natural sweetness harmoniously juxtaposed with a tangy cocktail sauce that has just the right kick. It's a dish that looks as good as it tastes, with the prawns artfully arranged to tempt and tantalize. Pairing it with a glass of champagne was an excellent decision. The effervescence of the bubbly enhanced the freshness of the prawns, and each sip after a bite was like a palate cleanser, prepping my taste buds for the next flavorful morsel. The champagne's crisp notes were a sublime match for the Prawn Martini, making the combination heavenly. In conclusion, Terry's Lounge offers not just a meal, but an experience. The Prawn Martini paired with a glass of champagne is a must-try, a symphony of flavors that dance gracefully on the palate. A visit here is sure to leave you with cherished memories and a longing to return. Highly recommended.

Service was the best with all the staff working at the lounge and hotel. Beautiful bar, living room space and patio. Drinks were well made and even your furry children/friends get fabulous service. Staff was very attentive to all customers human and dogs. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I found this gem in charming Carmel-by-the-Sea and celebrated our birthdays with brunch. The food was very good and there was a great selection of delicious sounding cocktails (of course we couldn't try them all but the ones we did try were very good, with the exception of the Honey Bee which was just a bit one dimensional. It wasn't bad, just a little boring). The service was by far the best part of our visit - our waiter, Esteban, was very attentive, friendly, and professional (and gave us ice cream and berries on the house). We also ended up sitting at the table next to Denny and his wife and they personally thanked us for coming and asked a little bit about us when we got up to leave, which was really, really nice. We were also pleasantly surprised by the bill-we got far more for the same price we pay on a typical night out in Morgan Hill Great vibe and decorations and not pretentious at all. We will definitely be back!

💜💜💜💜💜This Place, Everything About It Is Gr8! Much Love for Doris Day & Her Influence on Music, Dance, Dog Welfare & Leaving A Beautiful Business Behind To Leave A Wonderful Contribution To Carmel-By-The-Sea Community & Visitors. To include Dogs Is The icing on the cake. Love the Live Entertainment & Terry’s Lounge Dedicated To Her Son. Well Done. Nice selection of bar bites. Very good handcrafted cocktails. Building design has that touch of Old Hollywood & wonderful old posters from the movies. Don’t miss this place when you visit the area.

Update. Last review (1 star of 5 years ago for lunch). Times change, circumstances change. Now 4 stars for night cap. Was spending a few days in Carmel and looking for a pleasant, quiet, comfortable place for a night cap notwithstanding my hotel, Auberge, had a cozy bar. Have been here before, but gave it another chance - and glad I did. The night was a bit chilly so sat inside. Several tables full (with pet companions) eating late dinners. My wife and I had a Manhattan (with 3 dark cherries) and a Chardonnay and a bar order of fries. It all hit the spot perfectly - and the people watching (with their dog buddies) was top notch.

We dined several times for lunch and dinner and enjoyed the food and service each time. Our labradoodle was made welcome at the table as well. We ate in their outdoor patio which is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Loved the cream of asparagus soup!! Pasta was average, I had mushroom ravioli in saffron cream sauce - it didn’t taste like a fresh ravioli. But anywho, cozy ambience and affordable prices.

This place was so fun and so special. We started on the outdoor patio, which had lots of warm heaters! But it started to rain and they kindly accommodated reseating us inside (really appreciated it!!). We had the artichoke appetizer and we both got the burger - both of which were really good. The service was good and we really enjoyed our dinner! On top of that, there was live music - piano and a singer! It was so beautiful! Such a treat, we will be back!

We visited carmel for a couple of nights, we had dinner here one of the nights. The outdoor set up is really nice and they have adjusted well to the covid situation. The food was pretty good and it came out so very quick. Also, the neighborhood is a fun place to walk around or window shop. Would definitely recommend this place for a meal.

Great service and very cute dog decor. They permit dogs in the bar area. Their food menu is varied for the limited options they offer. I believe limited options tend to indicate high craftsmanship, and this is a clear example of that: delicious appetizers I did not stay at the hotel and this is a review without accounting entrees

Beautiful place. We came for brunch because we hadn't tried it before. The menu was small, so I opted for a ceasar salad with chicken. Not impressed. Kept adding salt to try and get some flavor, but it didn't work. The chicken breast was flat, like maybe 1/4 inch thick. I didn't even finish it. The bar area is beautiful, and we always see the outside courtyard busy with patrons, but that day, it was empty. Would have given it 3 stars, but the waiter was super nice.

The place is amazing. The staff is so sweet and accommodating. It was my first time dining at Terry’s Lounge and I wasn’t disappointed. I LOVED how dog friendly this place is. This shall be my go to place.
