I couldn't have asked for a better birthday meal, it was so so delicious and the staff was fabulous! We will definitely be back, we found our favorite spot!
From the moment we walked in the door we were beyond satisfied. Our server, Trey, went above and beyond the entire time to ensure we loved our food and experience. I think we've found our new regular spot. Oh and get the stuffed cabbage rolls. You won't be disappointed.
Last night was our very first time here after driving by it many times to go to our favorite brewery. Well let’s just say we regret now not coming here sooner. Marni was our wait staff and we lacked for nothing. We ask for suggestions and she guided us through our ordering. Needless to say this may have been our first time but it definitely won’t be the last. I was telling people I work with how great the food was and even shared some with a coworker. It was an awesome experience!!!!😍😍
I love that place! The food is always good and the service is always outstanding! We love Trey that works at the restaurant. I tell everyone I know about the restaurant and I always tell them to ask for Trey! He is probably one of the best server ever and I go a lot of restaurants!
Trey waited on us and he was spot on. The Jumbalaya was great and the grilled fungi pizza was even better! Can't wait to come back and try more!

We visited after seeing Intermezzo on the food network. It looked delicious on TV, and we were not disappointed. Everything we had was delicious, and the service was great.

Randomly decided to drive from Columbia, SC to try something new...sorry I can't remember our bartenders name, but he was fantastic. Great service, atmosphere, food was on point...I have nothing bad to say!! Check it out and I'll most certainly make another trip back!
Me and my wife were visiting Charlotte for a weekend. We were craving some good pizza, so we Googled pizza places near the downtown area. Customer service was excellent! Everyone was so nice and polite. Food was prepared very well. Everything we ordered tasted really good. It was obvious that fresh ingredients are used to prepare meals. Most definitely will be going back the next time we're in the area.
We had a great time tonight! Started with the corn dip. Always a favorite. For dinner we had the shrimp special, lasagna and blackened chicken pasta. They were all awesome.
The ravioli was phenomenal and I grew eating homemade ravioli from my Italian grandmother. Lovely vodka sauce over it. Our waiter Trey was also wonderful.
This place is a trip!!! I was unsure if we were going in, but I am so glad we did. Do not let anything on the outside sway you from going in for some amazing food. Jacob was our server, and he was very helpful with any questions. He even gave some great suggestions. I am looking forward to going back to try something else.
I went to Intermezzo in Charlotte, North Carolina as part of a meet up group. It was 16 of us and I found out when we got there, we had to sit outside. It was one of the hottest days of the year. They had fans but it absolutely wasn’t enough. There were also flies but there’s no way they could help that. The service started out well, but then went downhill. I totally understand that people are short staffed so it didn’t bother me too much. The food was average. I was really looking forward to going there. I ended up getting the kale salad with the shrimp. The dressing was good. Two of my friends got the eggplant. They said it was way over salted. They also made mistakes on a few of the orders, but the best part was one of the mess ups was a pizza so my friend was still hungry and asked if she could have the pizza that was a mistake and the waiter said “yeah, but you have to pay for it”. She said, of course. I thought that was a little tacky. I would definitely go back and try it again. I think it was just too many of us at once and I wish they would’ve told the head of the meet up that we were going to sit outside because we probably wouldn’t have gone. The other strange thing was I guess they added a server to our table and some people got two checks because each server had to get shipped separately. It is what it is.
I have passed by Intermezzo's dozens of times and always said "maybe I'll stop in next time". Well next time finally came as some friends chose it for dinner and I wish I went sooner than I did. Walking in the place gives a diner/ bar type vibe with Italian decor. The bar vibe I got might only be because the bar was full and the rest of the seating area was completely empty. What really threw me for a loop was when I got the menu and saw not only Italian but also Serbian food. Everything on the menu looked so good.
I chose the prosciutto and mushroom pasta for my entree. I was interested in the Serbian food but was thinking Italian when I got there and that's what my heart was set on. The food came out quickly and was really, really good. The prosciutto and mushroom pasta had so many flavors and was perfectly prepared.
There was a few hiccups with the service. Getting water refills could be challenging (I had to get up and walk over to the waiter and ask for refills a couple of times). Also, at the end of the meal it took several times to ask for our check to pay so we could leave. Everyone was super friendly once they got to our table be to get them to our table was hard at times.
This place is very very very good. The menu selection is open to vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Unfortunately, I did not snap a picture of our entrees, but everyone at our table enjoyed their food. The pizzas are delicious and very well made. There is a great selection. I got a chicken entree with mashed potatoes. Extremely delicious. The food tastes much better than you’d expect, very very good quality and amazing flavors. I recommend trying some of the Serbian dishes as they expand your experiences.
