The staff makes the great food even better! We loved our server and we were so impressed with management.
I always love this Mellow Mushroom! The staff is great and the pizza is always the best. My most favorite pizza...AND greek salad in Charleston.
I went in today right after they opened, had the whole restaurant to myself, and several people stopped by to see if I needed anything. My waiter, Jake, was great! On top of everything before I even needed it!

Listen, I never write reviews but Nicole is literally the best bartender I've had. She remembered my food order after one time and always has a new beer to recommend to me. It's become my boyfriend and I's favorite happy hour spot!

We had my daughter's 16th birthday party on the balcony last night, and everyone had a wonderful time!! The staff was so attentive, especially our server James. The food was delicious and out quickly. Our whole experience was perfect, and I can't recommend them enough!!
Our favorite place for pizza! Holy Shitake is the way to go Service is always great but the past few times we have had Kyle as our server and he is AWESOME! The kids even request him
The service is excellent and the servers are very attentive. Not only does the hostess greet you ever time you come in, but the staff will as well walking in the door. Every server/bartender seems to know the beer list and how they taste pretty well. Servers and bartenders will state their name and ask about your day. Being a secret shopper in the past, they pass any checklist i have used with other restaurants. Hats off to mellow mushroom.
As always, the food was delicious. Anne was our server and she was great! She was very personable and professional. We can't wait to go back.
The best of all mellow mushroom locations. Staff, ambience is just amazing. And the food, as always with ms, is great. Will keep on coming to this location and advise everyone to try this.
I have celiac disease....like severe celiac & it sucks! I miss gluten & miss going out to eat! We ventured out for my bday weekend (nervous I would get sick, but really wanting to go out & relax) and the waitress was soooo knowledgable about the importance of avoiding cross contamination, etc! The pizza was AMAZING! Thank you to having such knowledgable staff & delicious choices! We truly enjoyed it!

We come here often and always find the service, food and beer superb. However tonight, our service was outstanding...inspiring me to write a review. Thank you to Katherine! She was incredibly attentive and turned mellow into a fine dining service...all while sipping a draft beer and watching the game. Well done!
By far our favorite Mellow Mushroom to visit. Not just because we live near it, but because we have been to many others in and out of town and they just do not compare to the atmosphere, staff and service Avondale Mellow provides. Cheers Mellow Avondale!

I can't say enough good things about the Avondale MM, and more specifically, Rachel! She was so awesome when I came in with a gaggle of rowdy kids in tow. She smiled as she helped us with everything we needed. Thank you! We will definitely be back! :-)
We ordered their veg out pizza and veg calzone. The pizza was great and the calzone was okay. We liked the set up and the mural paintings on the bar. The setup is more like a cinema lobby. However there was water dripping from duct overhead. Hence four stars. The bar is okay. The service was lagging.
I have been to a few Mellos Mushroom locations but this one has the best atmosphere. The booths were spacious and service was great! We had a limited time to eat before an event and the waiter was on point in taking care of us. The cocktails are pricey for what you get but the pizza and other entrees were good.
We ordered the House pizza and meatballs. I liked the red sauce and the toppings were great and fresh. I wasn't excited about the gluten free crust, it was not hand tossed, dry, hard, super thin and tasteless. Our service was rather slow. We didn't go in at a busy time so wasn't quite certain why that happened. Apps came fairly quickly, but our pizzas took forever. When the couple we were with got served we were informed us that ours had melted in the oven and they had to remake it. 🤷♀️ So... we waited again the normal amount of time, that it takes them to make a 10" pizza. When ours finally arrived, the couple we were with had already completed their dinner and we're ready for the bill. Not the greatest experience for our first time there, but I get things happen...
The design of the place is fantastic!! Very high ceiling and lots of space. Seems like an old cinema. The food was great too! I wish the waiting time is better. Pricing is awesome too, by the way.

Loved this place. Excellent gluten free pizza and the salads are delicious. Funky atmosphere, friendly service. Bar area with multiple tv screens to watch sports and enjoy a drink. Lots of comfortable seating.
I wish I could remember the bartender's name because he was #awesome. Remember he was a transplant from Asheville, NC. GREAT GUY. We love Mellow Mushroom pizza and this place did NOT disappoint.

The waitress was very pleasant she was also the bartender, and busy as she was she was very sweet and mannerable ,but the Manager was rude and disrespectful It's a restaurant for all, and all should be treated the same. It was all because I ask a question regarding our order we'd been waiting on over 45 mins she answered with a smart remark, kept disregarding our table, and checking on other customers right behind us, in a taunting kinda way walking past with a smirk and just down right extremely rude, and still didn't answer what I ask in a very respectful way.
I was there with my daughter before she goes off to college and this manager was out of line, but I can say it taught my daughter a value lesson, it also made her grateful that she has parents that raised her to be respectful to people, and it humbled me. Yes.... I'm African American. How I handle this problem I forgave this young lady and I'm praying for her. Peace and love to all! I pray she doesn't run your Ethnic customers off!

Great place to come chill and get some tasty food. Usually sit at the bar with Amber, she is always a wonderful bartender/ server!
Good food and nice beer selection and a great choice if the gang wants pizza and you'd prefer a salad.
The only place that close after 10pm (kitchen close 11pm) we almost had nothing to eat for dinner. Luckily you were open. Chicken wing was soooooo amazing. We almost cry (with Thai chili sauce). The service was superb. Thank again.
