Betty Lou's Bistro - Charleston - Photo album

Always our first choice when we drive out to Charleston. Food is always awesome, truffle fries and mushrooms risotto with scallops are my favorite appetizer and dish from Betty Lou’s. Feels like mom food, cozy and tasty.
Small laid back place with kind of a small menu, but man everything on it is phenomenal! My main regret is not getting more photos and not eating enough! The service was great as well. Definitely a must eat place if you’re looking for good southern cooking In a nice relaxed environment. Makes you fe
Cute - hidden gem kinda place with really good food. We had a party of 6 so we got this huge table in the middle of the restaurant, which was neat! We got the scallops, burger, and steak and they were all great! Highly recommend for a date night or a unique place to take family from out-of-town.
A cute place with great atmosphere!! Discovered on google search. The fried brussel sprouts were sublime! Service was great with a reasonable time for food prepartion. The small plate was a good meal size. Fried seafood was very lightly breaded.
What wonderfully delightful bistro! I have been here a few times now and I truly enjoy the food and taste. The service is great, the food is excellent, and portions are perfect. Betty Lou's is not a large place and depending on when you get there you may have a small wait. Everytime I've been
This was my first time dinning at the restaurant. I was impressed a little. I got there around 11:32AM. The environment was clean. The female server was super friendly and professional. The food was tasty and hot. I will try them again at a different time to see if they are consistent. Thanks
Everything was fantastic! I had the shrimp and flounder platter, it was delicious. The hushpuppies were some of the best I've ever had. My husband had the burger and it was one of the best burgers, it has this sweet taste to it that just makes it perfect. We had the blueberry cobbler and chocolate l
Stopped into Betty Lou’s while in town. Hands down one of the best dinners we had all week! The menu isn’t huge but every single thing on it is guaranteed to please. Absolutely the freshest high quality ingredients are used in every dish. Give Betty Lou’s a try! It’s sure to please!
Delicious food and big portions! The fried pork chop was the size of my head. Our server was super friendly and very attentive. We will be back for date night again.
It was my first time to try the much raved about South Carolina she crab soup. It was delicious! We had the fried green tomatoes with pimento and cheese. I don't like goat cheese, but it was not over powering the pimento and cheddar. My husband had the Betty Lou Burger and enjoyed it. They do h
April 2021 2nd visit. Wife tagged along and had fried pork chops. She said they were great.. Noticed 90 day dry aged ribeye was on the special menu. Sandy said its normally on the special menu, but may not be available due to local availability Jan 2021 Had car trouble and whilst I was waiting for
My wife and I are in Charleston for a film festival and we were looking for a restaurant with healthy food near our hotel. We found Betty Lou's Bistro in West Ashley and we were surprised how amazingly good the food was. We had their Pimento Goat Cheese with Baguette Bread as an appetizer and for ou
WOW....This side of West Ashley really needed this kind of place! The food is fantastic, fresh and made from scratch, full of flavor. The drinks were served cold and flavorful (they have a full bar). Service was excellent and waitress quickly let us know daily specials and answered our questions. Yo
Great food, great drinks, great service! Only downside is the limited seating. We had a family dinner here, so we had to make reservations. The menu seems a little limited at first glance, but once you begin perusing, you'll likely struggle to pick one thing to order! I had the Chai Mule and Shrimp
It was outstanding. I had the mussels for starter and the sauce was so delicious. Then I had the seared mussels with the creamy mushroom risotto. It was delicious. The scallops were seared perfectly. Will definitely be back!
Excellent! Scallops seared perfectly, hubby's burger on point and sister's fried pork chop was delicious! Chris was attentive and friendly... His sister, Kat, was awesome! Realized they also own Avondale Wine and cheese... Of course they do! Fine folk, relaxing atmosphere and great sense of humor-
