We arrived around 1:30pm to place our order and were informed the wait was 25 minutes. We left almost one hour later. It is a small takeout restaurant and was rather busy. We received additional sides because our orders were incorrect - my advice: check before leaving the restaurant. I was a little disappointed in the garlic butter shrimp and crab leg... for $35, it was underwhelming. The shrimp was cooked too long and the crab legs weren't properly cleaned before being cooked. The garlic butter had seeped below the foil and luckily didn't spill before making it back to the hotel. There was one container of sauce included but no salad dressing. The fried shrimp and flounder dinner was really good but the one piece of fish was very small. My daughter enjoyed the lemon pepper wings. The mac and cheese was delicious. The potato salad was good but I prefer more mustard. I was searching for a building like the images online but the restaurant is in a suite... I passed it and had to make a u-turn.

We spent 4 days in Charleston on our first trip here and ate out every meal. All of the other restaurants, although they offered great ambiance, were very high in price. We found this "hole in the wall" on our way out of town and all agree we wish we would have found it our first day here. The fresh made from scratch seafood was the best we've had in years. The portions were unbelievable and this meal cost half of all the others we ate while here. My daughter said the garlic crab legs are the best she's ever had and we all agree the fried shrimp is second to none. I bet there were 15 shrimp in my daughter's shrimp entree that also came with a salad and fries for only $11.50. The shrimp were massive, deveined and cooked to perfection. You may want to carry out since this place is very small with only 3 tables and you order from the counter, but how else could food this good be so affordable? We will definitely make this our first stop on any future trip to Charleston!!!

Garlic crab is most impressive! Drenched is a dynamic rich, spicy delectable sause that's not over the top. It's soul food at its finest. The place is generally a bit sticky and gritty, but the people are kind and bake great food. The pineapple lemonade is also worth the experience. Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz

A very small place with few places to sit but a spirited lady behind the counter serving up UberEats and some other customers. Most of the fare is fried seafood. I got the fried shrimp and some sort of crab thing with fries and it was yummy. Lots of sauce.

this is my first time in Charleston South Carolina and I did a Google search for crab legs. Nana's seafood & soul showed up and showed out! This food is very very tasty. I love crab legs and this is the first time I've ever had them fried. I really enjoyed them. I also recommend the pineapple lemonade! I love pineapple and I love lemonade but never put them together, this is such a great creation!

Just a little dive place with excellent food. Great for take out. The only reason 4 stars was the wait. We ordered and we seemed to have to wait longer than persons who ordered after us. Recommend calling ahead. But will definitely eat there again.

Awesome but be prepared to take it to go. Just 3 tables inside. Also if you're seeking the shrimp and crab Cajun rice good luck. You can only get it Fri and Sat, and then it's not a guarantee. Still a great value over all.

I had lunch here for the first time today. I dropped $60 but I can appreciate a BOB that is serving awesome food. I had the shrimp and oysters plate. My food was awesome and I watched Netflix in the dining area. This restaurant is essentially a carry out spot; there are only 3 small tables, a restroom and a couple of chairs for waiting. It's also the 1st time I had pineapple tea which is lip smacking good... refills will cost. The garlic blue crabs have some kick but OMG is that meat good. I will be back for lunch and would recommend this spot for the same. It's in an unassuming location with street parking only.

This place was AWSOME! It was very clean. Even though there was one person at the front register, she did not panic or rush our order. Our food was fresh as expected and well worth the trip!

I found a new seafood place that serve food with a home cooked feel. I'm glad they were open today and had the opportunity to try their food. It was delicious especially the Krispy Kreme waffle donut extra yummy.

Picture tiny mom and pop shop in the south with a breezy interior and the smell of seafood spices. The food was delicious. The line was (understandably) long but the food was worth the wait. Seating is limited so if you’re from out of town and are staying nearby take your food to-go. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I am so upset that I am from Charleston, come to Charleston regularly for visits AND get FB notifications from Nana's and this is my FIRST time eating here! 😢 We absolutely LOOOVE the food! We ate in & ordered the 2 Red Snapper dinners hubby had potato salad & macaroni & I had 2 sides of macaroni. The pineapple tea is delicious 😋. We had to order 2 Red Snappers to go to take home. Even reheated the next day the fish is still delicious! We will definitely be a repeat customers!

I would go once a week if I still lived in Charleston. The garlic shrimp & crab are great! Their fried seafood is not the usual low-country batter. It's cornmeal which is good for a change. I love their pineapple tea.

I've been wanting to get over to try Nana's Geechie-Gullah cusine since discovering the on Google. The menu is simple, but plentiful on the portion serving size. Don't except a red carpet, it is a "TAKE OUT" spot with it's simple low country seafood dishes at a great price. Parking on the street.

Decided to try something small and local. Food looks amazing. Brittaney is the best. She was extremely helpful. We order the seafood platter, fried lobster, and bread pudding.

Delicious! I had the tilapia burger with fries and pineapple tea. Everyone in the restaurant was talking about the pineapple tea as it is so good!
