Attentive server (Candace). Friendly support staff. They all seemed happy to be there.
Welcoming environment and fun decor. There is even bar seating for the solo diner.
Well-portioned food servings with delectable taste. Even the decaffeinated coffee was not bitter-tasting.

We ate breakfast at Black Bear Diner's Chandler location. My wife ordered a California Omelette and I had the Meat Lover's Omelette. The total for two people to eat breakfast was $36.61. Our server was courteous and the food was delivered in reasonable time. Our food was delicious and the serving sizes were generous. As we were eating, our server offered to refill my wife's coffee, however, at no point did she offer to refill my glass of Pepsi. It did not affect my day, but as a matter of principle, one would think that if one person at a table is offered a drink refill, everyone at the table should be offered a drink refill.
Great Food, had a couple issues, due to being unstaffed. Received compliment desserts due to wait time. Staff very friendly. Large portions and well worth the price. Looking forward to visiting again.

I've never been to Black Bear Diner that I haven't liked and the Chandler location is no exception. Great service, food was delicious, and it was in the perfect spot for our weekend visiting friends in the area. If we're in that neck of the woods again we'll definitely be eating here.
Just had Thanksgiving dinner at Black Bear Diner-Chandler and it was fantastic. Great food, Great value and Great Service! Our server was Katherine and she was also great. Thanks to all those working today (Thanksgiving Day) to give us a great meal! We are Thankful!
Second time in, such a nice find of a breakfast place. I left stuffed after having a huckleberry shake, eggs, country potatoes and corned beef hash, with a split plate of blueberry bear claw French toast... which was the reason I came back, sooo good. The place can get busy when everyone comes in at once, so be patient.
Stopped in here in a whim with my buddy who was craving bacon and eggs. The hostess, not sure her name, was super friendly and made us feel right at home.
Our server Jeanie (not sure if that's the correct spelling), was awesome! She delivered an exceptional customer service experience through her personality, sense of humor, and attentiveness... In all honesty, I would go back just to say hello Jeanie!
The food was good, however, I was a little bummed that the biscuit was a roll rather than an actual biscuit. Other than that, the eggs were tasty, the hash browns were great, and I really enjoyed their Papa Bear Hot Sauce.
I will definitely be coming back!
I had my second date with my now husband of 3 years here. He had a plain burger with sweet potato fries. He shared his fries with me and they were the best
Service was excellent.. the food took a while for a sandwich and fries considering the fact they weren't busy busy. Overall, I enjoyed my chicken avocado club.. quite tasty. Love the decor and environment was inviting.
Wife said the pancakes were flour tasting. Certainly can't beat Denny's pancakes. I had chicken fried steak, it was okay, I've had better. Waitress and the floor manager were awesome!
Service was top notch... prompt, friendly, and caring. The classic eggs Benedict was pretty good, although not the best I've ever had (I am fussy about the taste of hollandaise sauce).
Lots of comfort food with good portions. Big menu, and free soft drink refills. Omelets excellent. Lots of fried chicken, but with salads and soups. Priced about average. Lots of free parking in Arizona.
Came into town for work for a few days and ended up eating here every single day. Food is absolutely delicious. Pancakes are out of this world.
Price point is great for the quality and amount of food you get.
Wonderful night out with my friend. We had a delicious meal and just talked. Our server Lisette was awesome. She helped with our menu choices, was very friendly and refilled our drinks often. Food was hot and delicious. We will definitely go back soon.
