I've never eaten there. But once I stopped by for a coffee and once for a beer. Just to relax with the view on those comfortable wooden chairs. I watch the fog toy with that iconic bridge! I wouldn't care anything about the food!!
Love this place found it by accident just cruising down the coast some years back and have keep coming back I come for the view and tranquility had the prime rib sandwich it was amazing, prices are reasonable too never had bad service. This place is the best kept secret and will always be a stop on my hwy 1 route
This restaurant was amazing! We found it while driving to Big Sur....yes we know route 1 is. Loses there but we were hoping to stop for a quick bit to eat. But we had no idea we would find this gem hidden! A def must see and experience! The crab rolls were amazing and the chowder are a must try. The dessert wine was a nice finish!
You couldn't ask for a better view, and our waiter was really attentive and got us everything we ordered quickly and made sure our glasses were always full. The onion rings were fantastic and the fish & chips were probably the best I've ever had. The grilled chicken sandwich was also terrific and their fries are absolutely delicious. Ill definitely be going back!

It’s rare to find a restaurant where both the view and the food are great! Rocky Point is one of my favorite lunch spots weather I am with friends, my dog or alone.

Beautiful restaurant with stunning views! The views of the Pacific coast just take your breath away. Very limited vegetarian options, sampled the veggie pasta and burger with onion rings, they were delicious. Great stop on way to Big Sur. Not to be missed, great place to grab a drink and chill..
Heavenly Scenic Location!
We are long time central California coast residents that absolutely adore the views from Rocky Point. The whales were putting on a show once again, today. The sunshine was ablaze, after a night of rain, making the landscape a technicolor wonder.
At the restaurant, there is ample parking, inside or outside seating all year long and a wonderful service staff. We share the large American size portions of food, because the delicious dishes are very rich. We are older, too!
The creamy seafood chowder was very tasty. The Seafood Cioppino is excellent, in so many ways. The bread pudding dessert presentation is visually a feast for the eyes and delicious. We were very happy with our dining adventure.

The restaurant offers a great view and vast seating area spread in small modules; a couple areas outside including a lawn that was hosting a wedding, and couple areas indoors with a fireplace. Across the parking area on the other side there’s a path leading to the edge of the rocks that kiss the sea. Thus it has both solitude and lots of people at the same time. Good drinks, we tried Mimosa and Bloody Mary. Good for quick pitstop along the scenic drive.
The reviews on here don't give the place justice. The place was busy, the service was great and the food was wonderful. We will be back!!
New owner has made a huge difference! A 6 week remodel job last March has transformed this restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere all excellent. My $17 hamburger was super good. The view overlooking the ocean is breathtaking. Check it out!

I had a wonderful experience here. I got the seafood stew special and a chocolate mouse desert. The view is one of my favorite in all the world. The service was good, touching down and being polite. The host was accommodating in my request to change seats and I got a lovely view right where I wanted to be. The landscaping and the break from driving were most welcome. You have the ability here to take pictures around the property which I also really enjoyed. Would highly recommend to anyone driving PCH.

Dirty women's room ( did get remedied eventually), in one dish we had poor quality / old mussels a kitchen test of product batches would have prevented this. ( The rest of the dish was done well with quality ingredients)

When you see the pictures of this restaurant online you are immediately drawn in, but to see it yourself in person is truly remarkable. Any seat in the house is a wonderful view of the landscape and just in the distance you are able to see the Bixby Bridge. With an array of delightful menu options and a hospitable staff this is a wonderful place to dine for almost any occasion.
I have been there twice and have two types of experience. First time, went there with my family and our server was really nice and humble. we had a good customer service. Second time, I went there with a friend and asked three times if we are done eating where the restaurant was practically empty. It was embarrassing since I was highly recommending this place to everyone after my first visit. Besides that, its totally worth going there for the view and food. I am still strongly recommending this place but server is your luck..😊
Can you get a beer by the Pacific? Romantic? Trying to locate whales in your horizon? This is the place. Exceptional view. We stopped by this place and were so amazed by the view that we spent almost two hours looking at the ocean. They have a good collection of wines and a few beers. They have their own train down the hotel. It's brilliant setting for a romantic date. Just brilliant. Don't forget to take your camera, plenty of good shots. For sure.
The food is great and the view is amazing. I can't wait to go back. The cheese wheel is certainly worth trying. This is an elegant quiet place with excellent service. Don't forget to leave a treat for Rocky.
My Caesar salad was delicious (with anchovies! Classic, proper dressing), my husband's roast beef sandwich was perfect, nice wine selection. Wonderful creme brulee if you love it as much as I do! Dog-friendly in the patio and you can wander the grounds after you eat with breathtaking views. Really nice atmosphere and attentive wait staff, clean bathrooms. I'd give it a 6 if I could!
Amazing views, friendly staff and great food! If you’re on your way to Big Sur, stop here for lunch! If you have a designated driver get their Bloody Mary, it’s the best I’ve ever had! Crab sandwich was great too, they are very generous with the crab!
This place is hidden on the way to Big Sur, outside of Carmel; the views are amazing! If you can come for sunset the photos are phenomenal and the the views are unreal. Beautifully decorated, great friendly staff, good food and amazing drinks! LOVE the Bloody Mary and lemongrass martini!!!!
We had a lovely late lunch on Easter Sunday at Rocky Point Restaurant. Natalie had the crab salad sliders and I had the fish sandwich. The food was delicious and plentiful and the service was friendly and fast. The views are spectacular and breathtaking. Pictures don’t do it justice. The restaurant is updated and landscaping is gorgeous. I’d definitely recommend this as a must try. They even have picnic tables where you can bring your own and just enjoy the views.
