You can find Chong Qing Hot Pot in the China Town Mall at 5385 New Peachtree Rd, Atlanta, GA 30341. China Town Mall is tucked away off of New Peachtree Rd - I've generally heard the area referred to as Chinatown but that may be due to the mall's location - there are other Chinese businesses in about a one mile radius, but I don't know if the local population warrants the name - I think it's more about the businesses.

First Time Eating Hot Pot at a Restaurant. I've had Hot Pot with some Chinese friends, but I have never had it at a restaurant (much less a food court style restaurant). It was an awesome first experience, though, and I will DEFINITELY be going back for more. The only thing is they only take cash or check (no cards).

The broth for hotpot was REALLY good. It wasn't too salty or too rich. It was literally the perfect broth for hotpot. My friend and I got seafood/beef hotpots. The meats were soft and succulent. Nothing was overcooked, and we actually saw the owner cut up everything fresh. The bowls are STUFFED with meats and veggies. It almost looked like it might overflow. If you want rice or soup to start off your meal, it is all you can eat, and self-serve. You just grab a bowl and eat as much rice/egg drop/sour soup as you want to. We also ordered the steamed dumplings, which were very juicy and soft. They came out steaming too. I love it when my food comes out piping hot!

For two huge bowls of hotpot and a large plate of dumplings, I paid about $35 or less (that included tip). It was totally worth the money, especially since I'm sure my friend and I ate half the pot of rice/soup before getting our main courses... We were hungry! LOL.

Dan Dan Noodles. I love these noodles. I'm not sure what exactly is in them, but it is very tastly and filling. I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to spicy foods (medium salsa is about as high as i go) so I ordered these noodles "not spicy." This specification resulted in noodles at the top of my heat limit, but still edible. You also get a ton of noodles for very little money.
