Reviews Duncan’s On The Gulf

We had a party of 10 for dinner July 4th for fireworks. We were sat immediately on the patio. We asked if we could rearrange the tables and it was no problem at all. The restaurant was slammed and anything we asked for, we received. Food was good! Service was good! We will be back! Unfortunately, we had to listen to a table complain about unrealistic expectations on a such a busy night. I mean, who complains about a meal being bad, eats the entire meal AND gets upset when the cost of the meal wasn’t taken off the bill??? I’m sorry the management had to deal with that nonsense on such an extremely busy night.

One on the BEST restaurants at Cedar Key. We visit often and Duncan's will definitely be our go to place. Burgers are awesome and the fries and onion rings were wonderful. Can't wait to go back for breakfast. Oh yes, the view of the Gulf is the best!

Location has a nice view where you can see the passing boats and watch people catch fish on the local pier. Food was amazing! Hot, fresh and served reasonably fast. Server was friendly and accommodating. We wanted the dinner menu and it was to early but she made it happen. Will definitely go back. Bathrooms where clean and overall a great experience.

We arrived at about 4 PM and chose a table inside. There is also a section of the restaurant that is outdoors over the water. It looked pretty full. There is a bar downstairs. The restaurant was clean and our server was attentive and friendly. My husband and I both had the fish n chips. The fish used was Haddock and fried in a delicious beer batter. It was a very generous portion of fish and some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The tarter sauce had just the right amount of tanginess and complemented the fish well. The fries were good, but the fish was the star of the show. The sweet tea was a perfect addition to the meal. If you want a good low key restaurant right on the water with delicious food, I highly recommend Duncan’s.

We absolutely loved this place. Vickie is a fabulous server and bartender. She was doing both jobs and doing them very well. She was personable, we really enjoyed talking with her. The food was fantastic. My husband is not a real seafood person but went out on a limb and ordered the blackened mahi tacos. He was so happy he did, he loved them. I had the grouper fingers, blackened. I got the sauteed veggies as a side. I was in love, so so good. Definitely can't wait to back. Right on the water, sat and watched the gulf. You won't be disappointed in this choice.

Outdoor seating available inside a screen porch. Food was very good and cross breeze very nice. Drafts beers are on bottom floor. Top floor has bottles. Waitress was very sweet. Crab cake was very very good. Food came out fast. A little pricey but gorgeous view.

I have eaten here a few times over the past couple years. This was my first breakfast. It was excellent, but then again I am a creature of habit and always get the same thing for breakfast. Two eggs over medium, sausage patties, home fries and toast. My wife had the veggie skillet.

Fresh local raised clams. Wedge salad with their blue cheese dressing and a tropical drink 🍹. Great view from the screened balcony...watched dolphins 🐬 while I ate. So enjoyable and tasty. Sweet servers...smiling.

It was very good, the food was delicious, very tasty, the only thing I saw is that it seemed that the diners did not like that there were children at other tables, sharing with their family. But otherwise it is a very good restaurant, the one that I recommend, the attention was very good
