Great place!! Even though they were busy, our server managed to keep pace. They didn't have my friends' preferred Bulliet Rye but they did have regular Builliet as a perfect substitute (which was impressive considering it's a Tequila bar). They also didn't put any pressure on us to get out of there even through we stayed long after closing time. Thanks for providing exempary service!!

Amazing from start to finish. A well deserved meal after a marathon. The salsa, chips, guacamole, margaritas and my meal were all scrumptious.

Had the blackened fish of the day, it was Mahi mahi on a bed of coconut rice and sauteed spinach... An absolute triumph!!!

It's always a treat to eat there. If it's 4 people or 20 they take good care of you. And we had 10 kids so that can be a test but the kids were very good. It was a birthday and Mothers Day and first communion combined. We try to eat there as often as we can.

I have to give it two thumbs WAY UP for service, food, atmosphere and fun! Winter it's warmer inside, but if you come spring/summer/fall, the patio is perfect for a cold beer or margarita. Be careful of ordering a large tho, you might need help from your friends (it's a 32 ouncer)!

Wow! What a great find. Thanks Urbanspoon! My whole family enjoyed the experience. Great atmosphere. Kids meals were great, and our buritos where wonderful. Did I mention that Stella's on tap. :). We were there for a Sunday lunch, and the live entertainment was a nice added feature. Wait staff was tentative and very friendly.

It has been a while since last time I've dined in for lunch. Finally back for late lunch with family. Same atmosphere but less crowded meaning less noise 😉. The fajita combo we had this time around was just so-so, same goes with the Margarita. The TJ taxi however is real delight 😊

It’s an icon. During busy tourist times it’s packed. The rest of the time it’s a locals jewel. Last Saturday morning of every month is Cars and Coffee. Best free car show on the West Coast!!

Really great place for Mexican food in Carmel Valley. We came on a Tuesday afternoon and were seated right away. Our server Angel was absolutely phenomenal, so kind and polite. He even took a photo for us as well. Huge shoutout to him!!! Everything came out pretty fast, and all the food was tasty. I would definitely come again just based on the service alone.

The Chilli Relleno is the best I've ever had. Get it ala-carte for the best experience! The margaritas are also Legit!

Fun destination restaurant in Carmel Valley. It has a really cool vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside on the patio where there were several long communal style tables and a few smaller tables along the perimeter. We started with a couple of margaritas ($15 each). I got the original, which doesn't have sugar. It was tart, delicious and refreshing. We also ordered the chips, salsa ($4) and small guacamole ($8). Chips and salsa were really good, but the guacamole was off in texture, taste and spice level. My husband ordered the steak fajitas and he said they were okay. I had the blackened burrito with prawns and chicken. It was okay as well, but needed spice so I got a side of habanero sauce. I would go back but maybe for drinks and appetizers and will skip the guacamole.

Ambience was very good. restaurant was made of all different car racing photos and statues. We are vegetarian so they kindly customize dishes as per our choice

Interior and exterior seating both have great atmosphere for opposite reasons! The food is always spot on and the mixed drinks are great. Their prices are medium to high for Mexican food, but it's a great restaurant every which way.

A little expensive but LARGE portion sizes that all tasted great. Come out when you are hungry. Pretty busy with a lot of decoration. My biggest issue was the lighting was super dark making it hard to read the menu.

Great food and great service, where locals like to eat and drink. There is live music in the outside dining area between 6:00 and 9:00 on Thursdays. So you have to decide if you want loud and rowdy or quieter and pleasant. Inside dining is darker, which of course can have its purpose. We arrived at 3:45 just in time to order lunch. We sat outside in the sunshine, trees, flowers and birds, and enjoyed it immensely.

The vibe is great. We were able to bring our dog inside which was excellent. I would make a reservation we went at like 5pm and by 630 it was packed. They have a bar area as well Chips and salsa were great and the chipotle bean dip. Friends who go to the area say it’s excellent and I agree. 2 appetizers. 3 plates chips and salsa and I drink was about 150$ with tip. But in Monterey not bad.

Food is consistently great, portions are generous. Highly recommend the cochinita pibil. Good cocktail menu. Service has always been attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is automobile memorabilia/roadhouse chic.

Always a good time. Great ambiance. My new favorite dish: Monterey Bay Quesadilla with prawns and artichoke. The dill dipping sauce was amazing. Couldn't finish it, because of the complementary chips and salsa that were served before the meal were too good to pass up.
