This has been on the list of places to go in Charlotte for a while. I was just waiting on the right occasion and I wasn't disappointed. The bartenders were friendly and fast. The food was prepared timely. The overall experience was good. I will definitely go back as there were plenty of dishes that sounded good but I couldn't order them all. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Finally made it here to try the $5 burger special! Details: Mon-Fri from 5-6:30 pm in the bar area. $5 double patty “smash” burger and fries It’s a good burger! The patties aren’t smashed thin enough to be a true smash burger. The fries could have been crispier, so next time I’ll be sure to request “extra crispy”

We had a lovely dinner here for our 9yo’s birthday. Our server Sean was very nice and professional. The shrimp appetizer was tasty but the sauce was a bit too salty. My husband and I split the market salad, which Sean brought to the table on two plates. We ordered the ribeye and filet mignon and subbed a different vegetable for the potatoes on both entrees. Both steaks were perfectly cooked. The chocolate espresso ganache cake was very rich and delicious. My 9yo son loved it. Overall, we had a nice experience and recommend it to others.

We came last minute for Queen’s Feast and this is a review of that meal specifically so everyday may be different. The service was outstanding. Cocktails were absolutely perfect. They went down so smooth I wanted to have more and more. The portions were pretty small and I’m not sure if those are standard size or QF size but the food itself was great. Give it a whirl if you’re in the area.

We had a great time at Dogwood Southern Table. The ambience at this restaurant is just great. Our server was knowledgeable about their full menu, listened to what we were looking for and got the chef to make some special items for us. The food was simply spectacular! Right portions of appetizers, entrees, sides, and desserts. We ordered the crab cake for appetizer and the sauce that came with was outstanding! Everyone’s entree dishes were spectacular - we ordered NC Trout, Panko Crusted Flounder, Ribeye, and the Filet Mignon. For dessert, we shared the carrot cake and ganache chocolate cake. Both were fantastic although the carrot cake was a hit as it was moist and tasted like real carrots. While we were dinning, our server and three different people came to check if all was good. Normally we would be bothered by that, however, they timed it just right and it felt like they truly cared to know how we were doing. This is a 5-star experience as you get both service and high quality food. Definitely recommend and will for sure be back.

Since this was our first time there, we ordered small plates to share between my husband and myself. We loved duck with dumplings! The duck was crispy on the skin, and soft on the meat, it was very flavorful, and dumplings were very tasty too. For this dish alone, we certainly will come to this restaurant! The other dishes were good, just not as impressive to us as the duck. Overall, food is great, the portion is a little on the small side.

This is a must try for the Southpark area. The service is impeccable and the food is even better. It's truly a southern curated menu. I highly recommend the duck and dumplings, and shrimp fritters to start with. It's very tempting to get even juice and favor off of your plate with the ribeye steak and shrimp and grits.

My husband found this place a while back and we finally got to try it tonight and we had the best experience. The staff was very professional, helpful, and friendly. Our server came around the perfect amount of times. We ordered several small plates because we couldn’t decide what we wanted and our server had each plate come out at the perfect time as we finished the previous plate. We got the duck & dumplings, mushroom toast, fries, scallop risotto, and lamb pasta…. Wow. Just wow. It was the best food we had. Our favorite was definitely the mushroom toast! We also got coffee which was in a French press and that was so good!! We will definitely be back for another date night!

Just dined here on 10/13 to celebrate my birthday with family and friends. I grew up in Charlotte, but we live in Ohio now, so a Charlotte friend recommended Dogwood (and was also with us that night). Got there early and had wine at the bar while we waited for everyone to arrive - they have Saldo which is a red I like. Really liked the ambiance. My son and I shared several things including the French fries, duck and dumplings, and American wagyu flank. We tried some crab cake that my sister ordered. Two others ordered the fish - which looked very good! For dessert, we got three types of ice cream (including one with corn), and others shared some of their pumpkin cheesecake. Overall, the meal was quite delicious! The service was excellent. Wish I still lived in Charlotte now!

The food was excellent. I had the trout while my friend had shrimp and grits. We both enjoyed them very much. The service was average. Restaurant inflation was in full view. ($9 for a side? Really?). Thankfully we had a BOGO coupon. There is convenient free parking behind the restaurant. Overall it was a good experience.

Wow! Great meal! Everything about these recipes is unique. If you want a one of a kind meal, get to Dogwood. I had the off-menu catch of the day, which was a grilled black grouper dish. Fantastic. Wife had the signature trout dish. Very good. The brussel sprout side was delicious too. Nice smokey bacon flavor. The drink menu is outstanding too. We had the crab hushpuppy appetizer too, to get started. Man those were good! Dogwood is not cheap though. We dropped $160 for the two of us, including tip.

The food and service was great. The owner was very accommodating to our group, as we ended a video shoot with dinner at her restaurant. 6 people in our party and quite a number of cocktails.

Every restaurant should strive to provide not just the phenomenal customer service we experienced here, but also the culinary excellence they delivered on every plate. It was me and my husband's first time there this evening and we left feeling more satisfied with this restaurant experience than we'd been in a long time. From the exceptional staff, wonderful ambiance and consistently great food, I'd say the Dogwood is hands down one of Charlottes best restaurants you should absolutely consider visiting first chance you get!

The service here is what is really worth coming for. We honestly found the food pretty average. But the staff was so friendly and fantastic! We got the duck and dumplings and the farm chicken. I would recommend getting some bread on the side for the duck as it is salty but has a nice sauce afterwards. Generally we found both dishes to be over seasoned. We got the chocolate cake for dessert- simple but on the dry side. everyone is currently wearing masks and also tables are spaced appropriately. We went in the evening there was no outdoor seating just inside.

Great dining experience and excellent food. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the meal. The wild boar + scallops was a top 10 all time favorite dish for me. The boar was prepared perfectly, not gamey tasting, and quite tender. Enjoyed the charcuterie plate as an appetizer--excellent assortment of meats and local cheeses. Apparently they cure their own meat on premise. The smoked trout was exceptionally good and the mustard is the best I've ever had. Great ambiance, friendly staff, and good selection of wine and spirits. Great place for a date or business dinner. Our server, Dean, was best in class.

Five star service, five star food with one odd and out of place exception. It wasn't wygu. Was supposed to be but it was sirloin at best. A delicious sirloin I might add with complimenting flavors and an amazing tasting meal as a whole. Everything minus the wygu/sirloin was perfection. Top notch for the Charlotte food scene. They also had a special touch for our anniversary. Get the desert.... This is exceptional as well. Our server was pleasant.

Had dinner last night and we were very impressed with this restaurant. The service was attentive with great recommendations by Josh. Would highly recommend the Oysters Dogwood and NC shrimp. Heard great things about the Duck & Dumplings so will have to give them a try next time. We will define back.
