Food was delicious. Generous quantity. Paneer was melting in the mouth making paneer makhani very tasty. Only thing which they need to avoid is the food color. Clean restrooms. Ample parking & located near midtown park. Music was too loud inside the restaurant.
You can't beat the Maharani lunch menu options. I had delicious Butter Chicken (red gravy/sauce) and my friend enjoyed the Tikka Masala (orange gravy/sauce)! Yeah, it's in a cafeteria lunch tray but you won't care about that at all when you taste the food! I get all the sauce with my roti! I especially like the spicy chic pea stuff today (I don't know what to call it).
The service was amazing! So attentive, without being notice! Fun assortment of india beers to pair nicely with the spicy cuisine! Such a fun date night for my wife and I.
Friendly staff with quick service! I was amazed at how flavorful and delicious the Lentil Soup was! Definitely a must try! My friend & I shared the Assorted Bread Basket; yum! It had garlic Naan, roti and a 3rd type, I forgot. They were ALL delicious!! My friend had Butter Chicken and I tasted the sauce ... it blew me away!! Incredibly delicious!! I had the Seafood Dish, lunch portion, which was huge! The seafood was scallops, salmon & shrimp in this Curry type sauce that awoke all my taste buds! It was mouthwatering!! It came with basmati rice & some sort of Curry Veggie fritter ... both scrumptious!! I can't wait to return and try other dishes!! You must try this place, you won't regret it!! Also, the prices are extremely reasonable! My seafood lunch dish was $13!! My friend's butter chicken was $11 and I think the bread basket was $7. Not bad at all.
I had the lamb mango with meat samosa and garlic naan. The food was delicious, however, I told them I wanted it spicy but didn't get that. They gave me the spice on the side.
I've been here a few times. The food is great. The prices might be a little higher than I would pay if I were to get a regular meal but the lunch prices are reasonable. The food is very good.
Came here to this fine establishment with one of the best service and really good food! Vicky was our server and did an amazing job to take care of us and has everything to our expectations.
Update: came back to this gem after an year and these guys remembered us and treated us with great respect and appreciated our return. Offered us really good recommendations such as garlic shrimp and egg chilli which is not even on the menu. Again, great place!!
Fantastic place to visit. The food was incredible. The owner was very accommodating and the server was very attentive. Our party of 6 tried a variety of dishes, everything was fresh and delicious. Definitely would recommend!
Just ordered food from here for the first time and this is hands down the best Indian food I have ever experienced. We ordered the butter chicken, garlic naan, samosas and basmati rice and after the first bite of the butter chicken I knew this meal was going to be good. Whatever they’re doing at Maharani, keep doing it. Because I can tell you I will definitely be back. How this place only has a 3.9 star rating, I have absolutely no idea but it needs to be 5.
Nice little Indian restaurant. Staff were all friendly, and the food came out quickly and deliciously. Definitely coming back here when I come back to Charlotte
Very good North Indian food. Should visit at least once and experience it, staff is friendly just let them know the level of spices you can handle
Ordered takeoff via Uber Eats during a layover downtown. First off, the food was wonderful. The spice level was spot on as requested and the portion sizes were very nice! The entire meal was delicious. I started with an order of vegetable samosas followed by the Chana Masala (spicy). Fantastic! The garlic naan was the perfect touch to round off the meal!
I have ordered Uber Eats and Grub Hub more times than I can count since the world ended via Covid and I have to take my hat off to Maharani! On top of honoring my request for utensils, they provided a tray!!! Now this might now seem like a big deal, but being able to plate your food after months and months of eating out of a take away container is.... well, it just really made the experience a rather pleasant one! Great thinking and consideration by the folks at Maharani! Thank you so much!
