While up in Grand Rapids over the holidays, a big part of the family went to breakfast to celebrate my grandmother’s 93rd birthday (clearly my kind of my celebration!) at the Sundance Grill & Bar. Sundance has two locations around Grand Rapids; we visited the one on 28th Street. The grill and bar features breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a Mexican-theme running throughout the menu. All in big portions, colorful plating, and with decent seasoning. A fun place to fill up with a hearty breakfast if you’re in GR.
Yummy yummy yummy, quick and delicious! First time in Grand Rapids and will defiantly come back here! Thanks for a great visit, our entire team loved it!
Cilantro chicken enchiladas were great, excellent service by Samantha.
Place not bad. Got nachos to start, hot and salsa and guacamole was good. Mahi fish tacos were good. Order was plenty for lunch (huge portions). I did substitute fries for the rice. Would go back! My personal tainting would be a B+.
Very good comfort food, excellent service!!!
Awesome!. Have been several times now and love it. Service and food has been excellent. Love the omlettes and potatoes! Highly recommend.
Sundance Grill. The Sundance was great!! My friends and I had fast, friendly service!! I had the Perch Reuben and it was delicious, I strongly suggest you and your friends try it! They have a great section outside so you can enjoy the nice weather!!
Not the Usual.... I went this past weekend. I have been going here for years but this time I was disappointed. I ordered the Park City Combo but it came with a ton of diced tomatos. This made it kid of watery and a little cold. Also the cheese was half melted. It was OK but not the same quality I enjoyed in the past.
I still enjoy going there and I don't think one bad trip will make me stop going.
Food was good but could have been a little hotter. The service was a little slow when I went and it wasn't that busy. Decent value for your $.
Been here for dinner and breakfast. As far as dinner is concerned seems to be a lack of imagination on specials. The downtown location is better for that. Don't get me wrong dinner is always excellent - just no imagination.
Breakfast is always good- fresh squeezed orange juice is a must.
Reuben is great fast and friendly
Omelets are the tops!. They have the most delicious omelets and breakfast fare! I love the jam that comes with the toast. Also, personally, I love their coffee... especially the hazlenut. But then again I'm sure anyone who knows a thing about coffee would dismiss the reviewer below since they said they should stop at Starbucks... lol
Fresh Food. Sundance (both locations) always impresses me because the ingredients are always fresh and it really comes thru in the food. The breakfast foods in particular are terrific.
Great place for any meal. We came here for Father's Day breakfast. I tried the Mimosa flight-best choice. Husband had BLT bloody with side car of beer. Our server, Ada, was very nice and very attentive. Breakfast was delicious. No wait to be seated. Great for families as well.
Loved the patio! Pancakes amazing, best I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time! Mimosa Flight & BLT Bloody Mary were awesome.
Love, love love! This was our first time at this location, but it was no disappointment. Same great service, food, and atmosphere. Mimosas were on point, per usual. And the food was fresh, delicious, and fulfilling. We will be back, to any location. Recommend for breakfast and/or brunch in particular.
Delicious food and service was exceptional. I ordered a coffee and instead of bringing just a mug where you typically have to ask for a refill, they bring a mini pot. A small thing but a nice touch. There is a nice outdoor seating area with umbrellas in the event there is too much sun. The place has a nice indoor atmosphere as well. Will definitely go back.
We were pleasantly surprised by this hole-in-the-wall small restaurant in Cascade area. We were looking for a breakfast/lunch stop that was hopefully economical while we were out for appointments.
This place has great quality and affordable prices.
From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were attended to, but not overly so.
The food was beautifully displayed, bursting with amazing flavors, ample portions (didn't even have to season anything with salt or pepper), and friendly atmosphere.
We left feeling better than when we came in and made a decision that we have to come back sometime soon.
Check it out you will not be disappointed!!!
Kelsey is the reason we came back for dinner for our second night in a row! She is an amazing individual who shows genuine concern for our dining experience and made sure our experience was too notch! She remembered us on our second night here too and what we ate and drank the day prior! Thank you for the wonderful experience!!
Swift, attentive service from mads! They were so great and my drinks never ran empty and the food came out very quickly amazing service!
Busy during Sunday morning brunch but not bad really! Delicious foods with a feast variety. Loved the mimosa flights!
I hit Sundance for a quick breakfast. I wanted something basic: eggs, meat, potatoes, and toast. That would have cost $10.50. So...wow.
I got the Acapulco skillet instead for $11. It was great! They dropped off a carafe of coffee which I like. Self service!
Speaking of which, my server wasn’t particularly friendly. She wasn’t unfriendly- simply going through the motions.
But my order was right, the food came out fast, so I was content.
I like Sundance, but you won’t find cheap breakfast here. Atmosphere is decent, service is serviceable, so you could do worse.
Great place to eat. Food was delicious, my bloody was actually spicy for once, and Amber our server was the sweetest. So friendly and great service. Thanks Amber!
Food was really good, mimosa was kind of strong but still good. My bf got the bacon and chorizo tacos and I got the hatch Chile pork skillet. I really recommend
Serving staff no matter how busy don't skip a beat. They are always fast and efficient in taking care of you.
The service was terrific from the hostess station to our server. The food is excellent, great menu choices, even for our grandkids.
Delicious breakfast and fabulous pumpkin pancake. Nice warm and cozy atmosphere. Great service. Highly recommend.
BEST MEALS WE HAVE HAD IN OCER 10 YEARS! THANKS for Making and Ole Couples Decade!
Samantha was very patient with us when we didn’t know what we wanted to order. Samantha also told us about the happy hour specials and you best believe we got the egg rolls which were on special. I had my coat off but It was kind of cold so I put my coat back on. There was some sort of sweet sauce in the bacon Avacado omelette that I wasn’t totally into, would recommend the sauces on the side. Very chill place and you can’t go wrong with the happy hour specials. Samantha mentioned to us out of towners cool places to go to and visit and that was super helpful and awesome of her to do. Also awesome that we can get on letters at 4:15pm!!
Stopped in because I was staying close by and I’m glad I did. The tacos were great ! Samantha was my server and she really took care of me! I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in town ❤️
Thanks for a couple great experiences while I stayed in Grand Rapids for vacation! Great service & amazing tasting food made me feel like I was in my own kitchen. I had cinnamon french toast which has so much flavor that I am willing to forget that the texture could have been better (was soggy) - the water tasted good or I couldnt detect it was from tap. Yummy syrup, and the bacon & eggs were good. I also had a BYO omelette & somehow an ingredient was missed but wow again the omelette had so much flavor I didn't really care. You didn't charge me for the miss and offered a $5 off next time I visit. So Thank You, Keep up the greatness & I am looking forward to visiting in the fall.
This was the second time I’ve been there. This time outside to accommodate a friend with a dog. Great food and service. We made a reservation just in case for 5. Thank you.
