This place was great! We went during the lunch hours. Greeted as soon as we got to the host stand. Our waitress was nice and seemed up beat and generally happy to be there, which is always a good sign. We had a couple questions and she answered knowledgeable and even gave us a recommendation of something that wasn't on the menu. Tacos were great and everything else paired really well. In terms of cost, it was fair $4-$6 per taco. They had a few other things on the menu as well. But if you're looking for a great experience and really good quality food for a decent price, this is a place you need to visit 👍🏼

Sean Brock's taco joint is a delight to your taco loving senses. The chips are insane and the salsa is amazing. The rice and fresh refried beans will also almost make you forgot about how amazing the tacos are. Cool vibe and worth the trip for any taco lover

This burrito was the best burrito I have ever had. It was full of cheese and had roasted poblanos in it. I got it with pork which was also very tasty. The salsas were unique but none of them were amazing.

Vegan / Vegetarian / Gf options! Was really excited to be able to order off the menu. I had a good Margarita and tried the Cauliflower and Crispy Tofu tacos both were delicious 👌 It's not gourmet/ best Mexican food you'll ever have but this place is exactly what it says. It's no frills, quick bites, reasonable prices! Service was great, extra plus!

Food and drinks were great. Best tortilla chips (housemade I think) I've had in a while. The cauliflower tacos were soo unexpectedly good! Unexpected since the cauliflower florets were grilled and fried while I was expecting half-cooked cauliflower like I get in most places lol. The refried beans (Vegan) and rice were yummy. Not a fan of broccoli but the cheese on the broccoli salad made it very much palatable.

Delicious....I love the Guacamole and chips. The wings are out of this world. The steak taco platter is the best. Love this place.

Stopped in for a quick meal and this place was great! We sat at the bar and ordered food but the service was excellent as well as the food and drinks. I had a couple tacos and they were very, very good! I will be back if I'm in the area again. The drink was as described and was great!

Awesome food! Please order the wings. They were delicious. Another thing to order is Tecate ashtray style...hot sauce and chili powder on top of your beer can. Grilled steak was on point. Highly recommend!

Overall the place was good. The drinks were great, wings are absolutely delicious. I could have eaten those all night. Meal was a little disappointing but it could have just been my selection. If you're looking for a good Mexican place, check it out!

Amazing celiac restaurant! Tested gluten free with Nima. Loved so much that I returned again to dine there. Waitress was quick to share that someone had accidentally contaminated the oil, so chips were not celiac safe. So relieved to know this information. What a wonderful restaurant!

The taste of Oaxaca is there! The research and travel is in the kitchen. Their corn tortillas were signature and the rule to a great taco starts with its tortilla! Moist, thick and slightly spotted chard. It doesn't get better then that. My tecate was cold tall and well groomed with a ton of lime juice sea salt and bloody marry mix. It could of been my dessert alone but it this case it was my thirst buster and delicous meal shotgun. I ordered the pork carnitas, a little dry but I am all about the burnt ends anyways, all the slow cooker flavor is there. All of our ordered dishes were not salted down. I liked that. They indigenous flavoring was there for the taking. The tostada chips were $! Mixed with color cooking times and crisp at every bite. Not one stale or gummed from oil soaking. The guacamole was on the spot mashed out. No darken sitting color and without the fermenting tangyness. Bravo!
Definitely a good eats must try.
Stay consistent and this place will become a generational staple in Charleston.

Stumbled up the steps after seeing a margarita sign. Was worried why are why going up the first Mexican restaurant after leaving the museum. But this place was perfect. First the Margarita was one of the best I have had sailing all over Florida this winter on Dragon's Lairs big sail from Florida to Wisconsin. But then the food was just very elevated. Small portions for the tacos with huge flavor. My friend who got the burrito found it huge and couldn't finish it if your looking for a larger meal. Overall the menu is smallish but highly perfected.
The Bartender was also a very proud citizen of the city and really answered a lot of questions and made us feel welcome for our late lunch!

Cool spot for some southern American style Mexican. Although it's not authentic Mexican it's still Mexican themed with a twist. The food was great. Hoppin John is a must try the Brocolli is done right. Michelada's are ok but it's hard to find a good one of those now a days. Mezcal margarita is worth a try as well. The queso fundido is quite good!

Best Margarita ever and smooth tequila shot flight with delish guacamole and house made chips.

Good Mexican is probably not what comes to mind when you of Charleston, but Minero can change that opinion for you.
We all started out with some Margaritas and some appetizers. The spicy margarita is just spicy enough without going too far. Everything from the guac to queso to salsa were all excellent.
The real crowd pleasers were the tacos. I ordered the Fried Catfish, Al Pastor, and the Carnitas. All of the lm were good but the catfish stood out above the rest. The catfish taco blended Charleston and Mexican cultures perfectly.
Always a fun time at Minero!
