I love this bakery! The people behind the counter are friendly and helpful! Best chocolate cannoli I've ever had! Make it a point to visit every year when in town for the Doris Day birthday events! Enjoyed the granola also!

I've never had anything here that wasn't delicious, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating, even when they're very busy. Don't let the long line deter you- it moves really quickly and it's worth the wait.
We call in our order of breakfast burrito and chai latte. They say 15 minutes and although it takes less than that to walk there, it’s already there. And then we reconsider how many more tho ha we might want to take with us (for later), go to the beach (for later stuff doesn’t make it to the beach, hehe!) 🤪😋🙃

Consistently good. Staff friendly and good local mix of tourists and locals. Over a coffe and rool, we talked to a local artist and he shared his work with us via his IPAD.
One of the oldest shops in the small cute city called Carmel by the Sea. This place is very famous and therefore there is always a big rush. Unfortunately due to the high volume of guests in and out, the tables aren’t cleaned regularly therefore it is pretty dirty to dine in. They have a variety of hot and cold food and drinks. In addition they have many freshly baked goodies that you can choose from. I ate the meatball sub and it was good!
Everyone in town was walking around with their ice cream so I just had to try it. It was really crowded so I didn't get a chance to see all the dessert options but I highly recommend their cookie crunch and butter pecan ice cream flavors
Pretzels. The pretzels here are amazing.
Nice place to get your sweets, pretzels are soft and fresh, I really like the texture and freshness of the bread. We ordered a salty pretzel and an Italian sandwich, both good, however I find the pretzel extra salty. I order to go the everything pretzel, cinnamon and chocolate, and cheese one, however the server give another salty pretzel instead of the cheese and I noticed it to late as we were back on the road. I bit disappointed about it.
The line was out the door for this place. Probably because they had the most delicious window decorations, with plates and trays of their baked goods to look at. We had an apricot strudel and white chocolate chip blondie and they were both very good. Though the blondie was particularly well done--just the right amount of fudgey-cakey texture and sweetness. Really a home run.
We always get Rhum Baba from Carmel Bakery. They don't make it regularly but when they have it, very sure to grab a couple. They're so delicious! We also like their limoncello. It's also yummy!
Yes! Yes! Yes! Do not miss this place it is just amazing. The staff are pleasant & knowledgeable and all the bakery items look amazing. I tried the cookies, a few brownies and a pretzel. Mariannes ice cream from Santa Cruz was also amazing try thge flavor called 1020. I am going back tonight. I think I am going to get 2 chocolate chip cookies a double scoop of 1020 and make a ice cream sandwich. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!
Oh wow is this bakery amazing! I'm back home and crave what I got there all the time! The lobster tail was baked to buttery perfection! The shell was as crisp as glass and the cream had actual specks of vanilla bean! The cinnamon walnut rugelach was to die for! I really dream of it now haha. Just the perfect amount of sweetness and nothing was overly sweet. Can you open a location in Chicago please??
Such a cute bakery shop. We order a chocolate canoli and a mocha coffee. Both were amazing. I tried canoli for the first time, I liked it a lot. It had nice flavour of cinammon as well

It’s 5 pm on a Tuesday and the place is still buzzing with people! Limited seating inside. The pastries taste fresh, I had two small pastries and a steamed milk, total $4.04.

Had breakfast at Carmel Bakery this morning and it was amazing! Their breakfast sandwich is a game-changer – freshly baked bread, eggs cooked just right, and the perfect amount of cheese and bacon. This place is a must stop for anyone with a sweet tooth. The pastries are delicious. The ice cream is delicious. The coffee is delicious. What more do you need? I don't know how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars. Quick and easy to grab coffee on the way for our Carmel by the sea beach walk as well !

We frequented this wonderful bakery 3 mornings in a row. That's how good their pastries, and pay attention here...their breakfast items are! The burritos were incredibly flavorful, but you didn't feel so stuffed after devouring them. So many varieties of pastries to choose from as well. All of them, so fresh. Best of all, that morning Americano. What a flavorful cup of Joe, so good, that I had to order another cup to go each morning. It's that good. What a treat... to take those treats...across the street at the Library and sit in that glorious morning sun, on those delightful park benches. People...and bird watching doesn't get any better! Outstanding bakery!

DELICIOUS baked goods along with ice cream and hot chocolate. The chocolate dipped macaroons and apple rugelach are huge and fabulous. Everything else looks incredible. They are open later than it’s listed on Google. Often very crowded with a line out the door.
The food here is to die for! I’ve been coming to this bakery for 40 years or so (my grandparents used to live around the corner) and everything tastes the same. Like walking back in time. The lobster tails are amazing, and so are the fruit sticks. The macaroons dipped in chocolate are my favorite. I’m not a coffee drinker, but my husband swears by it. Do yourself a favor and stop in here for a sweet treat or savory snack. You won’t regret it!
18Mar23 - had to wait 20 minutes for a fresh batch of salted pretzels - darn it 🥹😍 - so soft, warm and delicious! Bought a bunch more items to have for breakfast the next day. Glad I don’t live close or I would be here everyday gaining pounds 🤤, compliments of historic Carmel Bakery. 😳😂🥰
