Our family visit to the Lighthouse Restaurant was really enjoyable. I almost say - Perfect. Everything was top rated - food, service, atmosphere. Even the wait was fine. Highly recommended.
One of the best restaurants. Staff is great, also, it is an absolute must have if you want to book a wedding or special event. Absolutely beautiful. If you like shrimp the buffalo shrimp is amazing.
This restaurant is great for weddings ad big things, but for a night out it's quite expensive!
The food was amazing! Staff was so polite! While we sat at bar to have a drink while waiting for our reservation time we were offered a complimentary appetizer because the kitchen had made an extra it was the crab dip- ill be honest it was AMAZING!! And although it was a mistake made by someone else- we were so happy to see that no food was wasted and how polite and kind the staff is ;) kudos to them for making their customers feel so welcome! I loved the mikes surprise martini and the strawberry shortcake reminded us of our fond childhood memories and was DELICIOUS!!!! Thank you for a wonderful "date night " ;)
Everything was phenomenal. When I'm reduced to breaking down silverware choices the resturant had made you know they have done a good job. The menu was slightly confusing, it reads that there is an additional $14 to add fish or chicken. Keep up the good work. I wish they had this restaurant in the metroplex. Service was great, prompt and a cut above the rest.
I love the Chelaen sea bass... best fish EVER and lobster bisque is great but only available on Saturdays! Make sure you have reservations it gets packed!
Excellent!!!. For some of the negative reviews, I would hope those people would go back and educate yourself on what you're truly missing out on!! This restaurant is the top in the area! You can tell that all the vegetables are fresh cut and not out of a frozen bag! The steaks are fresh cut and are extremely consistant and well prepared!!! Unlike, many area wanna-be steakhouses in which their steaks are inconsistant and often frozen before prepared!!! Please do your homework before writing an inconsistant review!!!

Good, not Superb. This place is trying to "classy up" Cedar Lake and be the new Teibel's of NorthWest Indiana. It comes up a bit short.
The food is great but not to brag about. I ordered the lake perch and it tasted more like deep fried than pan fried but still very good.
The service is what irks me the most from saying this is a great place.
When you walk in, you are greeted by a pair or trio of attractive blonde girls in their late teens who make you feel like trash if you're not wearing Gucci. I thought I was being judged by my appearance since my suit was not purchased on Michigan Avenue.
After we got past this issue, we were greeted by a polite server who kept our drinks full and the breadbasket restocked. I have no complaints about the servers here on my multiple visits.
After dinner, we had a nice stroll down the pier to enjoy the warm weather and humidity.
You definitely pay for the atmosphere here. Yes, the food is good and the servers are good. However, if you are not driving a Ferrari in Cedar Lake nor wearing Gucci, be prepared to be starred down by the "goddesses" acting as hostesses.

Best of the Rest of Cedar Lake. The Lighthouse is a good restaurant, considering the dearth of alternatives in NW Indiana.
It sports modern decor with a great view on the lake, though the greenish twilight belies the wonders of BP's refinery and US Steel's blast furnace to the north.
The restaurant advertises its prime steaks. I'm not convinced my steak was prime since I ordered it rare and it had not one wit of marbling in it.
The appetizer, an upscale "bloomin' onion" was greasy and the batter did not adhere to the onion.
The service was very good and attentive, without hearing the unctuous, "Everything OK?"
Attended a wedding upstairs at this venue. Very professional and friendly staff, the balcony had an absolutely breathtaking view of the lake, and I really enjoyed myself. There was another function next door, and we didn't even know until we saw the guests in the hallway. In other words, the sound insulation was great because we did not disturb each other. Even on the balcony, you heard the restaurant's music and not the party inside. Amazing! I would love to eat here. They catered the reception and everything was delicious.
Located right on Cedar Lake, this beautifully themed restaurant exceeds expectations. I have to give FOH a lot of props; in a huge space like this, it can be tough to keep track of everything, but they had their system down! The host stand communicated well with guests and sat us promptly at our reservation time.
Then, Amanda, our server, was extremely responsive, quick, and friendly. She helped us make major food choices, and the food really hit the spot. Their menu has a variety of options that all cater to a fine dining experience, but the restaurant itself doesn't seem exclusive nor uninviting.
So good :) we hope to visit again sometime!
This place is phenomenal. Pricey, but phenomenal. Cedar Lake sourced Angus is the source of the steaks.
The service? Been several times over the years and it is always excellent. If you are lucky enough to get Lauren, you will be well taken care of.
Attended the most beautiful bridal shower here today. The water views from the room were gorgeous, the food just delicious and all the employees were overly helpful. What a great time!
My family went in a couple days ago and had a great time. Food was great, especially the calamari. The service was excellent as well. our server was Dylan and he was very attentive at our table and was very friendly. he recommended the blood orange whiskey and i loved it! definitely coming back

Excellent food and service. My girlfriends and I came in for a late dinner and we ordered everything! We talked freely (naturally loud) and were treated respectfully. The restaurant was closing and we were not rushed to order or leave. The staff was fantastic and the manager even came over, spoke with us for a few and then brought us a delicious complementary dessert!!
Once we finally got up we still didn’t leave. Lol. We took some time in the lovely restroom and made videos and took pictures. This review is late (me writing this) but the service was not unnoticed and greatly appreciated!! Thanks for the great service and it making us feel uncomfortable. Will return.
Excellent food, good service and consistent every time. You may pay a little more on some items , but always worth it. They don't skimp on quality!! It is so nice to see a successful business.
