I’ve eaten a lot of ice cream from a lot of different places and this is hands down the best ice cream I’ve EVER had! Their flavors are incredible (banana pudding and coconut are my favs) and the employees are very helpful and friendly too. DEFINITELY recommend!!

Um ok...best dessert place EVER!! If you haven't tried ninety's yet you are missing out. I literally drive 45mins almost every weekend to get desserts here and trust me, it's worth the drive!! I promise you no other place has creative and delicious desserts like they do.

Such a fun ice cream shop! As soon as you walk in, staff are friendly and attentive (and happy to answer a newbies questions about the menu-thanks!) I had a S'Mores Yum-ee Bun. It's just the right amount of sweetness that your looking for. The bun is sweet but not overpowering, and the ice cream is good. The only thing I would like better is a more unique variety of ice cream.

I grew up eating here in college. They have great prices and their food is delicious. I tend to stick to the wraps (the Cajun is my favorite). My husband gets the app wrap and parents always go with the Chicken salad melt. My parents used to live in the condos behind the restaurant when I was a baby so I think its nostalgic for them. Their ranch is homemade so you can't go wrong! We love this place! Everyday they have a different special.

Had turkey BLT sub. It was good, fresh and clean, crisp vegetables. Friend had tuna and didn't like it. Had onions and English Peas in it, not our type of tuna salad.

I love Ninety's. Once you get past the overwhelming onion or garlic smell that hits you when you walk in, the food is great. Their chicken salad is very light on the mayo and is very flavorful. Their potato salad is good and they have a great ice cream selection.

Amazing desserts available here. Had their Brookie monster, the best amalgamation of cookie, ice cream and brownie! We can choose our own flavour of ice cream, toppings and syrup, we went with hot fudge and it turned out to be delicious! Customer service is good and fast too. Highly recommend to try out their dessert!

I got the Brookie Monster and it was delicious! The brownie was so soft. I don’t think the ice cream is house made but still good regardless.

My family loved this place. Such a cute 90s place. They have delicious desserts. Staff has been friendly each time we have gone. And after you get your order you can walk down outside and over to the mini boardwalk.

If you're in the area near Ninety's, do yourself a favor and join the extremely long line that awaits you. Amazing combination, speedy service at a reasonable price.

Cute lil ice cream shop at the boardwalk by the lake. Great place to stop in after lunch or dinner at one of the surrounding restaurants, grab a cone and snag a bench at the lake for some nice relaxing time. It can be a wee bit expensive but that’s ok, I think it’s worth it.. ice cream is delicious and they have some great flavors. I tried the graham cracker crunch…graham flavored cream, graham swirls and chocolate covered graham pieces. So so so good.

There’s a lot of variety on the menu. I almost got a smoothie which looked amazing but stuck with a brownie & ice cream. This is a decent size & you can share if you choose. I love the mall morals. Paying homage to the best decade ever!

This is a fun little ice cream shop that letters you have it your way. They offer great big gooey cookies, shakes, floats and some of the best I've cream sandwiches made with donuts. Walk in, place your order and then they'll deliver it to your seat or you can wait for them to hand it to you. They also offer some delicious sandwiches during the day. They do close the sandwich counter before they close down the Ice cream area so plan on getting there before 5:00 pm if you want a sandwich.

If you have a sweet tooth this is definitely the place for you! I got the Shabooya Brownie Milkshake and it was awesome (wouldn't recommend the cookie rim though bc it sticks w/icing)! The shop is small and ordering is straightforward. Pick out your favorite 90s cartoon characters while you wait for your dessert too if you have the chance!

Really cool idea. The line is long, but the staff works really hard to keep it moving quickly. Milkshakes were all good, but I wouldn't say amazing. We'll definitely go back to try more flavors.

I absolutely love Ninetys Mangonada drink, i come here specifically for it. Their ice cream looks so good i wish they had non dairy options so I could eat it, that's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars... Their line is always out the door so i know they're good lol

Cool ice cream shop located at the boardwalk in the University area of Charlotte. Several options for ice cream, shakes, and smoothies. 1. The milkshakes are just ok. They include plenty of toppings but I've enjoyed shakes for regular restaurants just as much. 2. Very reasonable prices. 3. My kids loved the ice cream. 4. Really cool and original 90's theme. I would definitely suggest everyone to try it out for themselves. It's worth the stop.

The Nineties is a must-try. They serve some of the best ice creams in Charlotte, North Carolina. They have a good selection of ice cream, milkshake, macaroon sandwiches, bun sandwiches, and cookie sandwiches. Super friendly staff and fast quick service. The best part is the location. Grab the ice cream and take a walk around the boardwalk or grab a lake facing seat and watch the geese’s

We had 2 different items today. Definitely recommend Brookie monster, but I don’t recommend carrot cake one. I have tried carrot cake with curiosity but I would never retry again.

Such a cool ole fashioned ice cream shop. Cool art and atmosphere. Unfortunately the bar inside was closed due to covid so there was nowhere to go but outside. My date had the cookie 🍨 sundae and it was phenomenal.

Yum! Im not big on ice cream but I do love juices and smoothies so I ordered the shark attack mock tail and it was reminiscent of a Shirley temple with maybe a splash of club soda. It was so refreshing and delicious. Two thumbs up!

Amazing seasonal milkshakes! Great service, quick & smooth transaction/delivery. Environment can be given more of a 90’s look to go with their name, but that doesn’t take away from the wide selection of desserts they provide.

This had been on my list for a long time, ever since they were first featured by Charlotte Agenda. I finally got to try it and I can't wait to go back now. We got the St. Pat's Day Lucky Charms macaron ice cream sandwich and the strawberry shortcake yum-ee bun. The ice cream sandwich macaron was amazing. Everything about it was perfect. The cereal in the outside added good flavor to the ice cream, the macaron was delicious, and the sauce was the perfect complement. It was huge, so I had to bite the top and bottom halves separately. The yum-ee bun was good, but it felt like the portions were off. Most bites all I tasted was strawberry ice cream, which was disappointing. They said this was their most popular item which surprised me because I thoughtthe macaron was better. They also make cereal milkshakes and cookie dough pops which I would love to come back and try. I definitely think this place is worth driving up to the University to try out! I will be day dreaming of their delicious desserts.
