Enjoyed at great mother's day brunch with the family. It's a small cozy place with great decor. They had a special brunch menu which was great. Everything was very delicious & service was good. Highly recommend.

We’ve been meaning to eat here for 2 years and finally made it last night. You don’t see an ostrich burger on a menu that often so I got that. So good I ate it in two bites. They have Peroni on the beer list which is the perfect summer beer. Beet & zucchini salad was fantastic. Even our 11 month old couldn’t stop eating. Slice of blackberry cheesecake was too generous. Everything was priced normal. Service was attentive and not overbearing. We had a relaxing 2 hour dinner and it was mildly busy and there was always something to eat on the table. We’ll be back!

Oh. My. Goodness. This is a fine dining experience. The talented chef creates very deep flavors out of wonderful broths, in which rest braised greens or swordfish or tender stroganoff or incredible mushroom ravioli. I'm thrilled to have found this place! We'll be back soon!!

The atmosphere is cozy and very welcoming, service is excellent and the food is off the hook! I was so excited they had a very tasty vegetarian dish and my husband enjoyed the bison. They have a great wine list and don't even get me started about the deserts.

Party of 6 (which expanded upon arriving from original 4). Was not a problem! The service was prompt and attentive. The menu pleased everyone in the party, specials (I had a soup/ sandwich with a grilled cheese special)were creative and the soups were unique and delicious. Will definitely recommend and return, perhaps for dinner.

On Christmas Eve one of the special items on the menu was "Turkey Dinner". I ordered it and had a certain imagery I mind. But when the dish arrived it was SO MUCH MORE than what I'd expected! The portobello on top of the perfectly cooked turkey breast was cleverly wrapped in a thin and delicate rice-pasta casing sealing in the natural flavors while topped with a savory sausage-type stuffing. Every bite was infused with awesome flavors! Well done Chef in preparation and creativity! The Catonsville 9 cocktail was a nice pairing for the dish.

We started with the Beet salad special and artisanal bread. It was fresh and prepped perfectly and the spreads, which are made in house, where delish! We then shared the Ribeye and the Opah (moonfish) special. I can’t put into words how perfect our food was cooked! The vegetables, risotto and entrees fit phenomenal together! And geez desert.... Pear with lotsa delicious stuff! And to top the night off Chef Kevan came out and explained the preparation with passion!!! 10 outta 10 Stars!!!!!

We had reservations for a "girls night out". We were seated right away and served our drinks quickly. While we were looking over the menu, the chef came out with a sampling of their duck fat french fries which were excellent! We ordered the calamari for a starter which came out with a sweet and spicy sauce that was awesome. I loved the Stroganoff and amaretto cake for dessert. It was a wonderful experience and can't wait to go back!

I'm a big fan of this place so far. Not your run of the mill menu and the ambiance is lovely. "From the Kettle" soups are delicious. Loved the salmon sandwich they have at lunch time. I also appreciate the focus on nutrition without compromising taste. Have been 3 times since they opened only a short while ago and would definitely recommend it.

Not only was the food really good, but Spencer our waiter was great. He had a genuinely outgoing personality, and was attentive. I got the spring rolls as an app, and they were suprisingly good. For dinner I got the ceaser salad with Salmon. That was also delicious! Will definitely return :)

My husband and I love this place! It has great ambience, fantastic food and drinks, and fair pricing. We have eaten there going on a dozen times and have not been disappointed yet! Could not be happier that they are in Catonsville!!

Had lunch there today. Charming ambiance (see pics), soft music, nice menu. Uniquely, they make @ 14 soups for lunch, which they transform to enhance their dinner entrees. I had the mushroom soup, hubby had broccoli. Mine was thick and creamy, featuring a large, tender Cremini. I prefer a milder flavor, this soup was full bodied, a bit heavily spiced for my taste. Accompanying toasted artisan bread lovely. I gave BK 4 stars since hubby loved his burger! I chose the crab cake, which had a nice texture inside and crispy outside, but was seasoned more heavily, like a West Coast version, rather than a Maryland cake featuring the sweet crab flavor. I wouldn't order it again. Both dishes were accompanied by house-made kettle chips (potato, beet, kale), crisped leek; lettuce and tomato. So while I wasn't thrilled about either of my dishes, it's obvious that they came from a very creative kitchen, so we'll try it again. Our waiter, Ryan, was excellent.

We loved everything about this place. The interior is cozy and inviting. I don't really notice decor often, but this place stood out. Great place for a date. The food was great. We split the Poke and Lettuce wraps for starters; very good. Next was an Angus beef burger with fries, cooked rare as requested. Lastly, we had.... Well I don't know what it is called, but I think it involved ice cream surrounded in frozen chocolate. Once brought to your table, a hot raspberry sauce is poured over, melting the chocolate. I don't normally like raspberry, but this was one of the best desserts I've ever had. There are a ton more items on the menu to explore, so we're going to have to go back. Repeatedly.

Atmosphere was nice, it is nice and cozy. The service was good but not stellar, server did not tell us about the daily special. Very nouveau, so don't go super hungry because portions are quite small.

Hidden gem! Food and drinks were great! Hats off to the chef and the staff! Everyone was kind, even got a chance to speak to the chef at the end of the night. Will definitely be back! My steak was like butter, so mad I forgot to take a picture lol.

I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant, and my server Ryan was very outgoing and helpful, and his enjoyment of his position was readily apparent in his enthusiasm for the restaurant and the meals. There were some good choices for vegetarians... with the top two potentials for me being the Vegetable Pot and the Vegetarian Lasagna. Wanting to have something a little more solid, I chose the lasagna. It was quite good, and densely packed with vegetables...so much so that it was a bit hard to slice with the provided dinner knife. The only thing I might have appreciated more was a bit more seasoning, as it did fall a little short in flavor..but only a little, and it did quite satisfy me. If I return to Baltimore, I intend to return and get the Vegetable Pot.

Everything was great. First time visiting. I love the atmosphere, gives you "family" feel. Our hostess, Mallory is daughter of the owners. She is FABULOUS. Bella, our waitress is currently training and did a PHENOMENAL job as well. Now for the food and beverages: I ordered the Soup/Salad/Sandwich and Booster Shot (A must HAVE). Maryland Crab Chowder soup was simply delicious, my ceasar salad tasted like another meal - beyond delicious and my prime rib sandwich. The bread was perfectly toasted and cheese and onions just added a kick. You experienced flavor in every chew. In the mood for a Cocktail, please order the Catonsville, make sure to have your camera out before it gets there. TRUST ME.

Outstanding little spot with an upscale feel to it. Burgers were incredible and the duck fat fries packed a flavorful punch. The creme brulee comes with a spun sugar topper that's both photogenic and tasty. Wait staff was attentive and helpful both in explaining menu options and taking special requests. If we weren't considering relocating to the area in the future, we are now thanks to our dining experience at Black Kettle!

A mix of casual and classy in Catonsville. A selection of over a dozen creative soups using seafood, chicken, beef and vegetable broths. Many hamburger options, along with clever twists on salads and sandwiches. You can combine soups and salad, or order a “booster shot” which combines soup, salad, sandwich and a juice shot. Crabcake is gluten-free and nontraditional. Sandwiches came with crispy beet, potato and kale chips. Friendly service and upscale atmosphere. Definitely recommend!
