Mugs owner and staff are incredible! Mugs has excellent coffee and cookies. Great venue and easy to understand and work with. They have a easy to find calendar so you can reserve your space. I'm part of a group that meets once a month and Mugs puts out clear and visible signs reserving space for our group. They even stay open later to serve our event that ranges from 50-80 folks who love and buy great coffee. This is the venue to grow your event or group! A+++

Good Coffee by Great People. Mugs is the kind of coffee shop that reminds you of Cliff and Norm from Cheers. It's the kind of place where you can go and everybody knows your name. But beyond that, they also make a point to remember your favorite kind of coffee drink including whether you want 2% milk, half-and-half, a couple shots of espresso or white chocolate and sometimes you can just say "Hey it's that drink that you made last time" and the Owner Oliver remembers.
In addition, they have such a strong sense of community. They assist with local artists by hanging up their art for sale, hosting open mic nights and other community events, and letting business leave out business cards and flyers. They have also been a strong supporter of local charities including the The Charlotte Geeks' own Geek Gala (who raises funds for the Children's Home Society of North Carolina to help foster kids and their families. )
The food is good, the drinks are even better, but the best thing about the place is the owners and staff. They can't be beat.
Definitely quieter than a Starbucks. I had a small nonfat latte. It was just okay. A touch too much foam for a latte. My husband had the coffee and said it was great. Local art on the walls for sale. Oliver, the owner, made our drinks and was very friendly. This place needs cookies, a variety of cookies. Pastries are sparse. I love to dip cookies in my coffee.
Friendly, personalized service.. They brew the best coffee (mostly fair trade) in Charlotte. I especially like their dark roasts. You won't however find too many baked goods (there are some and delicious) or sandwiches (like Starbucks). This is a coffee shop for the connoisseurs. The shop is located in an area that also has a Starbucks (which I like too!) and Caribou coffee. While I like Starbucks and Caribou's coffee's too, Mugs has something they don't: lot of eclectic space and a very friendly (without being intrusive) owner: Oliver. If you visit the shop a couple of times, you will note that he is great with remembering faces and their preferences.
There is also a lot of space in the coffee shop. I see a few regulars coming in and working on their laptops all the time. A great place to lounge. In the evenings you will sometimes find people playing board games. Has a small but decent collection of books and board games. Just the perfect coffee shop!
You MUST try it!. I must first say that I really enjoy Starbucks coffee, but when I found Muggs I had to put Starbucks in the back seat. The owner, Oliver Wu is the most down to earth guy and the atmosphere is so relaxing, unlike Starbucks' noisy atmosphere. I love the fact that Muggs supports local small businesses and uses local coffee. Don't take my word for it, try it yourself!
The Perpetual Writer and Mugs. Do you have a problem with Starbucks? Well, even if you don't, you have to try Mugs. The owner used to manage a chain coffee shop and he has taken all their good points and upgraded a lot of the things where the chains fall short. For instance, there's lots of room to sit and relax or to get together with a larger group of friends or business folks. Mugs serves great coffee and the service is superb. When you are near the center of Charlotte it's only a few minutes to find this great coffee shop on Park Road right at the intersection of Selwyn. Great local coffee shop with personality.. I know Oliver Wu, and Oliver knows coffee. Great guy. He brews Counter Culture and does a fabulous job with espresso drinks.

Check out this awesome café, perfect for board game enthusiasts! It's a unique space where you can team up with others to play a variety of games while enjoying endless coffee. Personally, I absolutely adored their hot chocolate; it had a delightful flavor and was served piping hot. A must-visit spot!
I love this place. Barista is always very kind. The tea and hot chocolate are great items to try. Plenty of places to park and to sit. Cute couches and decor as well.

My husband and I are moving out of the area and one thing we will miss the most is Mugs. My husband and I visit at least once a week and they provide coffee for our church as well. The coffee is priced fairly, but definitely less than surrounding competitors. I routinely drink their house blend or an oat milk cappuccino. The house blend is balanced and lovely to drink as is. The oat milk cappuccinos are always divine and super frothy. We wish we could take Mugs with us, but I definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the Southpark area.

Delicious and very affordable!! I was in need of a coffee shop from which to work - they have free wifi, free refills for tea, comfy chairs, plenty of outlets, good and quiet music, and delicious chicken salad croissants. Absolutely ideal.

This is a large ice coffee with sugar free salted Carmel and a bit of half and half. ( pricing is incredible compared to Starbucks)

Mugs Is such a wonderful place to hang. This has been a social outlet for me. I have met and have become friends with many. Oliver Wu the owner has done an amazing job with this establishment. He hires such friendly people who are quite engaging when time permits. Truly one of the best establishments I have been to. I love their lattes and muffins .

Great coffee shop. They always make tasty drinks and the atmosphere is relaxed and familiar. The baristas are always kind and welcoming. Shout out to the young man tidying up the cafe before close. Every times I looked up he was taking care of side work tasks. It's refreshing to see diligent workers.