The vibe of the place is very nice. It’s a little dark inside with cute windows looking out. The bar seems friendly and our server was extremely attentive and kind. Food came in a good time.
Pictured below are the desserts, the tiramisu and their banana pudding. Strongly recommend getting a dessert if you can fit one in after enjoying one of their portions. Definitely will be coming back to try more of their food. I came in on a Sunday at around 1-2 and it was not very busy.
I don’t give a lot of kudos but I was impressed! Had pizza with sausage, pepperoni, onions, and green peppers. Perfect! Trey was on point. Didn’t miss a beat. Great pizza, nice ambiance, perfect service, and I was lucky to have great company.
Wow. Just wow. By far, the most delicious pizza I've had in Charlotte and a close 2nd to Pizza I had in Florence Italy. The Pesto Chicken Pizza will have you wanting another slice even after you are full. The Funghi Pizza was delicious as well, and you could taste the depth of the flavor in the sauce. Highly recommended - I will most definitely be back!
Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. Came out crispy but still a bit soft so it was the perfect texture!! I got the chicken pesto pizza this time but I’m excited to come back and try some of the Serbian food as well
Stopped in with a couple of friends on a Wednesday night and I was blown away. The appetizer was these huge delicious garlic knot sticks. The marinara was spectacular. I got the blackened chicken pasta, which was so full of flavor, the pasta looked and tasted like it was made in-house and the chicken was grilled to perfection. We got Tiramisu for dessert and just like everything else, it was delicious. The Spanish wine, made with macabeo & parellada grapes paired so well with everything.
My server Jenny W on 10/13/22 7:56pm was amazing! Her personality really turned me and my husband’s date night into an entertaining night! Customer service has really become a thing of the past but Jenny still has it and my experience was nothing short of amazing. This was our first visit but it definitely won’t be the last. The food and drinks were great!
Food was delicious. Smaller portions than I expected. Will be back but will get the pizza because it's delicious.
Came to visit on a Thursday night with family and I was so impressed. It wasn’t very busy when we first got there but filled up quick.
We tried one pizza which reminded me of pizza I grew up with in NJ, also the chicken pesto pizza which was also really good. 2 of the people had the Blackened Chicken Pasta and it was a favorite. Fresh pasta, high quality chicken, the broccoli was cooked just right and such a flavorful sauce. Bread/garlic twists were all fresh and the cabbage rolls (I can’t remember what they were called though) were good.
Definitely check this place out!
Great pizza joint in plaza. 🍕 They have other options like pasta and Serbian dishes I’d like to try next time. Big patio with plenty of fans to keep cool while stuffing yourself with pizza and beer. 🍻 Partial skyline views. 🌆
This restaurant was such a pleasant surprise. I discovered it on a whim when I went to a local business. It has a very casual neighborhood feeling and doesn't look like much, plus pizza from a Serbian restaurant? I was skeptical at best. It did not resemble any pizza I ever had and I couldn't eat it fast enough, it was so delicious. Thin crispy crust, fresh flavorful cheese and seasoning. The outdoor patio and service is very pleasant and welcoming. I did not try anything else on the menu, so can't speak to it. Will absolutely return.
What an amazing place! The staff was friendly and very welcoming and the food was phenomenal! We had a party of 7 and ordered several appetizers to begin. We ordered the Bruschetta, Ricotta and Goat Cheese Crostini and Garlic Braided Twists, which were all perfectly prepared. You have to try the Prosciutto and Mushroom Pasta as a meal! The flavors melded well together. We also enjoyed a Chicken Florentine Pizza. (Minus the bacon)
We will definitely visit this place again!
We come here for the Serbian food, but the pizza is really good too! We have come a couple times and really like it here, but this place is just really overpriced. If money is no object for you, then highly recommend, but if you're on a budget, maybe not the best bang for your buck.
Fantastic! Extremely clean restaurant, cozy at home feeling, wonderful staff (Jake was our amazing server), delicious food.
I have had pizza in 7 different states at hundreds of restaurants. Their pizza is an easy top-5 for anyone and personally probably one of my favorites, ever.
We (4) shared the Mexican, Chicken Florentine, Grilled Fungi, and Milanese. We also shared the Garlic Braided Twists and the Ricotta and Goat Cheese Crostini. Phenomenal flavor, perfectly seasoned, and well cooked.
Not a single less than stellar aspect from Intermezzo! Thank you for the great time.
Great place for a date night. There are not many booths inside so it pays off to get there early. The wait staff is super friendly and helpful.
