I had my Bachelorette party dinner here in the wine cellar. There were 8 of us and everyone loved the food. The wine selection is superb. The gentleman waiter, Cary had a great attitude and was very attentive. I would recommend this place to others.

It was such a nice evening. I loved the ambience, the food was so delicious, my steak was cooked just the way i like it and so tender I almost could cut it with a fork. The flavor was so good. I highly recommend Bonterra.

The food was phenomenal! Unique items with great presentation. Our server was fairly new but was highly accommodating and found out anything we asked that he didn't know. The atmosphere is charming and quaint. Highly recommend.

Bonterra is a five plus star treasure! From the moment you walk in the door, the staff is attentive to every detail of the evening. Excellent service, out of this world food, extensive wine list, & all in a beautiful setting. Thank you for an awesome dining experience!

I was truly amazed. I am a foodie and have been to many restaurants in Charlotte since moving here, but this by far is my favorite. The wine was good, the wait staff was awesome, and the food was perfect. Great dining experience

David was amazing. The food was amazing. Everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Despite being Restaurant Week the food AND service was top notch. I’ll definitely be back!

Arguably the best meal we've had in Charlotte! Each dish was as beautiful to the eye as to the belly. We will be back!!

From the moment we entered we were welcomed by the host and bartender so graciously. The wine and entrees were amazing! The best pork and filet we have ever had it melted in your mouth. The dessert of Banana Foster Cheese Cake Bomb was incredible!!

Great dining experience. The mood was inviting and cozy. We celebrated a 30th birthday and the service was on point. Even though it was quite warm where we were, portable air conditioners were provided to compensate. The food was lovely! I would recommend this restaurant to others.

Really went all out but so glad as we had plenty of food for everyone! Very nice open layout and kitchen. Staff was very attentive and offered excellent wine pairing suggestions. I’m looking forward to trying breakfast, lunch, and especially Sunday brunch! On a side note, the high top chairs are different but comfortable once you manage to get into them.

Nice place in Phillips place. Came for the 1/2 priced wine on Monday. Great deal. Wanted to try some of the bar bites, but there were not any seats available at the bar, so will have to come back. Had the charcuterie board instead, which was a good option with some 1/2 priced prosecco. Nice atmosphere.

We have dined at Bonterra quite a few times. It’s become one of our favorite restaurants in Charlotte. The food and drinks are always delicious. The service is superb and the atmosphere is always lovely. I feel like I’m in a fancy Paris cafe’ when we go. And the latte is so smooth and creamy!

This was our first time eating at Bonterra since they relocated to Phillip’s Place near Southpark, and our first time there since pre-pandemic. The new location is beautifully and tastefully decorated, very open, not too crowded, with a spacious bar and cavernous ceiling that prevented sounds from being too loud - loved it. The food was delicious, if a little heavy on the salt. The filet was perfectly medium rare and tasty; both the Chilean sea bass and NC Trout were crispy on the outside but soft and moist on the inside. The sauces were rich in flavor, even if that was a combination of plenty of salt and butter. Don’t get me wrong - I’m not complaining, but it might be too much for some people. This is probably not the right restaurant choice, if you’re on a low-sodium diet, is all I’m saying. The crème brûlée was a lovely finish. Excellent selection of wines, too. The only thing I would avoid? The tiramisu. While our waiter promptly replaced my wife’s tiramisu without question, which we appreciated, it was - without a doubt - the worst tiramisu we’ve ever tasted. It wasn’t just “not good.” It was awful. Who knows? Maybe something was missed in preparation by accident, and this was an exception? Given how good everything else was, I wouldn’t be surprised, and I can understand that happening. Hopefully they’ll sort it out, and next time it will be delicious. This one item certainly won’t keep us from returning, that’s for sure. We will definitely be back.

Excellent service, beautiful atmosphere with a nice outdoor seating area and exquisite food. The fried oysters were devine and I usually don't like them prepared that way. Devine.

The new Bonterra doesn't disappoint. We had brunch. The wine selection is on point and we had an amazing French chardonnay, but everything on their wine list is top notch. If you go get the cheese and charcuterie board, you won't be disappointed. Both myself and my friends had the bonterra breakfast. I had over medium eggs and he had over easy... and they got it right! Be prepared to spend some $$$ but also be prepared to have a great dining experience!

Everything about Bonterra exceeded my highest expectations! Attentive, formal, friendly service, leather bar seats and dining room chairs, an extraordinary wine list, and the menu is far more sophisticated than the casual American cuisine it advertises. I enjoyed the Jumbo Shrimp Mediterranean. Fine dining at its FINEST! Next visit, I'll bring my family, and my professional camera. A photographer's paradise, images worth capturing. I don't see my original review so I submitted another one. I hope this time, it takes!

Everyone here was so incredible and welcoming, especially Melissa! I had the Korean Fried Chicken and the brussel sprouts, they were divine! I finished it off with their carrot cake which I don’t even have words for! I will definitely be coming back very soon!

Service is top notch. The staff help each other and your drinks are never empty. Our server Elora was amazing, she knew the wines to recommend based upon people’s preference and was so friendly. We had a table of 4, most everyone loved their entrees. I had the lamb and it definitely lacked seasoning / salt and was a very small portion for the price. The sea bass got rave reviews as did the veggie pasta and the filet. The craft cocktails also tasked delicious. Giving the lamb a pass as the drinks service and the others loved their entrees. Will be going back and highly recommend.

We ate at the bar. The bartender did a great job of recommending wines to our taste. She also had great knowledge of the local suppliers that they were getting the seafood. The rolls were hot and fresh out of the oven. While I am typically a fan of black eyed peas, my introduction of crowder peas with the pork chop were very tasty. The pumpkin souffle was freshly cooked with a fabulous vanilla sauce

We had Mother's day lunch in this beautiful old church. Restaurant is a fantastic place for any meal. Service is very attentive, but not smothering. My only negative would be portion size. My filet was delicious, but 2 very small pieces.

==This place hits it out of the ballpark on three fronts. ==First, it is based on very high quality ingredients that are prepared in innovative ways while respecting the flavor. For example “ buffalo cauliflower “ is lightly crusted and the “ hot “ is flavorful but mild which allows the nuttiness of the blanched cauliflower to come through bathed in a mild blue cheese mousse. Second, the wine list by-the-glass is exceptional. Tell the waitstaff what you like and ask for a surprise. Third, in the “ new normal “ of COVID-19, the restaurant ( a former church ) is spacious and airy allowing for good precautions while enjoying a memorable meal. The bonus: chef loves Spain so come on Monday or Tuesday for house specials from Spain

Went here for the first time tonight and we loved it! My husband . the pork chop and I had the sea bass. We shared the Azalea salad and the Strozzapreti Pasta. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, we had absolutely no room for dessert but will try next time. They also have a wonderful wine selection. The staff was amazing! Our waiter, Joel along with Linda and manager, Jeff, created an all around great experience for us. They were super helpful with suggestions between food and some Spanish wine selections, we loved all they suggested. Great atmosphere and beautifully done restaurant. Can't wait to come back soon!

Wonderful dinner enjoying the early spring weather outside. Love their huge selection of wines and how open they are to our trying a few before deciding on the one we wanted. Fresh pasta and sea bass was amazing. Overall would highly recommend.

Was here on a Thursday night a month ago, and the food selection, drink selection, and service was great. The execution on the food could have been a bit better for the prices charged, but the overall experience was still five stars for me. One of the members on the group needed to order gluten free, and the kitchen was able to adapt as requested. Overall good experience.
