Sit down meals in a fairly quiet atmosphere, newcomers welcome, but no loitering. Quality food at reasonable prices. Please add note, I have been served two meals on a chipped plate since my rating this place. And a split glass was used for my beverage once too. I would change to half a star if I was able to.

Hot food. Awesomely cooked. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Very very clean and smelled good. Wasn't fond of the bass in the radio for a family joint. But, I found my new favorite place. Wow!

We had breakfast there for the first time. We where in the area and decided to try it. My friend had the pancake & eggs & sausage. The pancake covered the dinner plate. She said the sausages were some of the best link sausage that she has had. I had the country breakfast I think it was called. Great hash browns. Plenty of food. Service was good and the prices are reasonable. We will eat there again.

It is dang good! The food is amazing, cool old school atmosphere, Michelle the waitresses is amazing and the cooks always do an awesome job, never been disappointed.
The club and biscuits and gravy are super good! My fiance loves the jalapeño burger.

I've been here several times. My dad really likes this place. It's the closest thing to a city style diner in terms of food so my dad tends to like that. The specials are generally very good. I got two pancakes, two eggs, and bacon for 6.49 which is a pretty solid deal. I would go to a place like this over denny's or ihop any day of the week. I'm giving this place 5 stars because it delivers on the quality, service, and price based on my expectations.

Nice atmosphere and the staff is really friendly. Slightly disappointed in the food because I ordered corned beef and hash and barely got any. Also my boyfriend ordered the strawberry banana split French toast and they used real bananas but used preservative strawberries. Food was good just expected better.

We have been here half a dozen times & have enjoyed it each time. The cost is reasonable, the portions are generous, the soup is always homemade, & the hot beef plate is excellent! We've never had to wait long for our meal & have had consistently friendly & attentive service! It's one of our favorite places to eat! �

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. We walked in and was greeted by a friendly waitress. When she came to take our order we told her that we wanted the breakfast special that was on the board beside the door and she was waiting for us to place another order and we let her know that we would be sharing that special. When the order was brought to us it was in two separate plates and we were very surprised but happy about it. However when the bill came we were not happy because they had charged us an extra $2.50 to split the meal. Had we ASKED that the meal be split it wouldn't have been a big deal. Ric went up to ask about it and the person behind the register was extremely rude. Ric decided to pay the bill so that we could just leave. The guy then accused Ric of throwing the pen back at him. It didn't happen.
We will not go back there again.

If it wasn’t for the nice wait staff I’d rate it 0 stars. Went for breakfast. Got the veggie omelet and it was cold and filled with raw veggies. Only the mushrooms had been cooked. The rye toast was swimming in butter. The kids said the pancakes were okay but they’ve had better.
The tables we were at were so wobbly we kept spilling hot coffee and hot tea. It was very frustrating to even eat.
Another thing was they were out of bananas and instead of telling people this when they ordered the Strawberry Banana French Toast they waited till they brought it out and said “Is this okay? We are out of bananas.”
Another table ordered it as well and after the waitress walked away she said “Why didn’t she tell me when I ordered?” They knew as they ordered after we got our food and were told. Small details.
We will not be returning.

I am not a regular but like to visit every couple of months. I have met Mikey while there a couple of times. He really seems like a genuine person who has a passion for food. He puts his own spin on recipes and they may sound a little different but always taste great. I had an issue once with my order not being correct but they fixed it quickly. I understand people can be very rude to restaurant staff as I have read the other reviews. If you don't voice your problem, how can they fix it?

If you are looking for an AMAZING burger- try the "Iowa Burger" at Mikey's! 1/4 or 1/2 lb burger hand pattied, with bacon, cheese & egg!! Be prepared to fall in love! ...And if you're in the mood for breakfast- the pancakes are outstanding! Great food, great owner! Love this place�
