The food was fantastic!! I had the smothered porks with greens and Mac n cheese. I enjoyed my meal so much that I ended up taken a plate back home to Nebraska. Definitely worth the drive down to Cedar Rapids.
The food was fantastic and the service was great. We highly recommend trying Vivian’s to anyone who hasn’t had the pleasure of eating some good soul food. We both had the fried chicken and were in complete agreement that it was some of the best fried chicken we’ve had. Great to have a restaurant like this in Cedar Rapids... keep up the great work.
Omg this place has such good food! My and my husband tried it for the 1st time yesterday. Omg everything on your plate was delicious! Pricing is more then fair with amount of food you get. We will be coming back! We recommend this place 100%!
I danced, hummed, and made up songs all while enjoying the catfish dinner with spaghetti and collard greens. I'm from the south. So fish and spaghetti is a must! Fantastic food!
The food is simply fantastic and there is so much we always have enough for another dinner at home. Whenever we are in CR and want a place to eat, it'll be Vivians.

I saw the post about the Fried Chicken review, I didn't feel like cooking last night so we ordered for pick-up. The fried chicken and smothered chicken dinners were great - enough for dinner and the next day's lunch for both of us. The chicken was cooked just like I like it (crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside), the candied yams, yummmm...can't go wrong with a good side of collard greens and I loved their recipe for the cornbread dressing. We'll be ordering again!
Stopped in a month ago and have been craving it since. Some of the best fried chicken and breaded shrimp I have eaten. The sides were awesome...will be making another stop there again soon
I visit there about three months ago and will go there again I recommend it when you're in Cedar Rapids Iowa to visit them very delicious
You are greatly missing out if you haven’t tried Vivian’s Soul Food. I could not be happier with my experience and food was spot on. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I can’t wait to go back!

Recently tried the baby back ribs with baked Mac & cheese & greens & a Carmel cake for dessert everything was on point & taste great� definitely will get my money again
So thankful that we have this wonderful restaurant here in Cedar Rapids. Food is always fresh and service is always friendly!!! Would give 100 stars if I could. Keep serving the soul!!!!!
